((*blinks in amazement at your amazingly long post* I love it! Until you said that they were all Ocs I thought Taki's adoring crew were Mariah and Kevin ^^. Now, to match your post. *cracks knuckles*))

"And I thought that nurses were meant to be pretty." Kai answered, shaking her arm off his own and making his own way to the table. "I guess we're both disappointed then, hm?" He asked, eyeing the straps on the table with hidden apprehension.

He really did not like the look of this.

"Am I going up here then?" He asked, looking over at Ralef and gesturing to the table.

Sacha blinked and frowned, looking carefully at Kisa. "Fayina?" He asked, moving to sit down on Kisa's bed. He frowned and studied her face.

Kisa nodded slowly. "It's me, Sacha." She said quietly, moving from her position at the head of the bed down to where Sacha was sitting. "Ya znal, chto naydu tebya"

Sacha smiled and reached out to touch Kisa's face. "Ya tebya lyublyu" He said quietly.

Kisa shut her eyes, bringing one of her hands up to hold Sacha's hand in place. "I know." She said quietly, turning her face and kissing the palm of Sacha's hand lightly.

Kisa sighed and took Sacha's hand away from her face, putting it down on the bed gently. "Did anyone see you come in?"

Sacha shook his head. "I was careful because I didn't know if you were really back." He broke off to look at Kisa carefully. "You look... different."

Kisa couldn't help but smile. "Going on your first mission will do that to a person." She told him, smiling sadly. "But I'm still me. I just look a bit different."

"Why didn't you tell me?" Sacha asked. "We get notice of an impending mission weeks before we have to go so we can learn about the person we're acting as." He told her.

Kisa sighed and looked at the bed. "I don't know why I didn't tell you. I thought I had more time. One day they just took me away and did all of this stuff to change how I looked and then I was in Japan." She tried to explain it.

Sacha sighed. "They just told me that you had left." He said sadly, and even then they were looking at me and wondering why I cared at all. Where were you when you were recovering from your surgery? I figured that you had been sent on a mission but I thought you might have been somewhere nearby- at least in the first week that you were gone."

Kai looked back at Ralef steadily. "Did anyone say I couldn't speak?" He asked. He looked at the table before putting his hands on the sides and jumping to sit on it. He sat on the side, looking around and feeling like he was a little kid in a doctor's surgery.

It wasn't a nice feeling.

Kisa nodded. "I was. I was in that weird little isolation room they have down at the medical wing. I have no idea what type of drugs they pumped into me but they had me out of bandages within a week and looking like this." She gestured to her face with a sad smile. "It still hurts a little bit to move, though."

Sacha's eyebrows knitted in concern. "But you left months ago."

Kisa shrugged. "Probably a side effect." She told him. "Don't worry, it's not like I'm going to die from it or anything."

Sacha frowned and flopped back on the bed. "As long as you can deal with it..." He said, looking at Kisa, concerned. "I'm worried about what's been happening lately, Fayina." He confided. "All of the higher ups have been antsy about something lately."

Amen to that Kai thought grimly as he lay down on the table, feeling more vulnerable than he had ever felt. He couldn't see a way out of it, so instead he concentrated on his breathing, trying to stave off the panic attack that wanted to make itself known.

As if laughing at him, all of his senses became more acute with his anxiety. The more he didn't want to feel anything the more he became aware of the coldness of the table underneath him and of the small sounds of metal instruments being moved around. He shut his eyes, before realising that only made his sense of everything stronger. He opened then again and tried to focus of something other than the nurses head looming above him.

"They're probably worried about Kai." Kisa mused aloud.

"Hm?" Sacha asked, turning dark blue eyes to look over at Kisa. "Who's Kai?"

"He's the one that I was sent on the mission to retrieve." Kisa told him, looking down at the ground. "There's some big thing going on here that Kai's supposedly the key to." She sighed. "I don't see how though."

