We live to fight...
Dorune smiled at Salyf, "I suppose you do have a point there, milady Salyf. Though if your curiosity ever gets the best of you, I can almost guarantee on my honor that the Omen Man will know. Whether or not he will tell you is another matter entirely," Time shrugged, "Would it really be that bad to find out you're from Hajrian? I mean...they may be slightly stupid there for following their deity so blindly, but I'm sure in a population so large there must be one that is partially human," Dorune put extra emphasis on the word 'one.' Dorune saw his drink set down in front of him and he looked up at the serving girl and smiled. "Thank you, miss," he said politely and looked back to the drink and took a large gulp, draining it to just below halfway. He looked around for a moment and spotted Time and the woman with the ferret and then looked back at Salyf, "While we are on this subject, what deity finds your favor?"
We fight to die.

Alex turned to look at the man, disbelief on her face. "Y-Y'understood her?" She was quite shocked, she had never heard of anyone else who had her ability. Her eyes then narrowed and she looked at her drink once again. "Alright, I'll listen to yer important infermation. But I'll-" Oak quickly interrupted her. 'And she'll listen to every word without interruption.' Alex took another sip of her drink. "Aye, an' I'll listen t' every word without interruption." She looked back at the man and waited for him to speak.

"Hm." Salyf looked thoughtfully at her now empty cup. She replied with "Opposites." Salyf didn't intend for it to make any sense, and she'd give Dorune credit if he figured it out. 'But it's not like I gave any clues either...' She gave the cup back to the waitress and thanked her. "But never mind about me. I don't intend to dig up my past."

Dorune nodded, "They may be opposites, but I doubt they don't see eye to eye on many things. Xrath is more rash with his decisions, while Esra is more mild. A lot like their elements; very appropriate." Dorune drank the rest of his drink in one drink and smiled at her last statement and nodded, "True, its better to not think of the past too much, though if you do want to talk about it sometime, I believe we'll be together for a while."
Time smiled at Oak and spoke with his smile barely not transforming into a grin, "Thank you, friend beast. Your help is definitely appreciated," Time then turned his attention to Alex, "Yes, I understood her, and there is much more you may learn about me if you agree to my proposition. My proposition is thus: travel with a small group to the border of the country of Ashran in cover of the large Alinian expedition and explore the border. That is all. I will be accompanying the group for only a small while, but after that I need you all to stay together so arranging the group tonight. You will leave on the morrow. Will you accompany us, Miss?" Time smiled sweetly and twirled his staff slowly.
We fight to die.

The corner of Alex's lip twitched. She wanted to smile but forced herself to stop. She closed her eyes and finished her drink. "I have heard o' this expedition tha' attracts people so." She thought on his proposition. "Why me tho'? What use am I t' others?" She opened her eyes and looked at the man. "Though I doubt it'll matter. You'd prob'bly ask me t' join anyway... Alrigh' I'll come. Bu' don' expect me t' get along with anyone."

Salyf smirked, surprised that he found out with so little hints. She might've looked to Tysi and Arzel, or Mazrith and Sthyrk, or Faldorn and Hajial for that matter. "I just like... balances, since obviously, I lack it." At this, Salyf smiled secretively. "And I guess you're right. If we'll be traveling as a party, or group, or whatever you wish to call it, some secrets won't stay secrets, will they?"

Dorune nodded and smiled at her, "Nay, milady Salyf, you are the perfect balance of beauty and civility. A rare find these days," he grinned at her for a moment and then retreated it to a calm look with a slight twist of a smile remaining. "Yes, no secrets. We'll have to make some sort of pact on this, but I'm sure the Omen Man has that figured out. Have you ever heard of him before this?" asked Dorune.
"Trust me, you'll make plenty of friends. And you are going to be one of the most usful on the trip, Miss Alexandria. If you'll follow me back to the rest of the group, we'll join them. If you have any questions before we head back to the group?" he waited a moment to see if she had any questions. He was now smiling at her and he held his staff rigid.
We fight to die.

Alex turned in her seat and stood up. "I have no questions, sir." She looked at the table she knew he would be taking her to. "An' if y'knew me at all... y'd know tha' I don' make friends with people." She waited for him to take her to the others.

Salyf's puzzlement didn't show on her face. "By 'Omen Man,' you speak of Sir Time, do you not?" She started to tug on a strand of hair that got into her eyes. "Of course I've heard of him, though, I didn't recognize his... the name he gave us." Salyf had a hard time thinking that gods went by nicknames, but at this moment, she was apt to believe almost anything.

Time frowned for a second and then smiled at her, "Alright, then. Lets get a move on. And trust me, Miss Alexandria. You will make friends." He smiled looking into her eyes one more time, and then turned and walked back towards the group of people he had been gathering. Only a few more to go, he thought to himself.
We fight to die.

Alex glared at the man before he turned and walked to the group. She sighed, looked at Oak who slinked herself around Alex's neck, then followed the man to the group she would be joining.

Dorune nodded, "Aye, 'Sir Time' is much more than he appears to be. I may try to get something out of him later, if you wish to help me, milady Salyf. I've always doubted his supposed godhood because of his, well...'escapades,' but I suspect we'll know by the end of this trip. But it seems our time for chatter is at an end for the moment, as the Omen Man returns to us, successful." Dorune drank the rest of his drink in one gulp and slammed the mug down on the table and looked over to where Zachary now stood away from them. I better go get him when Time returns, Dorune thought with a sigh. He looked to the woman with Time that had the ferret around her neck. "Ah, Omen Man, who is this beautiful woman that you bring with you?" He looked at her, "Mayhaps she'd like to introduce herself?"
We fight to die.

Alex started, she was not used to be addressed, unless it was by the animals she was so accustomed to. But she answered when Oak gave her a little nudge. "My name, good sir, be Alexandria Tenareth. Bu' y'may call Alex. This here be Oak, m'faithful companion and friend. An' what may I call you?" She asked as politely as she could.

There are no such things as coincidence.Salyf smiled, if not a bit warily. "It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Alex. My name's Salyf, but I'd rather you call me Kry." She bit her bottom lip as she remembered that she forgot to tell that to Zachary and Dorune. She have hoped that they'd call her that, but it seemed that 'Salyf' stuck better than 'Kry.' Well, she was called 'Kry' for what, nine years? Of course she'd respond a bit slower to 'Salyf' than if she was called 'Kry.' And that name had come with a reputation. Not that she minded the wide berth her fellow thieves had given her.
In the meanwhile, her eyes strayed from Time, to Alex, to Oak. Kry bit her bottom lip a tad harder. She didn't have anything against animals, she just wasn't used to them. She wondered what would happen if Oak decided not to like her? Kry mentally sighed. She was no good with animals anyways. The majority hated her, which she thought, was quite ironic. There is only hitsuzen
