~RAISE DA ROOF, DA ROOF ON FYE-AH!~
“Why are we doing all this again?”
“Because the holidays are fun and need to be celebrated.”
“…But it’s after Christmas….”
“Who’s counting? They’re just lights”
Osso shrugged in reply as he tossed up another rope of white lights to the roof. His mom and him had been out there since lunch…and it was now five and almost dark. A third of the roof still had to be outlined of the English-looking country house.
“Mom…”
“Yeeeaah?” Azumi peeked down over the side of the roof again, a cord of lights clumped in her hand.
“…Are you almost done? Does the whole thing need to be done?”
“Uh…duuuuuuhh, Dear. It’ll look silly if only half is done. All or nothing,” replied the werewolf before disappearing again.
The Mishap sighed and sat back down on a large plastic box.
-----Now 7PM------
“You still breathing down there?….Osso?… OSSO!?”
The skeletal boy came running out of the house and moved back enough to see at least half of his mother on the roof. “Yup?”
“Where the hell is the ladder?”
“Uh…Kanti!”
“Wha-?”
“Yeeeeessss, o brother of mine?” The orange haired child called from the front door, a cheshire-like grin on her face.
“Where’s the ladder?”
“Don’t know.”
“Kaaaaaannttttttiiiiiiiiii….” Came a seething voice from above.
“Osso, did you hear that!? It’s God! And he’s mad!”
“And frozen!”
“Oh NO…Kanti, God’s stuck on the roof!”
“Ossooo…..”
“Heaven doesn’t know He’s here!”
“Go turn on the global positioning system, Kanti!”
“Got it, Spock!” Kanti raced back inside the house, out the back door, and connected two plugs. Suddenly the many strands of Christmas lights illuminated and lit Azumi from the bottom
“Kanti, God’s glowing!”
“Raise da roof, da roof on FYE-AH!”
“OKAY, good LORD, I get it. No more excessive lights!” The woman on the roof cried.

~Magic Class and "the terrible creature"~
An empty water bottle clunked noisily down the sidewalk until it landed in the curb. Its abuser gave an aggravated sigh and left it to be kicked by some other passer by.
Black and white hands or the tall boy lifted the cream furred collar of his jacket slightly against the chill in the air before re-crossing his arms over his chest. Face was adverted to the ground; hollow sockets watching his Converse clad feet carry him down the paved path. A couple seconds later he turned sharply to the left and found himself on a new path, one that he had walked several times before in his life.
Heaving another sigh, Osso looked up. Pale hair fell into his face, but it was ignored as he stared at the front door of the Mishaps HQ. Normally this would’ve been a happy sight for him, but today it just wasn’t. No matter the location, a class could never ever be considered FUN.
Sniffing and uncrossing his arms, he grasped the cold door handle and pushed the door open. A wave of warm air flew into his cold face and for a moment his cheeks burned slightly.
Stepping in, he stomped his feet a little on the carpet, snow falling from his pant legs and shoes, and then closed the door quietly behind him. Rubbing his hands he sniffed again and looked about as she moved down the hall. Nothing had changed since he had been a baby.
At the end of the hall he came into an oval area where the staircase led to the upper levels. Remembering the map his mother had shown him before he left, the Mishap moved along the right wall for a few steps before yanking open the first door…or well, that’s what he had planned to do, anyway.
When he went to open the door, it only managed to get it open about an inch before the thing resisted and slammed shut, as if someone on the other side decided to grab hold and pull it closed.
Raising a brow, Osso tried to open it again, but the same thing happened. “Great….” He mumbled, and shifting his weight, he raised a hand to knock on the smooth surface of the door.
Tat tat tat
No answer.
TAT TAT tat
Again, no answer.
BANG BANG BANG
The door flew open and nearly smacked the skeleton-marked boy down onto his butt.
“Stop making that racket!” Came a distinctly female voice from inside the barely lit room.
Regaining his posture, Osso again raised a brow. He moved forward and peeked his head inside
More coming.
