Bang....

It wasn't long for the massive bird to lift off and be out of sight of the girl; quickly soaring so high up that even if you where looking for it the creature as well as the boy on top of it would be hidden. It was no wonder that he would be able to make it to the village hidden in the stone so quickly with that speed.

I'm one Nightmare...
~*Yuzuki*~

Yuzuki finished reading the pages of the book for the wind version of the Gunshot jutsu, it was an interesting little jutsu, something that would more than likely come in handy in whatever upcoming missions that her new allies were going to be putting her on. Yuzuki jumped down from the tree and landed on her feet with a flourish, she closed her eyes and raised her hands, making the sign of the Tiger. She gather chakra in the brachial tube just like she did with the other wind based jutsu that she taught herself, she kneaded and manipulated the chakra at that point, it was a little like kneading dough, but with energy, and far more tricky. At first she thought that she might be getting it, but she realized that she was packing the chakra too tightly than what the book said for her to do. It need to be a balanced and shaped perfectly or the wind shot wouldn’t be accurate nor would it be as destructive. It was just like a throwing senbon, if it was off balance a lot of the forward energy would be lost and the needle would loose the majority of its destructive capabilities. Yuzuki thought more about how the shape of it should add up, in the book there was a diagram of the shape that the bullet of air should look like. She paused for a moment and went back over to her book, she flipped through the pages until she found what she wanted and then studied the shape. It wasn’t a shape that she was prone to seeing everyday, but it looked simple enough. Yuzuki moulded the chakra till it was the same shape as in the books diagram and then released it. She watched with a frown as the chakra in the bullet quickly unravelled itself and left nothing but a ghost of a breeze that did little but rattle some leaves loose. Her eyes closed and she brought up her hands again and concentrated, once again attempting to mould the chakra into what she was wanting, this time packing it brutally tight she didn’t want it to unravel again like it did before. She took a deep breath to mix the wind in and forced the bullet out, this time the bullet didn’t even make it to the tree, instead it crashed violently into the earth and took a huge dent out of the ground not far in front of her. Learning point number 2; if pack too tightly the bullet becomes too heavy to travel very far. Great for dropping on someone’s head, not so great for a moving target… or a distant one for that matter. This… was going to take some more tinkering to get what she wanted. Yuzuki sighed and tried again, moulding chakra into the shape of once more, but this time binding it about in the middle of what she had done it before, it was knotted more… firmly than before but not so tight that it would be weighed down in the process.

Yuzuki was starting to get the hang of this, the bullet did exactly what it was suppose to, it tore through the tree leaving a gaping hole in its wake, however, this was just one half of the jutsu that she needed to learn in order to be able to know it fully. The book stated that one could make multiple bullets, but they needed to be from the same gathering of chakra, if she did this multiple times with the same jutsu, it would be a waste of time and chakra. Yuzuki once again gathered her chakra into the brachial tube and kneaded it together, she then divided it in half, it was actually trickier than it seemed, by dividing them as such, the threads needed to be reworked slightly to make the bullets complete once more. She concentrated, this was a little more time consuming that what it should be, with her still relatively unfamiliar with the kneading process and all. Eventually she got the pair to about where she wanted it and then pushed them out, the target tree took the impacts, creating a spray of woodchips and bark shrapnel. The bullets themselves weren’t as accurate as the original single one. She closed her eyes and gathered and moulded as before, this time forcing herself to go faster and create more accurate bullets. When she unleashed with this batch, the evidence in the tree was apparent that they were starting to unravel but the time they got to the tree, meaning that she wasn’t kneading the chakra properly. She gathered more and pulled it into two, making them tighter and more stable than she did the previous ones. When she performed the jutsu everything seemed right on the nose this time. Granted, there was still things that needed to be perfected, but that was only going to get better with time. She pulled back and tried again, gathering the chakra she needed into the place that she previously gathered it, she tried to make more of the bullets, she divided the kneading of chakra into three as evenly as she could. She spun and manipulated the chakra into the shape, weaving the chakra firmly where it should be in order to keep them together. Once more she unleashed her barrage of wind bullets. Yuzuki noted the obvious, that the more that the bullet was divided the less damage it did. Yuzuki pulled back and once again built her chakra up trying to divide it into four bullets this time, she was having trouble now, with her level of chakra control it didn’t look like she was going to be able to actually be able to maintain the chakra weaving for four just yet, the experiment lead to the bullet hitting the tree and evaporating upon impact, leaving nothing to mark the tree with. That would be a future project for her to work on. Though right now she was pleased with her number of Wind bullets.

