"Cookies are borderline?" Sariel asked softly, his eyes growing wide as his attention re-focused on the boy in front of him. "No milkshakes in the summer, caramel apples in the winter?" He asked seemily surprised that somebody would refuse sweets like that. "And besides why of all things would it be a cats secret?" he asked teasingly, his eyes slanting slighlty and looking more wolven for a moment. With a small amount of concentration he snapped them back to their normal black color, the thought of losing himself growing increaasingly more real the hungrier he got.
"You are mysteriouse and sweet, fun, and delightful to talk to, You are right in saying I don't know much about you but sadly as of this moment there hasn't been much of you I havn't liked..." He spoke softly. "however I suppose you are right... I guess I can't know untill we have gone out a feew more times..." Sariel watched as Fae took his utensiles, the interesting thing he was building a perfectly balanced and interesting thing to look at. Before Sariel had the chance to reply the waitress came back with the orders, the smell of Steak and milk making him smile. "Would you like to give me back my part of your artwork so we can eat?" He asked teasingly, the glimmer in his eyes somewhat sedated.
He had to pace himself, the steak was rare as he had asked with a small sliver of butter on top, perhaps the most fattening thing he had considered eating since he had moved to this small little wastland... With a small smile he nodded over to Fae and cut a portion of steak from the mass, eating it with a delighted whimpering sigh. "You know, this place has amazing food...."

"None," Fae said with finality, his nose wrinkling in a distasteful fashion. He had to reconsider, though, on the caramel apples. Caramel was the one thing he made exception for. "Well... Perhaps a caramel apple, but that's only because I like caramel," he ended before moving on to the second part of his breakfast companion's question.
To that, Fae smiled; he really did look like a cat when he did that, too. "We must keep our own council, or they'd just call us dogs," the dark-haired boy said. He was just drawing out the cat metaphor Sariel had started with those slit pupils, but it was an entertaining enough one. Accurate besides, though Sariel didn't know that yet.
Even as Fae was building his structure he listened attentively; there was something in his body language that gave that away. A certain presence he had about him, perhaps. It seems you've taken a liking to me, Fae thought, unpreturbed by it. He'd had people approach him about such things before, though most of them had annoyed him beyond belief. At least Sariel seemed to be a rather interesting fellow. "Thank you," Fae said pleasantly, glancing up at Sariel with a small smile in his eyes. "And I'm glad you agree."
The waitress showed up then, dropping a steak in front of Sariel and a pile of pancakes in front of Fae. The younger of the two grinned, then removed his fork. Without the fork, the structure tumbled to the tabletop in a clamour. Fae hated that noise, but really, it was very difficult to dismantle without it. And at least he'd managed to grab Sariel's fork out of the falling mass as well.
"Here," Fae said, offering the fork and beginning on his own stack simultaneously. They ate quietly for a fre moments before Sariel commented on the food. Fae glanced up from his breakfast and cocked his head lightly to the side. "Well, I'm certainly glad you think so," he commented, sounding amused. It was goood that Sariel liked the place - it was the most truant friendly in the neighborhood.

"What do you do in your spare time? This place seems great and all but I am sure you have a lot more interesting places.... Right?" Sariel asked as he ate, a small whimper of delight pressing through him as he finished his steak and began to work on the rest of his meal. With a moment of hesitation his hand slowly worked over to the glass Fae had been using, the boys scent making him shiver softly, his senses more aware now that he had eaten something.
"I think you should show me around town... I would like very much to have somebody to walk with for a small while before I have to go back to the hell hole... Erm... House..." His tone was bitter then and a vague sight of the creature within could be seen, the thought of going home was enough to make his temper rise; the fork in his hand bending slightly as he grasped it tighter.
((Sorry, its hard to think of something to write when I am stuck in bed...))

((Don't even worry about it. I just kept you waiting for like... two weeks. : / Sorry about that... But I'm trying! It's just hard to keep up with everything right now))
Fae ate quietly, a smile tugging at his mouth when he heard the whimper Sariel let out. A very carnal person indeed, he thought as he took another bite of his pancakes. "They are more interesting to me, anyway," Fae said by way of a response, letting his words clearly imply the "yes, I do know other places" that he meant. Fae had a lot of them, really. There was the old scrapheap, a place filled with twisted metal cars and other devices that had long outlived their use, the roof of his house, from which one could watch the stars, the dead-end alleyway that everyone seemed to have forgotten about but that was perfect for graffiti art and then, of course, all kinds of places in the woods.
Those would probably interest him the most, Fae thought, glancing over at his vaguely animalistic acquaintance. "As for free time... I either spend it online, outside, driving or creating," he responded, holding up four fingers and taking one down with each mention. "You?" Fae asked, his purple-grey eyes flicking up to meet Sariel's own.
A smile flickered across Fae's face when Sariel mentioned that he should show him around town. Brash, much? the dark-haired boy thought, amused. But it was a reasonable request, and he wouldn't much mind the company. It didn't escape his notice that Sariel seemed none too fond of his home, but for now Fae let it slide. Sariel would tell him if ever he wanted to, and Fae could be patient for now. He wouldn't want someone all up in his business, after all, and it was a courtesy he extended to others.
"Sure thing. We'll go after this," Fae said, taking another delicate bite of his meal. That he was skipping the first day of school didn't perturb him in the slightest. He could easily just say that he'd had his alarm set wrong and had slept in until 2, like he did in the summer, and that his parents had been out of the house before he had even supposed to have woken up. Sariel, on the other hand, had the "new kid" excuse - he hadn't been clear on which day it started or whatever the hell he felt like.
