Jakiel nodded. "Yeah. Though, I hope you realize that his name is really Jack. The Mad Hatter bit is for mother's amusement." He sighed. "Though, they are hoeplessly in love, even now..."

"yeah.' Alex said smiling. "It would be weird to be named hatter." Alex said with giggle. "So..how long has your father been gone?" Alex asked.

Jakiel chuckled. "Yes, but that's his mad scientist title: Mad Hatter and his lovely monster wife, Alice." He then thought about Alex's question as he sat down on the sofa. "Hm...perhaps...five years this time...before that...eight years."

Jakiel chuckled. "And then he asks you to be his guinea pig for kicks." He put his arms behind his head. "I used to let him, as a kid. Thought it was funny when he would rearrange my organs and then put them back together. Then I grew some smarts and told him no more. So he respected my choice." He sighed. "And now, I'm the 'liveliest' one in my family." He cringed at the bad joke. "Sorry."

"that's ok babe." Alex said as he cuddled up to Jakiel. "I think it would be interesting to have zombie parents." Alex said with a smile. He then sighed after a minute. "I probably should go home tonight..huh?" Alex asked.

Jakiel chuckled. "Yes, to some extent." Then he frowned slightly at Alex's words. "Only if you want to, This isn't Neverland, you can always come back here." He then smiled. "Though, if you decide to leave, I'll walk with you."

Alex smiled and wrapped his arms around the other. He kissed Jakiel softly and rested against him.

Jakiel returned the kissed before watching Alex rest against him. Yeah. It'll probably better if I meet his folks sooner, rather than later at this rate...

Jakiel smiled as Alex fell asleep. Then he frowned as he heard someone coming down the steps into his room.
Hatter smiled at his son, seeing that Alex had fallen asleep. "Hey, son. So, how have ya been? Your mother told me all about your new experiment. Have you given up on becoming a zombie with your mother and I?"
Jakiel nodded. "Yes. I've decided to grow old with Alex, if possible."
Hatter nodded. "Ah, yes. Love makes one dance to any tune it pleases..."

The next morning, Alex woke and used the bathroom. He then cuddled back up to Jakiel.

Jakiel was up by the time Alex came back downstairs. He was scratching the back of his head. "Nn... Alex, we have a problem..." He had a scowl on his face. "Hatter invited your folks over for dinner today."
Zeke woke up that morning feeling great. Even though it would be the second day of testing, he felt it was going to be a good day for the two of them. After all, he won a free trip for two to a natural hot springs.