I'm one Nightmare...
~*Yuzuki*~

The wind snake technique was going to be a little more interesting to try and learn. She pulled out her fans and took an elegant dance-like position. She closed her eyes and concentrated, she liked this to the sickle weasel technique that she learned about a month ago, started by creating the gusts of wind and took control of them with her chakra flow that she extended into it. She started by recreating the sickle weasel jutsu itself and then started to play with the foundations of the chakra to shape and bend it to the description within the book. She tried to pull and push her little tornado to get what she wanted but it only ended in failure, eventually the windstorm died of its own accord and she was left with a puzzled expression, how was she going to get around this. She was hoping that this would be obtainable by playing with an already existing, and similar jutsu, but this wasn’t the case at all. She needed a different kind of control with this Jutsu, she pulled her fans back and tried again. She tried to interlock and weave more chakra ribbons into the wind as quickly as she could, she figured that if she wanted more control, she would have to put more chakra into the mix in order to restrain and bend it to her will. However, for someone like her this wasn’t an easy task, funny, how she could shape chakra in the heat of battle and not outside of it. Survival she supposed. Regardless, she continued to fiddle and toy with the chakra inside the wind. It was starting to fall into a rhythm for her again: Try, fail, Try, fail. It was a rather huge pain in her a**. Especially when nobody was here to help her discover what she was doing wrong. She pondered for a moment and then opened her eyes, maybe if she fused two of her chakra laced whirlwinds at the same time she could get the necessary amount of control into the jutsu she was after. It was worth a try, she created two winds with her fans, one in a clockwise rotation and the other in a counter clockwise spin. The winds were smaller but the chakra build up was the same in each of them as the regular sickle weasel technique. She used the chakra to pull them closer together till they collided. Yuzuki struggled from a moment to weave and combine both of the chakra strings. To make things even more complicated the wind was dependent on the chakra that she was trying to bring together and fuse. Yuzuki concentrated and continued to pull and push the two twisters together, she managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat when she finally managed to discover a way to do this from the tinkering that she was doing. With her chakra woven together the winds were manipulated and amplified back up to the force that it was meant to be. She moulded the top of the tornado that she created into a dragons face, that way she could control the bend of the funnel and not have to worry about wasting needless wind, and thus its power, nor would she have to worry about the rotating winds interfering with what she planned.

With the trickiest part out of the way, now she figure out what to do with the windy behemoth. Yuzuki looked over her shoulder to read what it did exactly, then she looked over at what she created with a rather disbelieving gaze. This was suppose to be something to catch an opponent off guard with?? Then again, it wasn’t as though there was much noise to it. The jutsu itself seemed to be based more on defence the offence. However, in order to do that one needed to control the beast at the end of the chain. Yuzuki used the chakra to try and influence the movement of the Wind Dragon that she created. It was as hard to control as it looked. She tried to use just the chakra it possessed, not really wanting to resort to using more chakra to control when it wasn’t necessary. She got a lot of resistance with her creation, it was like trying to control one of those snake toys with all the joints, if one pulled it in one direction too much it would jerk and go way the hell over to where it wasn’t meant to go. Pull it too loosely though, and it didn’t respond at all, to further complicate things for her, some ways it moved more naturally than others, the former needed a little nudge to get it there, the later needed more presence and force to get it to bend. Yuzuki cursed and swore in a rather un-lady like fashion, even though it didn’t help what she was trying to accomplish it made her feel a little better to get that building up frustration out. Yuzuki’s handling slowly evolved from none existent, to crude and then eventually she got a pretty good handle of it, the little quirks and ticks of the moments were starting to become familiar to her. She dismissed the creature and tried again with putting it together and controlling it, with the two whirlwind method, she fused the creation with the trick she used before and it came together with relative ease. Controlling it was welcomingly the same as the last one, for a moment Yuzuki was worried that each beast had their own quirks because of the different winds that created them, the wind being a fickle mistress that it was. Yuzuki continued to play with her creation, getting better at its control and thus the speed of its reactions. She could use this if it was out to block oncoming weapons. Yuzuki manipulated the monstrosity to rear back and strike out at the world around it. The destructive power left something to the imagination, but it could still serve a purpose to her if she had to use it that way. It would be more an intimidation tactic than anything. But one that was only bluffing slightly.

