Gail smiled as she stepped in."Glad to see your finally awake and well Eden. You scared quite a few people. Will is outside worried out of his mind and so is Lydia. Kiaska came here in her wedding dress to see you and even Kiriyama said he would wait till your well to have his wedding."She went up to her and Tokeru."So Im sure Tokeru gave you the great news."

Great, she hated it when people helped her and made sure she was alright, but a friggin' crowd of people here to make sure she was alright was just too damned intense. She hated being babied, hated feeling weak, and she didn't need an audience to see her in this condition. Had Gail said Will? Uh-oh, what the hell was he going to say? Knowing her over-protective older brother, he just might consider attempting to stop her from hunting ...
And Skiaska and Kiriyama ... they'd stopped their wedding to come here so that must have meant tons of people knew she was here. Great, just great. They shouldn't have stopped their wedding just because she was in the infirmary, hell, she wasn't even sure if she was going to go ... After all, she didn't want to end up attempting to strangle Kiriyama on his wedding day.
She sighed in slight exasperation, making sure not to be too loud or lift her chest too high so that Tokeru was awakened by it. "Um ... what big news?" Edith was kind of scared now, what big news could there possibly be? Was it good or bad news? Well, likely good since she wasn't frowning, but still.

Gail smiled and went over to her with several files with her.She gentally brushed some of Eden's hair back."Well while we were checking on you physicall condition we discovered several things. Eden......you may think your a vampire but the physical examination shows that your still human. You still need air and your heart still functions. Now for the bigger news." She handed her several pictures of the child in her."We discovered your six months pregnat.Congradulations."Gail said smiling at her."Weve run all possible test and your child is extremly healthy. You have no worrys at all."

Edith was literally speechless. How the hell had all this happened? How was she not a vampire? She had friggin' fangs, needed blood, went all berserk when she didn't have blood. And what about her psychic abilities, had they just randomly magically appeared and popped out of no where? Heh, not likely, not until pigs flew, and she sure as hell hadn't seen any of those lately, not even in her dreams.
As for the second part, she gasped. She'd remembered that she'd intially come to haven to ask Gail to do a check on her and now that she'd gotten her results she'd remembered. Edith couldn't help but be excited by all of this, she was going to be a mother! Tokeru and her had somehow managed to have a kid! It was just too impossible. Too good to be true.
Edith looked up at Gail, somwhat confused, somewhat skeptical. "Um ... are you sure about all this stuff Gail, I mean, I've got fangs, I need blood ... And ... even though I do have a belly, I thought that I wouldn't be able to have a kid ..."

Gail nodded."Thats what I belived to. But when we did the physical all your bodily functions were still in working order. Its like this. When a person becomes a vampire the perons heart is usless. The heart will have no blood to pump through the rest of the persons body. When the physical was done we discovered your heart was still working pumping blood through your body. Though its not to say your not a vampire. You need blood and have the physicality of a vampire but you aslo contain your human self. Heres an example. Reno came to me one time to bandage his arm after he slit it open for you to drink. He told me no matter how much he begged for you to drink from him you refused. A normal vampire would have jumped him and sucked him dry. Your still human. And its that bit of human in you that is making you able to have a child."

Edith really didn't know what to say, so instead, she said nothing and just stared at the x-rayed shots of her child. Without needing to be shown, Edith could find the head, the feet, the arms. God, just looking at it excited her so much. And yet, at the same time, the realization that she was going to be a mother scared her. Her, a mother? Hell, she was probably going to be the worst parent in the world, that plus she was a hunter, well, shadowstalker.
She sighed once again, still somewhat struggling with what to say. "That's so ******** though ... So are you saying that this is permanent or that eventually I'm going to end up not having a heart beat and no pulse?" She was so confused, hell, when wasn't she?

