 "I must add, It's mighty weird for a man to be the leader of her village. It used to be her mother. Who was much more fitting and powerful. My family is part of the village, too."

Yuri's face lit up. "Ah! Him and my son Yasushiro were always big rivals from a young age. Watching them quarrel always made me laugh and was a great source of entertainment!" He chuckled.

Aphrodite hid her temptation to laugh "I've been told a few stories from my mother about their fights. It was actually quiet entertaining."

"You are very beautiful, you must have a very lucky mate." His smiled disappeared. "I wish my Luna could get mated. Me and her are the last of our clan, It is a situation of life and death that she bears offspring." He sighed. "Why isn't she mated yet? Was she raised wrong or something?"

Aphrodite's lip quivered "No. I don't have a mate. The man who apperantly 'Won' had placed a spell on me to make me weaker. The whole thing was a fake."

Yuri's eyes narrowed. "A coward, I see. He would have been killed in my village. If a male can't protect his mate he does not deserve her." Yuri started to pace as if working off steam. "If you can't find a strong mate its going to be hard to find Luna one...I should just pick one for her."
