Amy looked in wonder at Kyla's tea cup, which had a flower in it. A blooming flower, at that. She made no comment on it, but was pretty impressed by it. A flower that bloomed in hot water. How cool is that?
She followed along behind Kyla, holding a tea cup of her own. It had pretty yellow flowers painted on the sides, and looked like an older cup. Choosing it had been an Indiana Jones moment. She had wondered around the shop, looking at all the pretty cups, and finally noticed it behind several others. The 'neglected' tea cup. The old one nobody wanted. She could have chosen another one, a prettier and newer one, but her fandom played itself out.
INDIANA JONES SPOILER XD: There was a scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, near the very end, that forced Indiana to make a choice. He needed to choose a cup, a goblet, to drink from, and it had to be the Holy Grail, or his eyes would sink back into his sockets and his skin would fall off. He would basically age at a very rapid pace until there was nothing left but bones. No pressure, huh? It turned out, that of all the cups in the place, it was the oldest and least appealing one that was the Grail. The simple cup. Why would the Holy Grail be made of gold? Jesus was a carpenter. END SPOILER
And so, with that influencing her, she chose the plain cup. She sipped out of it quite contentedly.
"I know the answer to that one," she said. "Kyle is part of another group of Earthlings," it felt weird calling herself that. We are Earthlings. We come in peace. Mental eye roll, "Seymour mentioned something about Kyle's summon being Ultima when that one ice guy attacked us. Or at least, I'm pretty sure that's what he said... Anyway, Kyle and the other group are off doing... something else. Some other quest of some sort." She stopped, and set her tea down. Her eyebrows were creased. "We really don't know a lot, do we? I mean, I know we're new, but gosh. Seriously. We ought to have at least a clue. I don't know what's going on, and I've been running around on this quest an entire day. What am I doing? Why am I doing this? Why did no one bother to fill me in? What's the other group doing? Why did we even split up?"

James couldn't help but cringe outwardly at Louis' remarks regarding their loss in the battle. In particular his targeting primarily Dawn. He was right that they hadn't even thought of any kind of plan, but truly they had been at a disadvantage from the start. Kyle and Jenny were both even more experienced in combat then he was. Not to mention the fact that though Dawn had some ranged capabilities she was mostly a melee fighter while James was solely ranged.
'That's why I'm glad I have you. You're my melee support.'
"Then why didn't you summon me?"
'I wanted to practice without using you... I need to push my limits and I know I shouldn't always rely on you.'
"Hmph... Fair enough."
The corsair couldn't tell if that was a sign of approval or disapproval from the Lunar Wolf, the reply had almost sounded disappointed, if not even agitated. His attention soon fell away from his own thoughts though as the others were talking about going to get food, Dawn had already left before he could even get a reply in.
"I'm alright, I want to keep practicing for awhile longer. See you guys later."
Working the freight crew, the corsair really had a hard time telling when he was hungry. He usually had to work for 5 hours from 4 A.M to 9 A.M before he could get something from the store for lunch so even if he was hungry he had gotten used to tuning out the feeling. If someone else decided to stay he wouldn't mind the company, but if not he would practice on his own.

The mage looked at Dawn's hasty exit and even though the tessen wielder was smiling broadly, Jenny couldn't mistake the dip in Dawn's heartsong. Jenny fidgeted with the hem of her outfit and contemplated chasing after her.
But what... would I say?
"You could say, don't listen to that b*****d?"
"That's helpful." Jenny replied sarcastically. James was staying in the training car and she had originally come with him to practice on things. But now she was torn between what to do. "Sorry James! I'll practice with you a little later... I'm... I'm going to go check on something!" The flutist hastily shouted, probably a little louder than she expected but she was already out the door and in direct collision with Zee and her bowl of sweets. She watched various lollies and bon-bons spill over the side of the bowl and Jenny unthinkingly felt a song slide into place, causing the candies to become suspended in midair.
"I'm so sorry Zee," Jenny said, flustered as she reached out to grab a lollipop to put back into the bowl. Her hand stopped right as her fingers curled around the stem and she looked back to the ninja. "Are you alright Zee?"

"Hey, wait!" Sora shouted, immediately jumping on Destati's back and nudging her to speed up; he'd had an unfair advantage! Pah. How like Riku. Regardless, the Keyblader rushed after Joe, and back to the train.

With the Stable Car's door still open, the two birds came rushing in, skidding to a halt; due to Joe's advantage (and, as far as Sora concerned, he probably cheated and used wind stuff), the bo-wielder had beaten the Keyblade wielder in the race, resulting in Sora's loud groan before jumping off Destati next to Zeba and Jenny, whom he greeted with a light wave while patting Destati and muttering that he'd meet her by her stable.
"What'd we miss?" he asked, turning to face the two. He could see some floating candy, and decided to grab a jawbreaker, lightheartedly tossing it into his mouth.

Joe was laughing as he won the little race. Sure, he 'cheated' by starting early, but hey, he still won. And didn't skid into Zeba and Jenna. Two points for himself.
Hopping off of Izza, the bird wandered off to her stable while Joseph smiled and waved at the two girls. "Hey, wassup? Besides the floating candy, of course...why is the candy flo-nevermind." Better to not ask and just accept it than try to figure out the mechanics of 'flying candy'.

Kichi wasn't in the mood for actual tea. He felt too...restless. So he continued browsing their tea sets, until he found one he thought Alan would like. It had some intricate designs on the sides of the pot, circling around a Kanji he didn't recognize. Prolly cause it was in old style chinese, but either way, he figured Alan would like it, so he called him over to confirm.
"Hey Alan! I think I found a tea set you'll like! If you want it, we could get it for you!"

