Kira shook her head. "No, I never got a chance to go visit Celadon while they where there. I had a lot of studying and work during that time, since it fell right in the middle of mid-term week. Did you go? Was it good?"
She pulled out a dust rag, grabbing one of the chairs and pulling it over to the cabinets, standing up on it so she could dust off the top. She made a really disgusted face as she looked at the now solid gray rag. "Oh my goodness... this is absolutely nasteh..."

Diana laughed and grabbed the broom leaning against a nearby shelf; standing, she started dancing around the room a bit, mimicing some of the chords the bass guitarist had done.
"Oh dude, they were awesome! Then again....they are always awesome!"
Diana stopping playing the broom and started sweeping the pile of dirt and stale leftovers into a tipped-over trashcan.
"I went with my boyfriend....." She grinned slightly at the memory; it had been their one-year anniversery date. "It was a lot of fun.....geez, I miss him to pieces."
Noticing that Kira was staring at her (She had missed the trashcan completely with the brief trip down memory-lane) Diana quickly swept the stuff into the bag and ran back over to finish cleaning the carpet stains. Face bright red, she grinned at her best friend: "What?! I'm sorry, but I can't help it......"

Kira chuckled at Diana. "Don't worry about it. It's cute that you have someone. I broke up with my boyfriend of one year about 9 months ago... still haven't bothered with dating. As much fun as it is to flirt and everything, my grades suffered whenever I got upset with our relationship. It'll be hard, but I'm planing on not bothering to date until I'm out of college."
She made a face as she turned the faucet to the sink on, rincing out the dust on the rag. She didn't want to shake it and release all that dust into the air. "I hope you're not allergic to dust..."

"That kinda sucks.....I really hope you find that special someone soon."
Finally finished with that stains, Diana put away her cleaning materials and moved to help Kira with the dusting.
"It was kinda weird.....how we met, I mean...." Blushing slightly, she started the wipe the thick bundle of dust off the television. "I was actually having problems getting my soda from the machine outside of the Academys' arena. He came up from behind and sucker-punch the machine; when I finally got my soda, I turned around to thank him and....well...it kinda clicked. We've been together ever since."

"Awwwww!" Kira giggled. "That is just too cute! I hope you and him stay together." She sighed, finishing up the dusting on the cabinets. "My ex and I.... we met in math class, and it started by passing notes and being really good friends. Even after breaking up with him, we're still keeping in touch and are pretty good friends."
It was her turn to blush brightly. "I guess it's not the same being single though, there are those days I wish I had someone special...."

"Hehehehe, I still have that soda bottle too; It's hanging on my wall near the Telly in my room."
Finishing up with her portion of the dusting, Diana glanced around the room and noticed that they had gottne a great deal of the room clean. "I wonder what we can do next.....?"
Perking up at Kiras' statement, Diana turned and grinned at her friend.
"It's good that you guys are still friends, even after a breakup. I would be torn apart if that ever happened between Joey and I."

Kira chuckled, leaning against the nice clean counters. "I'm thinking we can go cushion diving.. see what we can find between the cushions in the chairs..."
She giggled, hearing about the soda bottle. "That... that's so cute! Not to mention sweet!"

"Nah.....personally, I think we should follow Haydens' advice and get out of here. We finished cleaning so......we shouldn't get into too much trouble, right?"
Just as she was about to say something else, voices could be heard approaching through the slightly open door. Panicking, Diana quickly shoved the cleaning supplies back into the closet and flopped down on the couch.
"Kira! Hurry! Look casual! Someone's coming!"
Grabbing a magazine (Which, thankfully, was about famous pokemon trainers) she quickly looked as though she had been lounging around there for some time.

Kira let out a small yelp in surprise and quickly grabbed the rags, shoving them into the closet. She then grabbed another magazine off the tables and groaned loudly. "I'll trade you..." She said as she hopped up onto the counters. "This is all about cosmic and make-up..... geeze, who really reads this?"

"No way! I like this magazine; it's the only one, besides Pokemon Sport, that I read!"
Laughing, she tossed in Kiras' direction and grabbed another issue from the table. "Here, go ahead and take it....I want to read it when you're finished though!"
Opening it, Diana casually flipped through the magazine until a particular article caught her attention. Eyes widening, she took a closer look at the name mentioned and gasped in surprise.
"Oh...my....gosh...! It's....it's an article about the world-famous trainer, Ash Ketchum! He's traveling to compete at the Orange Islands! It says....." She mumbled the words to herself before reading them out loud.
" He says that he is looking for trainers to challenge him....and....perhaps to help them with their training as well!"

Kira sweatdroped and just gave Diana a blank stare. She didn't really care for the 'hip trainers' and couldn't figure out exactly what was so cool about them. "Excuse my lack of enthusiasm... but I don't exactly have the same undieing passion for pokemon fights as most people do." She gave a small laugh. "I prefer to see them in their natural habitat..."

Spurred into a rare good mood by the evening's events, the janitor wasted no time in striding down the hall towards the Lounge, despite the young guard's obvious attempts to stall. He even went so far as to be so helpful to the poor guard too! That's gratitude for you, nowadays.
Without hesitation, Phil arrived at the Lounge door and pushed it open, ignoring the cringing guard behind him. He smiled grimly, only imagining the chaos that was hidden within.

Diana just stared at Kira with the "Oh my gosh!" look, not believing what she had just heard. The need to rant complelled her to jump up and run about the lounge again, but she forced herself to stay on the couch.
"Kira! How could you- awww.....forget it. Never mind."
Turning over, she flipped through to the results of last weeks' race when the door to the lounge opened again. Sitting up and peeking over the top of the couch, she watched as Hayden (poor guy looked like he was ready to faint on the spot) and an unfamiliar older dude walked in.

Kira blushed a little, braiding her hair and keeping it off to the side to kee it from her face. "Sorry Diana.... It's just the field of observation I'm into. I'm sure that if I was into training and actually had a pokemon of my own, I would totally be into Ash and some of the Gym Leaders."
She heard the door open and leaned foreward on the counter to see who is was. As soon a she saw Hayden's face, which looked like he was going to have a heart attack, she smiled sweetly. "Hay Haden! Who's your friend?"

Hayden was torn between actually having a heart attack...or simply collapsing in relief. How in Sinnoh the girls had managed to clean the entire Lounge in that short of time, especially with the chaos he'd seen when he left...he'd never know.
But, for now, worry about keeping up appearances and covering for them all...
"Good afternoon, ladies. This is the head of the janitorial services here at CRONUS, Phil Butters. You may or may not have met him before."
Hayden's words were practically dripping with over-politeness. Anything to throw the gruff janitor off track and perhaps get the three of them out of this mess unscathed. To be honest, he was shaking so much inside right now, he thought he would be sick.
'Hold it together now, Hayden...'
