Shikamaru got hit by the kunai but it was not him it was a subsitution jutsu. The subsitution turned into the log and the real Shikamaru was behind Trance and said, "Shadow Posession Jutsu" He smiled and it would no doubt hit him becuase he was only four feet from Trance and Trance didn't know he was behind him.

trance smiled as he was still in the air and the jutsu didnt work as he landed behind shikamaru. "eight tirgrams two palm, four palm, eight palm, sixteen palm, thrity two palm, sixty four palm" he said as he hit sixty four of shikamarus chakra points. trance jumped back as he laughed

(you have a shadow now don't you though. If your in the air i can still grab your shadow and hook them together right and you can't stay in the air for enough time to throw kunai, let me use subsatution jutsu, and use shadow posession)

((yes you can stay in the air long enough to throw kunai, they do it all the time in naruto, duh and you cant do that while im in the air but you can subsatution jutsu if you want but you cant do it like all the time))

Shikamaru lucklily was still in his subsitution jutsu. He was really right in front of trance. He waited to see what Trance did before he did anything else.

trance smiled at shikamaru as he began to spin in a circle. "eight trigrams great hevenly spin" he said as he sphere of chakra surrounded him. the sphere knocked shikamaru away from trance

Irene opened her mouth in disbelief, then summoned her shadow posession jutsu to hold him where he stood. She was going tomake sure she got some things through. "Listen buddy! I am no ant! I could fight circles around you. I can't believe you would make such accusations about me before you even know me."

Shikamaru was bounced back away from trance and he didn't know what to do. He started to meditate once more to think of a strategy.
(Benevolent Rose, he was thinking you are a pipsqueak and an ant but he said you are the problem and weak and small)
Kankuro laughed and said, "You? Beat Me? No way so lets fight." Kankuro was still stuck where he was but he had a plan.

Irene stood on the other side. She took a deep breath to get rid of the anger. Frustration was never good in a match. Irene then took her fighting stance, where she simply faced sideways and kept her hands to her sides. "Fine then, let's do this!"

Irene ignored his attitude and started running toward him. Shadow posession wasn't the only thing she had up her sleeve. Irene threw a single kunai at him.