"Fine."
Was the only reply James had for Jenny as she called out to him saying she would be back later. He wouldn't hold her to it unless she wanted to though. Though there was a slight edge of disappointment in his voice as the car went quiet as the others all left. Leaving the corsair standing alone in the middle of the training car as he felt the time compression magic kick back into effect, almost a strange pressurizing effect for lack of a better way to describe it.
"10 Targets, Varying ranges."
James called out as the room immediately responded to his command by summoning 10 targets, some of them close up, others clear at the other end of the car. The corsair then turned down range and raised his hexagun, aiming at one of the targets and pulling the trigger the loud bang audible throughout the car, a look of great intensity on his face as he focused on the task at hand his mind focusing on what all had occurred since they had come to Halloween Town.
'They will pay for all that they have done...'

"Haha, yeah yeah, I'm fine," she laughed, readjusting her attire after her small.... collision. Grinning at Jen, the ninja stepped aside to leave some room for people to move in and out of the carriage (she hated it when people stood in doorways... stupid idiots...). Saluting Sora, Joe, and the other familiar faces, Zeba scooped up the remaining floating goodies and dropped them back into the bowl. "Soooo..... Training going alright? Did ya learn some cool super-speshaal-aweshome shparkly-exploshively moveshh?" she asked, popping a floating toffee into the side of her mouth as she spoke.

Jenny smiled again, apologetically before turning to smile at Sora and Joe. Right, candy shouldn't be floating but before Jenny could gather any more of the pieces, Zeba had managed to ninja all the candy back into the bowl. She was still a little worried, Zee's heartsong had teetered but if she said she was fine, the flutist didn't want to pry. It would just be an invasion of privacy at that point.
"Not too much I don't think," Jenny responded to Sora before smiling sheepishly to Zeba, "no, nothing super cool and special... I wish though." Jenny shrugged lightly before gesturing to Zeba's bowl of candy, a smile playing on her face, "can you even eat that all?"

"I could eat it thrice over," she winked, flashing the flutist a cheeky grin. "Buuuuuuuuuuut I brought it here 'cause I thought you guys could use the glucose. 'ere, 'ave summore," she offered, lifting the bowl out towards the smelly, sweaty lot of them. Though their smelly, sweaty selves were masked by the smelly, fluffy chocobos. Mmmmm, animal manure. Lovely.

Alan was deeply engrossed in his conversation with Riku and Amy when Jon called him over. He looked rapidly back and forth between his co-conversationalists and old friend for about a second, as if weighing the options as to where he should commit his attention. Finally, he stood, nodding politely to Riku and Amy. "Uh, excuse me for a second."
Alan walked over to were Jon was, arms held behind his back. He kneeled down to get a better look at the pot, which was very classically oriental and beautiful. However, it suddenly struck him that he couldn't read what was written on the pot. Great. Jon probably thinks I can read this. Um . . . He squinted for a few seconds before finally asking, "Um, what does that kanji say?"

"And why do Alan and Kichi-Jon know each other?" Amy continued as Alan left, the flow of that question not being interrupted by Alan excusing himself. The 'why' of that question should have been a 'how', grammatically speaking, but came out the way it did because the majority of her previous questions had started with 'why'. It was unclear who she was speaking to.
John and Kyle (II) were looking at the tea cups together, having yet to decide on what ones they wanted. It was an interesting thing, this getting to pick your own tea cup, in addition to the tea you put in it. Kind of cool. Like an extra hook to inspire the customers to choose this tea shop over others. It was interesting to notice what kinds of cups were chosen– and Amy did notice. It was just the kind of thing that would stick in her head, too.

"So he is not natural, I'm guessing? If he is a Replica, meaning a copy, he would have a small ray of light still. But regardless, he's more powerful than I will ever be since he is full of dark energy and I will still have a shred of light..." Nick mumbled, thinking about possible actions if dealing with the Replicas.
He knew that he would be spying on the group of Earthlings would no doubt result in a confrontation of the Replicas. Basic logic, really. Spying on Earthlings, Replicas are allies, become an 'Earthling', become enemies with Replicas, have to fight the Replicas. In the end, Nick realized, he was going to have to fight them...And maybe even destroy one.
"...It will be interesting to battle with them, Seymour." Nick sighed, swinging his hands around aimlessly. The Lanista was bored; entertainment came easily in the form of the simple things, he found, especially when it requires little action on your part to enjoy fully.

"Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt you." Kichi quickly said as Alan arrived. He watched Alan look at the tea pot, before finally hearing his question. "Ahaha...Not sure myself. As I should have expected, it's old chinese, so its got the really extra complex Kanji, and it doesn't look like anything I know either. But I figured the designs were cool enough, and they wouldn't sell it to actual Chinese people if it had something like the Kanji for 'overpriced' on it or anything." He let out a small laugh. "Normally I'd be against buying it if I didn't know what it meant, as you know, but all considered, I think it'll be safe. Anyways, if you want it, I'll go buy it, and you can head back and talk more."

"Thanks," Sora responded lightly, smiling as he took a few more jawbreakers. Luckily for the lot of them, their magic clothes kept them clean, removing any sort of smell from the sweat they'd produced. Still, though, as 'refreshed' as the clothes made them feel.
"I think I'm gonna take a shower and go to bed. The sun may just be setting, but it's been a really, really long day," Sora said, pocketing the candy before beginning to head toward the Sleeping Car, which had bathrooms on either end. "Hopefully we'll have a new destination by then."
