Asrafel fell into a giddily content silence as they walked forward. Every so often he would steal a glance her way, if only to judge the distance between them, and wonder whether it would be all right to move a little closer, or whether he was too close already. Little worries like that tugged at him, and they were such nice little worries to fret about.

He turned his head up to look at the sky when she spoke of the time, and was caught unaware when she suddenly darted ahead. Her hand tugged him back into noticing, and with a stumble he fell into a run just a step behind her. The sudden need to hurry left him breathless with anticipation. What could it be that would go away so soon? It must be something wonderful!

'Stay close, and we'll go together!'

As they neared the slope, he lagged just a step or two behind, though still stumbling to keep up with her so he never had to let go. He blinked, trying to comprehend what she could mean.

"Go? Go where?" His breathless voice barely managed to pant out.

Elle continued on, undaunted...and surprisingly nimble on her feet! "You can use those lovely wings, if you'd like! I just wanted to watch you climb, before." With a quick look over one shoulder, eyes narrowed and sparkling, Elle laughed and leapt for the next set of rocks. It was the perfect time for such an admission, breath already short from her darting hike.

Finally, they reached the top of the rise, and the cliffs sprawled out before them. From this height something else was visible, rising over the tree line. The top of a light house, right on the coast...the pale walls covered in creeping moss.

"We'll make it, just in time." She paused only long enough to take a breath, the wind plastering her dress to her side. Giving Asra's hand a squeeze, she was suddenly off again...ducking into the trees and making for the white tower.

Elle only stopped once she was before it...ambling to a halt on the large cobblestones before the tall red door. Panting through her smile, hair mussed from the wind, she reached out blindly to tug Asra closer. One hand dropped to the ring of keys on her belt...the metal chiming softly as she sorted through it by touch.

In a way, she'd intended to keep this place for herself, yet she was so excited to share it with Asra. Elle didn't think on it any longer, and lifted the key ring. "Our secret." She drew him a bit closer, cheeks still pink from the run as she caught her breath.

Asra stopped where he was for the moment, as Elle climbed, and thought about what she'd said. He didn't quite understand it, until he realized that he too was lagging behind and, coincidentally, watching her climb. Seeing as the view was more than blush worthy, he staggered to lift himself up into the air, fluttering directly behind her. He could still catch her scent in the wind, and on more than one occasion he caught himself drifting because of it. He sprung to life each time, fumbling to catch up with her.

He hovered behind her as they reached the top, and looked over her shoulder curiously. Her hand caught his and squeezed it once more, and it brought his attention back to her for a moment before returning his gaze to the lighthouse. It seemed that was their destination, and he wondered silently to himself if they would climb to the top and watch the day amble by from there. It had looked farther than he'd first thought, and his wandering thoughts had him suddenly surprised to be standing before the doorway, waiting for Elle to let them in. His gaze fell to her own, before wandering along her face. The color flushing her cheeks looked as though, if licked, they would taste sweet like candy. He brought his hand up and brushed against them with the back of his fingers, smiling sweetly.

"Okay. Our secret."

Now, for the hard part. Taking a breath, a bit shallower than she intended as his fingers slid across her skin, Elle beamed at her companion. The key she lifted was old, one of the longer ones on the ring...and decorated with sunburst filagree. Glancing down as she pushed the bronze key into the old, moss covered lock, Elle reached up to tuck some of her sliding hair behind her ear. This was the tricky part.

Giving half a turn to the right, then a complete twist to the left, she shivered as it unlocked with a clack. Oh, how she loved secrets! Especially well kept ones.

Pushing the door open with her shoulder, she motioned Asra inside. Before she shut the door again, she made sure to brush the moss to the side...that way, it would fall back into place rather than being trapped as she shut the door behind them. Someone still made rounds every month or so...she didn't want to give them reason to come inside.

This part made her a bit nervous. The first half of the climb was almost completely dark. Reaching out blindly, she finally found Asra's shoulder...and her hand slid to the side across his chest as she tried to get her bearings.

"Here we go, it's a bit of a hike to the top. They built this as one of the tallest lighthouses on the coast, just so they wouldn't have to cut down the trees around it! Isn't that-"

Elle trailed off as her hand wandered, too lost in the feel of warm skin below her fingertips. Somehow, her fear of the darkness sharpened everything, and nothing had ever felt so sensuous than the invisible brush of ribbons, and the stomach her hand traveled over.

Letting her hand settle on Asra's hip, Elle stepped in a bit closer, still silent. She raised her head, but wasn't aiming to steal a kiss in the dark...instead, she brushed the curve of his neck with her nose...sighing quietly. In the dark, that childish sparkle was hidden, and the hints of young Asra couldn't be seen. In the dark...he was the same as she.

It was time to take a step back, she knew. Time to start that long climb, and show him what waited at the top. Elle didn't push away though, and stood a moment longer in the circle of his warmth. The words she hadn't finished earlier returned to her lips, though the tone had melted into something new.

"...amazing."

Asrafel's eyes dropped to the key a moment too late, after he'd heard the loud click of the lock opening. He bent under the moss before Elle returned it to it's former state, and his wings drooped significantly when the darkness settled around him. He didn't like the dark.. it was.. dark.