I'm one Nightmare...
~*Yuzuki*~

Yuzuki was resting in the tree and reading through the book that the mysterious ninja gave her, her right leg dangled with a slight sway to it while she enjoyed the sunshine and the actual rest she was being forced to take. She could probably try learning a new taijutsu... but she really didn't seem to have the interest nor the props to do it. If she had a set of bladed fans or that 'scorpion tail' weapon she thought up a long time ago then she would definatly spend some time practicing that. But seeing as she didn't; she couldn't. Not too many tears shed on that one though, it was a rather nice day and lounging in the tree was a lot more relaxing than what she originally thought. Last night she watched the stars for the first time in forever. It was kind of nice, though she wondered if she had been robbed from that mysterious stranger? Wouldn't surprise her, hell, the first time in a long time she trusted someone and they took off with something would teach her a good lesson after all. Flipping the page Yuzuki scanned the next page in line. She wondered if she could train in another element, her focus was on the twisting of reality to her whim, so she really didn't pay that much attention to the elements, she was told that her main element was wind, so she exercised it, they could have told her that she had the Purple Elephant chakra nature and it probably would have made about as much of a difference. But now that she actually had five under her belt, she was curious about other elements, even if she couldn't train them for herself, being a genjutsu type.

Yuzuki sighed and let the book fall over her face, she closed her eyes and thought for a moment, what if she could learn another element? Which would she choose? They all looked good, Lightning and fire seemed to be more offensive, while the ground was more defensive. Water seemed to her like a balance between the two... granted this was only based on basic to lower chuunin ranked jutsu. The higher that they went, maybe the more balanced they all became? It was hard to make a choice, she liked earth, there were a number of ambush based jutsu that would come in handy, then there was the fire and the lightning based, more offensive styles. She could always use more offensive jutsu in her arsanel. Fire might be a good choice, especially if she could enhance its effects with her wind style. Hmmm... so many choices to think about and so much future to decide and learn. One could only think too far ahead without their head spinning. Yuzuki would decide later. Maybe when she got together with her new... allies, then she could better decide and have someone show her the basics of a new element. Yuzuki lowered the book from her eyes and let the odd smell of the pages fill her nose. She lazily opened her bi-coloured eyes and looked around. It was quiet, hard to believe that something was going to happen to the place not too far away. Still, not her village and certainly not her problem.

Bang....

Just as the sun started to rise the next morning the large clay bird landed a few yards from Yuzuki; the Boy sitting down on the creatures back. "So learn anything while I was gone?" He asked looking over at Yuzuki as he sat there; the large pot no longer with him; showing that he had in fact sold all the Herbs that he had taken from the girl. Without waiting any longer the boy took out a small bag that had money in it; and tossed it to the girl.

Yuzuki opened her other eye and sat up upon hearing the landing bird, she looked down and caught the bag and opened it up and did a quick count, taking her 10% of the earnings she divided that ten percent in half and then offered it to the Mysterious ninja. It wouldn't hurt her feelings if he didn't take it, more money to satisfy her greed.
"Yeah, I learned the Wind Snake and the Wind bullets, the other three I already knew. Thanks for loaning it to me, need it back?" Yuzuki wouldn't mind keeping it, she was sure it would help her make a choice if she ever got to choose a new element to work with. Yuzuki hopped down from the tree and looked at the mysterious ninja that hadn't actually betrayed her trust. Honour among those who had none she assumed.
"May I ask you something before we part ways? Seeing as asking for your name wouldn't do me any good, I want to know why you chose me to approach? There are probably dozens of bitter jounin and chuunin whom you could have chosen out of the land of Lightning... let alone everywhere else, so what drew you to me specificially?"

