Marael waved a hand in dismissal. "I think you all underestimate your skills. You would have survived, I am sure." She looks up at the sky then back around at the group. "It will be dark soon. We should not linger here." She said. She nodded to the area behind Luke and Gabe. "Bredia Village is that way. If you want to make it before dark, we should leave." She walked over to retrieve her pack from behind the tree.

Valerye fingered her eyes. "Don't... Won't we stand out like this?" she asked, her left hand wielding her staff, and her right still on her ear. "If I'm not mistaken, elves have pointed ears, right? Well, our ears are really... round, I guess." Valerye hoped that their clothes wouldn't stick out too much, unless they were wearing the same kind of things that the elves were. She looked at Marael, then sighed. She couldn't decide that on only one elf.

"Alright, can you take us there." Jeni said, "Even if we do stand out, I'd rather be somewhere that may have information than out here with nothing." She took another look round but saw nothing move except grass and trees in the wind, she sighed and shook her head. Everything was so different here, even her.

Luke looks behind him, his hand still on Gabe's head. "This way, hm?" He scans the foliage and sees nothing of any noticeable threat. After patting the panther's head, he stands and looks around at the group. A few seem to be still silent... "Well...I guess we need to start moving then." He turns and begins making his way through the limbs and bushes...

There are no such things as coincidence."Uh.. Luke? Don't you think that Marael should lead the way?" Valerye asked, watching her upperclassman making his way through the wilderness. She personally didn't want to follow a complete - well, not complete, she had given her name and fought along side them, right? - stranger to a elven village, even if both Marael and the village had good intentions. But it wasn't like she had a choice. Valerye was hungry, and her large appetite was getting the better of her mind. There is only hitsuzen

Jeni dashed after him and caught Luke by the nearest shoulder, "Slow down there, I know we need to move, but Marael knows where this village is and you don't. I have no idea what your sense of direction is like, but we don't want to get lost." she said the latter part quietly so no one else woild hear, she then lowered her voice even more for the next part, "I'll need to talk to you in private when we get to this village, I'm concerned about some of the group's lack of combat experience, and given what happened, I think as you're the only other person on a combat sports team, your opinion is important." She said this quickly, then pulled him back to the rest of the students and Marael

"It is alright." Marael called to Jeni as she started to pull Luke back. She walked toward the pair of them. "It should not be very far." She looked back at the rest of the group, then walked around Luke and Jeni, heading a slightly different direction than Luke had been. "Come." She said simply, and continued on her way. "Gabe, watch watch our back and flank." Marael called out to the panther. He butted his head against Luke again, and then slipped off into the woods. Traitor. Marael thought.

There are no such things as coincidence.Valerye watched Jeni secretly talking to Luke, not that she heard anything, and then followed in the back as everyone walked to the village. She had an awful lot to think about, and whenever she had to think a lot, her head started to her. So, Valerye wasn't at all surprised to find out that she had a horrendous headache, and her stomach complained silently. There is only hitsuzen

Jeni let go of Luke then followed Marael with the others. She was still on edge, she considered getting Valerye to join her talk with Luke, but at the time she could not find a way to tell her without the others noticing. She managed to find a pace that matched Valerye's and fell in step just behind her. "I need to talk to you about something when we're at the village." she whispered, "Luke'll be there too, I'll explain later." she hoped no one else had heard what she'd just said.

Luke almost glared at the others' almost hostile reaction to him trying to take a bit of action instead of just sitting there saying they need to do something. ...it's not like we exactly know where we are, anyway. As the others begin to move on, and keeping in mind what Jeni said to him, he falls back to walk near Gabe. He lowers his tone and leans in a bit as he walks. "You're about the only one here I really trust, Gabe." He picks up his cape as he walks by it and puts it back on. It flutters a bit, but stops as they leave the open breezy area...

There are no such things as coincidence.Valerye nodded sharply, causing the bruises on her back to hurt. She wondered what Jeni had to talk about, but she decided to listen to the upperclassman. After all, Valerye was only a freshman, what authority did she have? She shrugged, and continued to walk in the back, only a few steps in front of Gabe and Luke. There is only hitsuzen

Luke, still not exactly thrilled about taking orders from anyone, much less someone who has no more of an idea of what's going on then him, decides to take this time to take a look at his sword. Unsheathing it, it makes a beautiful ring that just about gives the boy chills. Ah...sweet, sweet music. Aith a smile he surveys it. With the handle of a rapier, the blade is quite surprizing. About two inches wide, the blade is mainly on the front side. About three feet up the back, the metal is flat, allowing for certain defence maneuvers a regular rapier wouldn't allow. The last foot and a half is classic rapier style, blade on both sides, allowing for quick slashes and thrusts. A beautifully straight and strong blade, the metal shimmers. It's like a cross between a rapier and a katana. Having been trained-well, self trained-in most sword styles, and these two being his absolute favorites, he grins acceptingly, resheathing his new sword, and goes about following the rest of the students-er, teenagers.

There are no such things as coincidence.Valerye's steps slowed as she thought. Her mind still swirled around the possibilities of not being on Earth. Her stomach had decided to complain loudly just then, causing herself to wonder whether or not the food on this Elvin world would be poisonous to her, or if they were just like the ones on Earth. "Either way, I'm famished." Valerye said out loud softly. She sighed. If she was at home, she'd be able to tell whether or not some plants were poisonous. She wondered if she could still do it here.
