He was amusing himself playing puppetmaster. weaving his strings through crowds, causing arguments and thievery and generally a little controlled mayhem.

patience was one thing. but he was about ready to think they weren't going to show...that they were scared maybe. or weren't as eager to find him as he might have originally thought.

"You bet I do." That was a great thing when Kyst was around too. He got to touch everything easily that normally may have been a tad harder to get near. Latching onto the dolphin he let Kyst do most of the work, just enjoying the thrilling moment of such escapaes. "I'll show you who's faster!"

"As fickle as the currents themselves. But as long as he's happy then that's just fine. It's who he is and I wouldn't change that. Besides, Kyst has always been his friend and I suppose he imprinted a bit on him. Thinks he's half sea elf even if he isn't." Shrugging though before slipping her hands into her hair and pushing it up above he her head to give it a twist and more or less put it into a bun. "I like jellyfish. Despite how tempermental and painful they can be, they're so beautiful to look at."

"Somewhat traced him." Pulling a scroll out of her tunic and showing it to him, as well as the strange writing on it. "He can communicate through this, the symbols change to what we can read and a voice comes through. He can apparently hear through it as well. I've put a trace on the energies, if not him specifically. We need to decipher the scroll though. You have anythign new for that?"

Half distracted he turned his attention back to Sy. "I don't know Syrinne...but I do deeply hope so." He didn't deserve what was happening for just doing what he knew was best. "Fianna, Zhorealis...you two will set up a decipher on the scroll. Then dress down and come with me. We'll poke around a bit and see what we get. You two will stay together while Syrinne and I will stay together. Don't do anything rash even if you recognize anything. This is pure observation. Where are we heading?"

"Carris, Master Tyyrael."

Galesen gave a small nod as he watched the two boys go off with the dolphins. "Yeah, they are great together and I'm glad Kyst has giving Nillrik a great impression of the ocean and such, better to embrace it than to shun it." A look over to Isle and he gave a smile. "You always look good with your hair like that." Grinning he swam over to her and just floated along side her. "Yeah jellyfish can be troublesome, especially in large groups but I find them to be beautiful as well." A pause as he thought things over then grinned again. "I like octopuses, awesome creatures with the way they look, how they can shoot ink and..." A slanted look to Isle and he chuckled. "Their many tentacles that can grasp many people at once!" And so he proceeded to tickle Isle, he had to get her at some point eventually.

"I promise it's not you." But as always, Kyst let Nillrik win. Or rather Kyst's dolphin let Nillrik's dolphin win. He was still young enough to need that extra boost that came from winning such competitions. He let the wind blow through his hair and allowed his dolphin free range to do whatever he wanted. "Now that you're away from your mother... If you have a stone with you, I've got something to show you."

He took the scroll from her, studying the symbols closely, then began muttering beneath his breath. "I've seen something like this but never this particular code." Zhorealis was a tinker and he was constantly messing with runic combinations and coming up with new ones. He was pretty much the eccentric inventor of the group. "I have a few things we can try. Something tells me that it's too simple, though. If this mage is attempting to find out about rune mages, simply deciphering it might very well be a trick. Why is it important?" Already pulling various instruments and glasses out of thin air.

He set the scroll on the table and then picked up another piece of parchment, scribing the deciphering rune onto it where it began to glow red. Then he pulled out a mirror and a much thinner, almost translucent parchment-like paper as well. Using the mirror, he reflected the original rune through the translucent paper until it showed up on the scroll. The mirror began to give off a glow and suddenly the rune on the scroll lit up and flared as it had been activated. "Just in case it's a trap."

the parchment shimmered, faded, and absorbed ink and runic writing onto it until it was blank. then lines formed, flowing into symbols and writing. basically it was the same question he asked before. it wanted all the names of the rune mages and their locations. upon completion, it could give the methodology for curing the problems. then the edges started to dissolve. apparently the longer they waited, the less information they were going to get.

