MandarinRin giggled under her breath at the thought of Raven trying to strip down in the middle of the courtyard. She was an empath. It was difficult for her not to stray into Raven's thoughts and emotions, especially considering how close they'd grown. Even Luna and Suki, who had once argued with her at every turn... Her connection with Raven had somehow softened their hatred. They got along now. The Gardevoir held Raven's hand in hers, and she smiled. "It's a good thing I'm used to your lack of clothing at this point..." She murmured under her breath.

~Raven ~Aidan & Nadia
"You're no fun..." Raven grumbled out, his annoying but cute timidity still getting in the way of starting up light conversation at a moment like this which well needed it, but at least it seemed this time he was off the hook. Suddenly, a pair of young Riolu burst through the set of large doors which the couple had just entered through themselves, one moving at a fairly concerning speed while the other chased not far after. You~ Can't~ Catch~ Me~ "Nadi! Please! Slow Do-..." The following one seemed to be trying to put some restraints on the situation while the more energetic of the two mockingly sung in response. Sadly though the male's warning was too late and within moments Nadia was stopped in her tracks from her once breakneck speeds, having just slammed into the back of Rin's dress. At least her accidental target was a fortunate one and the fabric took most of the blow on both ends, but none the less the Riolu was quite startled. It seemed this was their first time allowed out on their own, but it was obvious which one was in charge of watching over the other still. "I'm so sorry, she wasn't watching where she was going...again..." The male, quickly on the scene of the crime, quickly apologized with a bot in place of his sister.

MandarinRin, unsurprised, having long before seen the collision coming, smiled down at the young pair. "It's fine, little ones~" She assured them quietly, suddenly very much reminded of Raven. His innocent, endearing clumsiness. His tendency to worry and apologize at everything... She smiled at the thought of younger Raven's.

~Raven ~Aidan & Nadia
"Hi! I'm Nadia! What's your name?!" The younger of the Riolus was back on her feet with a great big smile within moments as it seemed her accident wasn't that much of a problem. "Nyeh! I don't think they look like they need any company, Nadi..." Her brother was quickly at her side tugging at her arm worriedly. It seemed obvious to Aidan that there was a nice young couple before him trying to have an afternoon out an his sister was simply being a nuisance. Raven agreed with the male's thoughts on the whole topic but figured it best not to say anything on the topic until Rin reacted once again. She had much better social skills after all.

MandarinMandarin giggled, crouching down to greet Nadia at eye level. "I'm Rin; it's nice to meet you." She replied, shaking the young Pokemon's paw. Glancing over at the other Riolu, whom she assumed to be Nadia's brother, she smiled. "It's not a problem; it's always nice to meet new people." She assured him. How strangely like Raven he was. She felt her heart soften at the thought. Straightening up again, she couldn't help but wonder if Raven's children would be anything like the pair beside them... No, those weren't thoughts to think! She hoped he hadn't caught that thought.

~Raven ~Aidan & Nadia
Aidan quickly stepped back as he was dismissed from the situation. Though as much as he was being compared to Raven, unlike the much bigger Lucario he really did like the company of others. Never did he have the courage or means of going about meeting new people without his sister though. For the moment he was just immensely happy to sit back and feed off of her own glee which was radiating like a wildfire. Meanwhile, as Rin's thoughts strayed, it wasn't hard at all for the canine next to her to pick up clearly on her exact mental contemplations. Giving a chuckle at all he had 'heard', at least this gave the Lucario a perfect opportunity to try something he figured hypothetically should work without flaw. "Our kids would be much cuter~" He noted, though not speaking out loud as he was normally used to; instead he simply thought the message in his head to see if he was able to telepathically communicate with Rin. Whatever happened at least it was worth the try. Nadia gave an ear to ear smile at the Garvevior's response, having absolutely no problem with hastening on the conversation as if everything had to be rushed. "Your dress is so pretty!" She gawked, tempted to reach out an touch it though the high-end air of it it gave off stopped her. Even though moments ago she practically plowed into it, now the flowing fabric was just simply admirable and far more worthy in the hands of the Psychic type.

MandarinRin blushed deeply, easily catching onto Raven's train of thought, but didn't answer, her mind buzzing with thoughts. She smiled at Nadia, catching the glint of awe in her eyes. "It is beautiful, isn't it?" She sighed happily, her voice soft as she glanced at Raven. "My mate made it for me." She'd never used the word before; not when she was talking about herself. But somehow... it seemed to fit.