The boy shook his head slightly as Yuzuki offered him the money. "I don't need it" He said still looking at the girl before tilting his head slightly as she asked him why he had come to her and not to another Jounin. "Most of the other Ninja from the Cloud's are very loyal to the village; and the cloud was one of the last Village's that I don't already have someone from; with me" He said before nodding slightly. "That and you don't mind getting your hands dirty in order to get things done; and that might come in handy"

'..already have ninja from the rest of the villages? I wonder what sort of gangle this chap belongs too, well, I guess I'll learn soon enough.' Yuzuki placed her share of the money in her pocket and placed the money out of sight in one of her pouches before securing it. She couldn't help but smirk a little at his comments about the situation. "Well, I'll count myself lucky that you want me for your collection, despite my rank. Though for that task that your going to give me later on, I would appreciate it if you did keep my rank in mind. I'd rather you didn't ask me the impossible. It would be a pity if I couldn't accomplish it." Indeed, she was becoming more intrigued by this group and she didn't know a damn thing about it. Hopefully this task was within her scope of abilities when it came to her. Yuzuki turned slighty as though she was about to leave, she had a couple of days travel before to go, and she was sure that her team mates were going to be pissed that they didn't get to come along with her. "I think I perfer to get my hands dirty, it makes me feel like I actually accomplish something at times. Rather than just being used as an instroment for a man who has all the power in the village, and no idea how to properly use it. I think I should head back to the village now. The less time I waste the better. I hope that this... partnership you seek works out well for both of us. You seem to be a man who has his mind on his goals."

The boy shrugged slightly in reply to what Yuzuki said. "It shouldn't be to hard for you to do, If it wasn't for the fact that Every Jounin knows what I look like in the village; I would just do it myself; but that would be to much of a hassle" The Ninja said before the bird lifted up off the ground. "It shouldn't be any time soon so no need to worry" He said as the bird launched into the sky.

I'm one Nightmare...
~*Yuzuki*~

Yuzuki raised her hand as a fairwell to the first person in a long time that hadn't betrayed her, or tried to change her in order to make her fit into their ideal. She was wanted for her, her skills and that steel that she wrapped around her black withered heart was desired by someone. She wasn't about to let him down, it made going back to the Land of Lightning and the Village hidden in the clouds all the more harder to do. She felt herself get bitter about the idea but had no other choice than to do as she was instructed until she was summoned by this orginization. Yuzuki started to go through the trees, up in the tree tops so that she didn't attract too much attention to herself and going into the stealth mode that she taught herself in order to use the Silent Kill. She ghosted along using the breeze to further mask her movements. She wasn't sure what to expect from the Raikage when she got back, they were supposed to do this as a group and she was a lonewolf again. He was probably going to scream her ears off and ask her why she didn't wait for the rest of her team. Feh, oh well, what was she going to do? She couldn't wait for them forever and the mission was obviously still on. She was fully paying attention to her surroundings, the weight of the money on her person seemed to make every little creak and groan seem like a snapping of a bush or a hacking cough from a potential ambush. Paranioa... it was a survival instict alright, best be careful of those insects and feild mice, they are all plotting to take you down when you least expect it. Yuzuki was going to be on pins and needles for the remaining two or three days that she was needing to get back to the old man and then the village. She was sure that he was going to be surprised to see her back so soon, she wasn't sure how to explain it to him how she made up for the time. Though she could probably just say things went really smoothly and she put a rush on it, that would make sense and explain the time. She continued to ghost as the best possible speed that she could, she didn't really want to return to the Village yet, though those hotsprings were going to feel nice after here back to back work and the anxiousness that she was feeling inbetween them.