Kai gave a yell of pain, white spots floating around in his vision as the strap was tightened around his leg. He shut his eyes again, trying to deal with the bolts of white hot pain that were coursing throughout his body fro his leg.

He slowly began to adjust to the pressure, opening his eyes slowly and breathing heavily in an attempt to will away the pain waves.

"Eh?" Sacha asked.

Kisa smiled at his clueless state. It was nice knowing that, for once, she had the upper hand on him. Almost exclusively, Sacha had taught her everything she knew now. He knew pretty much everything about her. But he didn't know something she did. And that was a good feeling.

"Kai's just a normal kid." She told him. "Ok, he's a bit more anti social than most but there nothing special about him." She sighed and lay back, her head resting on Sacha's chest. She frowned and shuffled along the bed until her feet were resting where her head was supposed to be and her head was resting squarely on Sacha's stomach. "I just feel so sorry for him."

"You're not meant to feel sorry for anyone." Sacha admonished, running his hand through Kisa's hair. It even felt different from hhow it used to be.

Kai hissed when Ralef touched his leg, scowling and trying to glare at the doctor despite the pain. "******** off." He ground out. "Leave Taki out of it. I hurt myself before you got me."

Kisa sighed. "I know." She said quietly. "But you should see him. He's younger than I am and really has no idea what's going on."

"So?" Sacha asked, "He's not your problem and you can't do anything to fix what's happening to him." He sighed and continued to gently finger comb Kisa's hair. "It's out of your power, Fayina, why do you care?"

Kisa frowned and sat up, rolled over and rested on her elbows, looking at Sacha, frowning. "What?" She asked. "You've always been the one telling me to care about people."

Kisa transferred her weight to one elbow and reached out to brush a stray bang of Sacha's hair out of his face. "What's wrong? You only become a butthead when you've got something on your mind."

[ Message temporarily off-line ]

Kevin tilted his head to the side. "Kisa? Who's that?"

Taki looked up after being broken out of his force. "Hm? Oh just someone," He replied, standing up, "Look, i gotta go so umm...yer." He swiftly walked past the other two and out into the hall.

"Wait! Commander!" Mariah exclaimed, but she was too late. She gave a Kevin a worried look. "I hope he knows what he's doing and not rushing into things like usual." She sighed and looked around the room. "God, what a mess!" Kevin laughed at her typical behaviour.

Taki walked along the hallways deep in concentration. How he managed to dodge the few people that were around was anyone's guess. He stopped suddenly and looked around. He raised an eyebrow before groaning in frustration.

I have no idea where i'm going...

He sighed and turned on his heel to walk back in the other direction and ran into someone.

"Oomf!" He bounced back and shook his head, looking up. The large blonde grinned down at him slighlty.

"Commander Keiji, it's been a while."

"Hey Spencer," Taki said, looking around again. Spencer gave him a puzzled look. "Lookin for something Keiji?"

"Ah no...Actually," Taki looked up at him again. "You wouldn't know where i could find a Kisa?"

Spencer tilted his head. "Kisa?"

"Ah yer, about yay high, lavender hair, looks 8-ish," Taki motioned with his hand.

"A kid? That would be in the cells."

"Great, thanks Spe- wait, cells?" Taki was now even more puzzled. Spencer blinked down as well.

"Um yer, there was kid like that being kept down there. I think she's a hostage or something."

It finally dawned on Taki and he whacked his forehead. "Um, no, i mean, oh what's the number...2347. #2347 is who i'm looking for."

Spencer grinned. "Ah, now i can help you, this way then."

"Oh this and that, "the doctor replied, "and that and this. Nothing for you to worry about." He looked at his watch.

"Now to wait for that to seep through and then the ever lovely blood test. The rest of you, i want to see note taking and who's setting up the Lazon? It better be ready by the time we get to it," He barked out orders, making hte others scuttle to find things to do. As he waited for the substance to travel through Kai's body, he checked out other needles. Most likely getting enjoyment out of finding the most painful one.