Raven, who was idly standing by all this time looked a tad disappointed when it seemed his mental means of communication didn't make their way through. This sorrow was quickly replaced when every last corner of his mind was filled with the trouble of processing the word 'mate'. "But we hadn't...and the....nyeeeeeeh....." The word was like a beehive was shoved into his head yet even through this agony he remained without word to the conversation, for now simply trying to regain his composure. "Uhmm, you better not call him that just yet. Any dude who made something like that has to be ga-" "Well, best we be going now. Our team is probably worried about us" Aidan saved the day with a hand over his sister's mouth before dragging her off of the scene and back towards their team room. Sometimes she didn't have much of a filter that could save her from ruining a conversation like she may have just did now.

MandarinRin frowned slightly at the younger girl's words, but the amount of distress radiating from deep within Raven's mind worried her more. She felt a stab of hurt as she looked at him, her crimson eyes clouded with confusion. "Y-you don't want to be thought of like that, do you... I... I should've asked..." She murmured sadly, turning away, gripping her slender arms tightly in her fingers. "I j-just assumed.... I thought you wanted us to be that close..." She turned her head back to look at him, looking hurt and ashamed. "How could you... You're leading me on with thoughts of having children together, but you turn on me the moment I name you as my partner! How could you do this to me?!" She snapped at him, here eyes brimming with tears. She felt used; like she'd been thrown around like a ragdoll. A puppet on strings, tricked into dancing something she wasn't a part of...

The panic worsened greatly in Raven's mind as his thoughts seemed to have been picked up as offensive. He listened fully through Rin's rant without interruption or argument, each word breaking him down more to the point where he was nearly in tears like her. "Rin, it's not like that." He quickly rebutted once he felt it appropriate for him to speak. "Y-you just shocked me a bit is all... I know it's not what you want so I've been patiently respecting your decision. Going around and saying something like that startled me. I mean, I would love pups but I understand that's not what you want..." He rambled off, head slowly retreating more and more downward in shame as he spoke to the Gardevoir.

MandarinRin winced, flinching back from Raven like she'd been struck. "Not what I want? Raven, you never asked! Not being ready and not wanting something are entirely different things!" She retorted, shaking with mixed emotions. She relaxed slightly, as he continued to speak, and she closed her eyes, feeling embarrassed and ashamed to have snapped at him like that. "I said it because I thought you'd be happy... I want to mean that much to you, Raven... Yes, I want children, but if you think that's all I'm talking about, then you're entirely missing the point!" She forced back the desperation that was creeping into her voice, glancing up into Raven's eyes as she wiped the tears from her face. "Being mates doesn't mean anything! It's the feelings behind it that are important!" She threw her arms up in the air in frustration. "I can't explain something that doesn't have words to explain it with! It's an emotional thing... not a physical thing..."

Raven's head slowly crept up to its regular position as the conversation lost some of its tension. He tried his best to understand what she was attempting to get through his dense head; he only really comprehending the jest of it once the last sentence was said. "Well...If that's the case I'm your mate. I'm whatever you want me to be. A title is a title, as long as I'm yours nothing else matters." He spoke softly, moving in to embrace her soothingly after she seemed to be getting herself worked up again. Two empaths unable to fully explain their emotions for each other; how redundant.

MandarinRin stiffened slightly as he pulled her close. Then, as his familiar touch hit home, she wrapped her arms around his waist, and she buried her face in his fur, stressed and worked up. She sighed, her half-lidded eyes staring into space as she focused on trying to relax again. "I'm sorry, Raven..." She murmured softly to him, reaching out with her mind once more to probe cautiously around his emotions. "...But I'm glad we're together." Fighting scared her. She was so flighty; every little disagreement had her flustered, like her world was collapsing around her. And it wasn't. "I wouldn't have survived this long without you; I need to trust in that more, and stop jumping at shadows."

"It's not your fault." Raven noted reassuringly; backing out of their embrace while letting his paws slowly trace down her arms until they came to rest intertwined with her fragile hands. "It's just who you are... I can deal with a little panic every once in awhile as long as you still put up with my quirks." He concluded with a smile, showing he was in the least disappointed at all of this. From now on though he just had to watch so not to fuel any more fires like he did now.

MandarinRin smiled, and stretched up onto tip-toe, kissing Raven lightly on the lips. "There's nothing to put up with; I love your quirks." She squeezed Raven's hands lightly in her own. She wanted children as much as the next girl, but... It would have to wait. For now, she was happy with just being Raven's girlfriend.