I'm one Nightmare...
~*Yuzuki*~

Yuzuki continued to glide back towards the old man and the village, she was starting to become a little anxious to get home and finish her mission. Adrenaline was starting to pump in her body as she got closer to home, she was about... two days at the most, she thought. Give or take a few hours. She would need to rest obviously, but as long was she found a cave or a tall tree that she could duck into and hide herself away she'd be okay. As long as she didn't panic or take things so fast that she became sloppy she should be alright. Haste makes waste in most cases, unless you have a large amount of spice on your back and its starting to go south. Then you should be as quick as you can. But that part of the mission was over and now the seemingly more dangerous part, the return home. It wasn't a huge mystery that most of the deadier ambushes happened going back home, ninja started to relax, especially within that last mile of home, and that was when the bad stuff happened.
Maybe she should think of something else, she was starting to work up her paranoia and freak herself out again...
What should she do with that money? Maybe get something new for her wardobe, a cloak might be a decent idea. It would keep her warm, mysterious and it could hide her handsigns when she was using a jutsu. That seemed like a decent investment. It could also hide her shape in the shadows, fashionable and functional! With that decided, all that was left to do was to actually get to the village... and drop the old mans money off. She woundered what would happen to the Village hidden in the Leaves? She also wondered if that group that the mysterious ninja belonged to was behind it? Probably not, seeing as if it was, she might have been welcomed to join them in the conflict. Not that it mattered too much, but still, curiousity was something of possessor of the thinking. Yuzuki paused for a moment to catch her breath and drink some water, she didn't linger too long in the tree tops before taking off again and continued to ghost herself home as best she could. Her eyes continued to scan the scenery around her as she went. Now that she was more focused again she was better paying attention to her surroundings.

At last, Yuzuki got within reach of the house. That was a thankfully uneventful trip as far as conflict was concerned. She also managed to find someone who appreciated the fine arts of ruthless tactics and the will to see the whole world burnt to ashes to fulfill ones goals. She was interested what this group was about, and what she could get out of it towards her goals. She bounded gracefully with the bag of the old mans money in her hands. Yuzuki exhailed slowly at the sight of the house that her final goal, she was almost there. She couldn't wait to get this mission home... and chew on the backsides of her supposide team mates. She slowed her pace when she got to the plowed feild and took the dirt road that lead to the old mans house. With the amount that he got for the spices, he could probably upgrade his house and keep himself feed throughout this winter and the next.
Yuzuki finally climbed the stair with the bag of money in her hand, with her other one, she knocked on the door and waited for an answered. If he wasn't there she would have to think of something else, maybe she would bring it back to the village and leave it with the Raikage and explain the situation to him. He could send one or both of her team mates to deliver it.

As Yuzuki knocked on the door the old man made his way to the door and pulled it open; before looking up at Yuzuki. "Welcome back Yuzuki; how did it go?" He asked with a smile to the girl; not having noticed the money that she was holding in her hand. The old man continued to look up at the girl as he asked this. She had been gone for a while so he had no idea how the trip had gone after all it took quite a while to get all the way to the leaf village.

"The trip was actually really uneventful, I was surprised that I didn't draw any attention to myself on the way there or back. It saved me a lot of time not having to fend off bandits or rogue shinobi who were after it. I think you did pretty good for yourself too. It sold pretty quickly at the Leaf Market." Yuzuki replied while looking at the old man with a soft expression on her face, lying smoothly... well not really lying, it did go really smoothly, though she didn't sell it and it wasn't in the Leaf village. Though the old man didn't need to know it. She held out the conceiled amount of money to the old man. "The written request that you gave to me has already been taken into account as well. Thank you very much for that."
Yuzuki wondered what would have happened if the old man tagged along? He probably wouldn't have cared so much that another took his harvest elsewhere and sold it, she was sure that he would be happy with the amount that he got for it. She was no marketeer but had a feeling that he got a good price for it concidering that it sold so quickly.

The old man nodded slightly towards Yuzuki "Well thats a good thing; I was hoping that you wouldn't need to fight anyone in order to help me; I would hate if you would get hurt" He said smiling slightly to the girl; taking the money from her as she offered it to her. "Also that was the least I could do; after all its not like you where going to get payed for this mission; so that counts as your pay" He said happily to the girl.
