Mendez watched the Pelicans roar to life and fly away. He turned and clicked on his COM. "Marines! New orders from Command! Move East! I repeat, Move East to Fortification Alpha!" He himself turned to the other officers, Gave a quick salute, and Jogged off to where his marines stood waiting. "Well, what are you waiting for, An invitation from the covenant? MOVE!" The marines jogged off with Mendez and were quickly lost to sight.

The marines quickly reached the Reinforced position and Mendez turned. "Marines, get to defensive positions now! I'm going to find who's in charge here." He jogged over to a marine. "Who's in charge Corporal?" "Sir, Lieutenant Banks sir, CP is this way. Follow me." The marine turned on his heel and quickly walked to a room deep within the structure.

When Howie reached the structure he found a few rocks and trees that could serve for cover and hide behind them and guarded the path that all the marines had just come through on. He decicded this was best untill he got further orders.

Attention Commanding officers of Alpha team, As of 5 minutes ago, new back-up will arrive. SPARTAN-107 will arive on the surface in about 45 minutes at your checkpoint.
The SPARTAN is a support unit best used for stealth and reconnasence. He is to work with who he chooses and when he mobilizes. Remember, he is a support unit. Your orders are to rendouvous with the SPARTAN and gather any data you can from him.

Mendez listened to the news the CO had sent down. "A Spartan? s**t. I thought they were all assigned elsewhere..." As a grunt rounded the hill, Mendez put a three round burst into it's face.

Norijitsu Lieutenant Twombley. This is Captain Resnick of the Armengald, do you copy? The Lieutenant had moved with the others, making sure that everyone was restationing, and also that no one was being left behind. Awhile later when he himself was just outside of the confines of the structure, near Howie, he got the transmission from Captain Resnick. Mathias replied promptly; 'Sir, this is Twombley. Roger that on SPARTAN-107s arrival. Anything else sir?'Mathias stayed behind cover while he waiting for a reply. His BR55 held up by his right arm, and the barrel resting across his thigh as he crouched.

Twombley, I dont want any of your units going down into that ring without clearance. All units must stay topside at all times. We have no clue what is brewing on this hell hole. so once you reach the chekpoint, Report in and stay put. That's an order soldier.

He saluted to sweatdrop > "Sir, We have less that two hours left before this thing blows...and i think unless we leave all but the vehicles and men, we wont make it outa here alive" He showed the papers where he hade made the calculations. "Sergent Tyrone checked the over as well Sir"((Dude, I was totally thinking about it! Or a really kickass effect, Like superevil crazy abilities like in the movie Doom! Or I could be like one of those crazy Monster things from Doom3)) ((Or you could die! blaugh Oh wait...that would be bad...... sweatdrop xd )) (( do it dude......it would be soo cool to release the flood. and sorry i havent been on latly...my comp got mooved downstairs and we had trouble with the internet....arg)) Sergent Jenkins headed over to the new base with the otheres. He looked into the sky. A few stray banshees harased small pockets of mariens headed for the new structer. A rocket snaked up and took one of the banshees out, starting a small fire. When he got to the base he took a drink from a cantien then took up a defencive position near the entrance of the base.

Kristi moaned, -whats this guys name? Hes stealin my ability here sir!- she said jealously, -I aint gonna let some run of the mill, brain washed, lughead take my sport light!-. She then proceeded to begin to go down the ramp into halo, unaware of the order for clearence.

Mathias clicked the com off, unaware that Kristi had already gone down into the depths of Halo. The Lietenant said over the radio.
'Alright, everyone move forward to the entrance of the Halo structure and secure the area. Set up defenses afterwards...'

Kristi kept moving in marveling at the structure. She loved the archaic look of the place, "damn its glorious down here..." A few moments passed and she decided to take a seat if anyone else came bdown as she cleaned her equipment. She looked down with slight confusion, "its to quiet though... no covanent or flood anywhere..."