As Krii asked for her, she laped her hand on him gently, speaking softly.
"Hey baby...I'm here. You were brought here after I left you in the city. I dont know what happened but...I'm sorry. I should have known better than to let you go out there alone with daywalkers, and this is all my fault for being careless." She continued to speak quickly, before she realized what she was doing, forcing herself to stop speaking. The others around her didnt matter, even as much as she cared for Eden as a hunter. Her fiancee took priority now, and if he wanted her there then she would be by his side til he was ready to go.
(( ok...dont mean to be a party pooper, but have you guys gotten that whole still human thing cleared with a mod? hybrids of any kind are strictly forbidden...>>'' ))

(( Edith's not really a hybrid, just temporarily and as soon as she has her kiddie, if she does, then the vampirism's gonna take over her. As far as mods go, Hokaru and I sorta planned this out ... >.> So yeah. ))
Monitor? Twenty-four seven? No, no, no. She needed to hunt, she needed to help her brothers and sisters, she needed to make sure that they were alright. "Are you serious? How am I supposed to hunt? I hope I'm at least allowed some bathroom time ..." No, Edith did not have bowel movements any longer, but she still asked just to get her point across.
She was starting to get louder, forgetting that her fiance was attempting to sleep by using her as his cushion though his cushion was sort of beginning to shout. Immediately once she noticed how loud she was and remembered Tokeru, she became rather silent again, remembering to use her inside voice.

Gail shook her head."Eden....you have to understand that we are monitering not only you but your child as well. What if your hunting and your heart stops? Your child could die. Im sorry Eden but we have to keep you here until that baby is born. I know its somthing you really dont want to do but its a matter of life and death."

Edith sighed, what luck she had, stuck here for a whole three months ... whoopee for her ... However, it was for a good reason, she'd never put another life in danger because she wanted to hunt. Then again, she could be putting the life of one of her brothers or sisters in danger by not hunting along with them. Why were decisions so hard and why did they have a downside no matter what she chose?
"Yeah," Eden admitted, accepting defeat though she was going to detest being babied for three whole months, "but I'm not going to stay in a bed the entire time so will I be able to at least walk around haven so I don't become some fat what-ever race I am preganant lady-thing?" She'd never been good at sitting still, had never been good at waiting either. She was one of those people who rushed in and thought about the consequences later. She dived in head-first all the time. Had snapped her neck at one point, but had survived and never learned from what had happened.

Gail nodded."Yes you can walk around. And dont feal too bad about not hunting. Most of the hunters are going to be staying here in the Haven."She smiled and dug into her pocket."Eden.....I know this might be panifull but."She pulled out Reno's goggles that he always had on his head."Joker found them outside. I thought you might want them."He handed them to her."I'll let you get some rest now."He said walking out of her room.

Simi-chan 'I think ... I'm fine? I don't really remember what happened, I just remember Tokeru crying ... upset ... because of me.'
"I am glad you are all right. I know you do not like to be babied, I got that much from our brief link, but we want you to get healthy soon. You can get better on your own, but let us help so that we can make the process quicker. And since you are now not allowed to hunt, as I am tied down with the respinsibilities of looking after my child, perhaps we could get some of those lessons in, help you to become proficent in your abilities." Lydia said in a small whisper, so only Edith could hear.

Krii'Ouse smiled, then frowned as Kerrigan began blaming herself. 'No, darling. It's not your fault.' He looked around, his sight still fuzzy. 'Don't blame yourself, hun. I was careless, reckless, and proud. I wasn't taking caution when they had me flanked. It was a pair of Daywalkers, though. Silver swords, gas masks, and they tried to teargas me.'
He closed his eyes. 'Babe, you had to do what you had to do. I had to calm myself down. Unfortunately, that pair of vampires thought I didn't.' His breathing began to get slower, pain rushed his face. He grunted, and grimaced, tightening his grip on her hand. 'It burns... So much...' he growled. After a moment, the pain faded. 'Don't worry, baby. It's not your fault. I'm the fool who thought myself so high. They were skilled, but not experts. I just got caught flat-footed.'
'I'll be fine in a little while.' He breathed sharply as another wave of pain rushed through him. 'Really... I will.'