"If you shun the ocean, you hate water and I know few who hate water." Watching the other two for a moment before turning her attention back to Galesen. "What? Up? I don't know. Makes me look old sometimes." Blinking at him though as he seemed to be about to cause trouble. "Then they drown you." Giving a yelp as he started to attack her with tickling once more. "Don't tickle in the water, you're going to drown us."

He reached into his pants pocket below the water and fished into his pocket, lifting his hand back above the water to show the tone before popping it into his mouth. "Let's go!" Oh this was sure to be good.

"We couldn't tell you why it's important." But they let him do his thing before it seemed that the scroll was having a hissy fit. "For someone looking to get knowledge in such ways, they sure are impatient. Either way...leave it here and let it decipher. We'll head to Carris."

"Lhia will watch it." Telepathy told her to keep an eye on it from time to time. Meanwhile it was a change of clothes to something more casual for the rune mages, as they tended to indeed dress fancier than others, though he kept to his uniform. If anything uniforms served as target and better him than them. A translocation rune found them walking into Carris. "Remember now, be descreet." He took Syrinne by the arm in escorting fashion, efforting to make himself look more casual. Start with all the common areas rather than going where our tracks tell us right off the bat."

"I don't think it does, it just seems to suit you is all." Smiling though as he was tickling her. "Oh for us elves it wouldn't take us long to get away, a little shock or something will take care of them." Chuckling as she yelped but when she mentioned drowning he stopped and looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Alright then, what do you suppose we do to pass the time hm?" Raising an eyebrow before he poked her in the ribs, even though he stopped tickling her he was not going to spot exploiting her ticklish spots in other ways.

He gave a grin when the boy did indeed have one on him, diving beneath the surface and waiting for the boy. Experience had taught him the land walking elves didn't adapt as quickly beneath the water, even with the stones. "Follow me, Nillrik." Thus, he began to swim moving deeper and deeper and heading further away from Selkor. After they had gone a bit away, he dove down beneath the shelf of the sea floor and put a hand back to stop Nillrik. Giving him a grin, he pointed to an abandoned ship on the floor. "Now tell me that's not the coolest thing you've ever seen."

He changed and escorted Fianna, sticking close by her as they melded with the crowd. No one had told him what to be looking for which didn't help matters, but he had a sneaking suspicion that their foe could change his appearance at whim. Nothing looked horribly unusual, although he kept his eyes peeled just in case. And then a shadow moved in a jewelry stand. Zhorealis frowned and glanced at Fianna to see if she had noticed anything.

She was unbelievably pleased to be holding onto Tyyrael's arm this way and fully intended to make sure everyone saw her. Smoothing her own uniform down, she strolled next to him and kept her eyes peeled as well. "I think you're doing a wonderful job, Tyyrael." Attempting to make the conversation appear casual. "But why don't you live at HQ anymore? You used to before."

He was still settled on a building, though he was taking a closer look now at a pair. one was wearing that uniform the boy had. unfortunate for her. now he just looking to the one that her arm was laced with. That must be someone of some importance by the way she was acting. a slight smirk though before moving toward another pair nearing the jewelry shop. probably just more shoppers or regular folks, but hey, had to watch anyway. if there was one of them here...odds are there were more.

"Why are you always asking me what to do? You make yourself seem boring that way Gale, and a follower. You don't want to be a follower, do you?" Smacking at his hand as he poked at her again.

Nillrik more or less squealed like a girl over such a sight. After all, he could only imagine the things that could be found in such a place. "We can raid it right? Can we can we can we?" He knew better than to go off on his own in water this deep and what not...otherwise he'd already be down there.

She patted him on the arm, giving him a smile. "Feel like buying my something pretty dearest?" If they were going to investigate a lot of things and try to be not be suspicious of things, they had to play it up a little. She only hoped that no one had the thought in their heads to bother known Master Rune Mages for something or sother.