Elle spoke, but Asrafel wasn't sure he could hear her clearly. Her hand slid down his chest, and somehow that deafened him to the point where he couldn't hear very well. That coupled with the lack of being able to see, only made his sense of touch heighten, and he shivered at the feeling.

Don't stop, just don't stop..

But of course despite his internal protests she did stop, only after brushing against his neck and leaving her warm breath to tease his skin. He pressed his hand against the one that had stilled at his hip, and curved his fingers around it.

His eyes opened, their glazed shine invisible.

"It sounds amazing. I can't wait to see it from the top."

His voice was low, and his words were a lie. He could wait forever to see it, if it meant staying in the dark with Elle.

As his hand found hers, Elle let her fingers twine with Asra's...raising their hands slowly from his hip to her face. For a moment, she stood in his arms...pressing her cheek to the grasp they shared. As she turned her head, Elle's lips brushed softly over the backs of his fingers, one by one, and she left a gentle kiss on his last knuckle.

Elle knew this was selfish of her on so many levels, but her heart didn't believe those words. It didn't feel selfish...and all she wanted to feel was more.

Her free hand lifted, but not towards Asra. Instead, she quested for something different in the darkness, and found his ribbons with a sweet and featherlight carress. She took a step back, letting it slide from between her fingers.

"This way." She lowered Asra's hand to her waist as she turned her back to him, and guided his other there as well...eyes almost fluttering shut at the feel of his touch on either side of her hips. In the darkness, her cheeks flushed with a healthy glow. She'd thought about this, this very thing. Walking with him up those endless stairs...

Her hips rolled as she walked, barefoot as always across the cool stone. With Asra close behind her, she had both hands free...and opened her arms to the dark. Fingers trailing across the stone with a whisper, she walked blindly down the hall.

"I'm glad to have you with me...I like being with you, Asra." Her voice was warm and quiet, pitched to carry as though she'd whispered in his ear. Only the slightest tremble hinted that it was an understatement.

There was no helping where his thoughts drifted when Elle brushed her lips against his hand. They were so soft, and so warm, that all he could think about was how lovely they must feel when kissed. He wanted to find out for sure, and should the moment have lasted too long, he would have done so.

He sucked in a quiet breath when her hand brushed against his ribbon, but the ribbons reactions were all of their own, and he couldn't even see when the red ribbon was so suddenly tugged away from Elle's reach by a jealous yellow one. The yellow ribbon reached out and wrapped around her arm even as it pulled away, no longer worried about it's main purpose. After all, the ribbons served to function as a barrier of decency, and in the dark, Asrafel needed no such barrier. The ribbon itself was free to do what it liked, and it liked Elle. It liked Elle so much that it harbored some kind of mindless jealousy against any other ribbon that may slide her way.

The entities that swirled around the boy seemed much more clever and mysterious than even he might normally suppose.

Thankfully, it held no such jealousy for Asrafel's hands, which to his delight were pressed against those teasing, rolling hips that felt much too good to hold. He had the strangest urge to clamp down and pull her back against him, but he loosely let her lead him onward, dedicated to the importance of her desire to show him her secret hideaway.

He was on his feet now, just as bare as hers and just as quiet as they treaded up the same steps she had. A ghost of a smile kissed his lips when she spoke, and he hurried up a step, leaning over her shoulder right behind her for a moment to whisper his answer before falling back in step behind her.

"I like being with you, Elle."

The light came slowly, gilding the coiling stone staircase with a breath of amber. It grew brighter with each step, and soon Elle's silhouette was visible against the glow. She no longer needed to feel her way, and one hand dropped to soothe the ribbon that caressed her.

"We're almost there." She smiled back over her shoulder, face outlined by the light pouring from the open hatch visible at the top of the stairs. She slipped up the ladder first, regretfully parting from Asra's touch and the golden ribbon. One slender hand lowered back down out of the light to guide Asrafel up.

The room was warm, heated by the sun that poured in through the western window. Huge windows surrounded them on every side, floor to ceiling...a perfect view except for the obstruction of the huge lantern and its cast iron swivel in the center of the chamber. The plants, however, were as remarkable as the view.

The sun was setting, they'd made it just in time. Some of her loveliest plants bloomed at dusk, though she was sure that pleased her more than Asra. Through the steam that gathered on the windows, the horizon was a wash of pink and gold...colors that seemed bland when compared to some of the creeping blooms.

Pots, baskets, boxes, and jars...strange plants nestled in all of them, arranged in every direction. The delicate ones were hidden under bell jars or thick veils, nestled among the legs of the machinery.

"This is my green house. All the plants I can't grow...or shouldn't grow...in the Villa, I tend to here. I come here often, to relax. To day dream."

She stretched out one hand toward Asra, eyes lifting for the first time to seek his face.

What did he expect to see when he reached the top of the lighttower? Certainly not this. High above the ground, the last thing he thought he would see would be so many plants. His ribbons reluctantly all returned to him as the light filtered down, and once he'd reached just over the ladder, his eyes widened slightly in surprise.

He felt a wash of warmth and heavy scents settle on him once he entered, and took a deep breath before looking around. His head had just turned when he noticed the hand outstretched to him, and looked up quickly to see Elle. He gave her a bright smile, and took the hand offered.

"I couldn't think of a nicer hideaway to spend your time with your private thoughts. It's so warm, too.. will it be this warm even when the days get colder?"

He took what few steps necessarily and was in front of her in a heartbeat, intertwining his fingers with her own. Beside them on his left, there were flowers bending in his direction, and he fancied that they were bowing courteously. He was almost inclined to tip his head in return, but instead just admired how beautiful they were. He feared touching them, for any number of blossoms could be so delicate that a human's touch would kill them. He knew nothing about any of them, and wasn't about to take chances.

His eyes turned to Elle, through a halfway side glance, and he smiled gently. "It's breathtaking."

It was unclear whether Asrafel was really talking about the lighthouse-turned-greenhouse, or the sight he looked at when he spoke. Or, perhaps, both.

"Most of them are dangerous, or I'd pick one to settle behind your ear."

Elle smiled as their fingers intertwined again, and lifted her free hand to his face. Brushing back a soft fall of pink, she stroked his cheek gently. In the distance, the new lighthouse down the cove suddenly blossomed to life...the glow still faint against the radiance of the sunset. This one was never disturbed, left as a landmark, or relic of the past.

Instead of folding her skirts under her, Elle brushed the split open to either side. Settling down bare legged, glad the stone was warm, she led Asra down as well. "It stays warm until just before morning. Right when the steam would turn to frost, the sun comes in again through the eastern windows."

The sunset grew richer with every moment, and though it had been Elle's original intention to share it with him, she found she couldn't take her eyes from Asra. Leaning to the side, gently against his arm, she debated for a few long eternal moments about her next words.

"Even more beautiful than the sunset is the moon rise...the silver light over the waves. If you'd like...and if we can keep each other warm...we could stay here tonight and watch it together."

Her amber eyes were bright, lips parted as she waited for his answer. There was nothing she wanted more, in truth...but she didn't know Asra's heart. Elle didn't need to coax his feelings from him silently, he would share them according to his own will.

"Would you like to stay with me?"

Asrafel turned to look down at where he was settling down before extending his legs out slowly and curving an arm around Elle while she rested against him. He was a little awed by how warm the room was, and glad for it. The fairy reached up and brushed back locks of Elle's hair from her face, pausing for brief seconds when his fingers brushed against her skin before continuing.

His fingers had barely paused against her cheek when he listened to her words and let them sink in. The offer was undeniably appealing on so many levels, but the only one that seemed to matter made his body temperature rise enough to think the room had turned drafty. Keep each other warm, indeed.

He dropped his hand and wrapped the arm around her waist slowly, without saying a word. Something instinctual had kicked in, somehow giving him not only the courage but self-assuredness in his actions. He wasn't worried about rejection. He wasn't worried at all.

He bent in and brushed his nose against her neck, still not answering her question. In fact the silence after she'd spoken stretched out, broken only by the sound of their breathing. He straightened up and found himself face to face with her, his head cocking just slightly, in a surprisingly innocent little gesture; not unlike that of a pup suddenly confused. His eyes betrayed his innocence however, as did the little smile that suddenly blossomed on his face.

It was clear that he really liked being here with her.

He bent his head in slowly, just enough to brush his lips against hers in a tease. Finally he answered her, in a whisper that she would feel more than hear, as the warm breath of his voice kissed her lips.

"I'd love to."

Elle relaxed as his arm encircled her, breath catching as he brushed her neck. A deep contentment had settled within her. It was an amazing feeling to have...everything. When her eyes next opened, Asra's lips were just a breath from her own, and he closed that space with aching sweetness.

The smallest smile tugged at her lips at his words. Everything fell into place with perfect harmony, and without a second thought she leaned forward, still smiling. A long kiss, this time...something deeper than the brush he had hinted. One hand lifted to his chest, settling over his heart with gentle grace.

Her fingers pressed with silent promise.

As selfish as it was, Elle wished the sun would set just a little slower. The world could spin without her, just for a while...she'd stay right here.

Something felt so right, so familiar about the moment she pressed her lips against his, that an unexpected feeling of nostalgia swept through him. Of course, this body had never been kissed before, but that didn't seem to stop it. He fell into a lovely sort of spell that dictated his actions for him, and with each action he felt more content with the moment. His hand lifted up to press against hers as it touched his chest, and when she leaned in to deepen their kiss, he wrapped his arm tighter around her and tugged gently on the hand he held, while leaning back and taking her with him. A moment later, he felt the warmth of the lighthouse floor below him, and the warmth of Elle above.

It was the most pleasant circumstance he had ever found himself in.

He sighed softly in contentment and tightened his grip around her, his lips parting to kiss her in a way he hadn't even known he could. In fact, he was about to find out there were plenty of things he didn't know he could do, that he would manage, very, very well.

It would be better if the sun never came up at all.

((Haha no wait.. wait for it.. NOW the PM action begins. XD))