"I have other things to take care of now rather than just watching everyone in the Brigade every second. I've always had my own place away from HQ and I suppose it's just nice to not be around work all the time. "Strange question to ask." He was keeping a studious look out for things though, watching everyone while his fingers were idly twitching at his side, or at least appeared to be as he was rune spotting everyone, feeling for unusual energies.

"Hey I'm just asking, throwing the idea out there to see what there is to do if anyone has an idea, floating on the water is good for only so long." Galesen then made a noise as she smack his hand and he swam away a bit chuckling. But then he made his way to the boat and climbed up the ladder, disappearing for a bit before returning to the ledge and looking down at Isle with a grin. The elf then lifted his hands to his face and blew into a harmonica he managed to pick up from the marketplace, allowing a bit of music to float between the sounds of the rolling waves. After playing a tune for a little bit Galesen lowered his hands and grinned a little. "So, is my music well enough to enchant the lovely sea maiden I see in the waters? Or do I have to play some more before she comes aboard?" Raising an eyebrow and chuckling a little bit as he sat on the railing a little.

They were cautious. careful. in order to pry them out of hiding, he had to manufacture something. apparently a nearly fatal first strike to one of their own wasn't sufficient to get them acting decisively. both a good thing for their intelligence estimations, and a bad thing for his patience.

So weaving out his threads, subtle, little enchantments. mostly tugging at the things they want to do, but civilized society said no your not allowed. people fighting because something shiny they want. couples enjoying each other in the open in 'indescent' manner, what few children there were running rampant. local guards and such abusing their authority...and then waiting to see someone do something runic.

Kyst was laughing in Nilli's head before he finally nodded. "I wouldn't have brought you down here to see it if you couldn't, Sport. Let's go see what we can find. Just be careful. Many sea animals have made it their home and they were here before you." Diving down towards one of the torn out portholes where he easily slipped through.

"Of course, my darling. And I know precisely what you would like." He leaned over one of the necklaces and pointed out a pretty emerald. Picking it up, he settled it against her neck and whispered, "Someone is using magic. Do you recognize the signature?"

"The ever busy Brigade master. I miss seeing you down at HQ in the middle of the night, Ty. Don't you remember those midnight chats over chocolate cake?" She saw the fighting, the rutting, the chaos starting and shook her head. It was Brigade's job to take care of such things, but she really wasn't sure if Ty wanted to step forward and claim who he was.

"You're always saying that too." Predictable as always. Sometimes that was good and sometimes that was bad. Isle rolled her eyes as he tried another tactic to get to her for his own little desires that she was quite aware of. She could read men like they were the back of her hand. "Are you trying to seduce me with music? I think you have your siren story backwards there Gale."

"I will be." He followed down, mostly letting Kyst check things out before he did, just fore safety's sake. There were tons of neat things and he wished he had brought something with him to collect more than just what could fit into his pockets. Though at the same time through his gleeful pillaging, he kept casting glances up as if to the surface and things above. "...What do you think Galesen and mama are doing?" Not his normal tone in asking that one, that was for sure.

"They were sometimes the only thing that kept me going some nights, of course I remember." However he could feel that things going on weren't normal. HIs constant runing at his side picked up the spike in people that were affected as it seemed for a split second his own magic weavings touched the brush of anothers. "Let's solve a little order here. If anything it will let our new friend know that we notice."

She played her part of flattered giving him a smile before lifting her fingertips to brush across the gem as if lovingly when in reality she was scribing a rune just above it in the air at his prompting. "It's faint...but it feels like the other. I'm not sure which direction it's comeing from though...it's webbed out. Get a look around for anyone."

"Well I'm improvising some fun here, doesn't hurt to try, backwards story or not." Grinning as he played a little bit of more music for awhile, yeah he was trying somewhat but mostly he was just fooling around, doing nothing totally special. After playing for awhile Galesen grabbed something to drink and sat down, staring at the water and the sky from the deck before looking down to Isle and raising an empty glass. "Want something to drink?" Didn't hurt to ask really, but he kept his eyes cast else where, thinking of things he needed to do a little bit, what else he could do in a little while, it was just one of those days for him really.
