I've had the game for several years sitting on the shelf. I bought an escort squadron of Swords and one of Cobras a couple of years ago.
Only just now am I starting to paint up all of the Imperial ships... maybe a thousand points worth with the escort squadrons added to the original plastic imperial cruiser models?
I'm actually just about finished with my Cobras, and I have the rest of the fleet all basecoated and drybrushed and just need to do contrast colors and detail work.

Yay, Cobras were done, and now one of my cruisers is finished. 3 more imperial cruisers and 3 frigates left to complete, and then I can start on my 4 chaos cruisers.

Gothic seems rather interesting to me, but not only is there virtually no one else who plays, but I haven't the money for it. At least not with this job. sweatdrop

Its sad the models are expensive as they are when the rule book is free. Id like to play Eldar, and I even know more than one person who plays, though they live 900 miles away. Further, FW only makes a few eldar fleet products, so I cant even go with them for lower prices.

I've seen one game of BFG in the three years I've been coming to our FLGS. In contrast, I've played in two campaigns for Inquisitor, one Mordheim campaign, and I'm playing a Necromunda campaign right now.

Wow. I've only seen games of 40K, not even fantasy or anything. Then again, the wargaming community around here is constantly scattered into the wind, with no stable anything. That, and I'm new to the whole thing.

It's like that here too, no one play's Gothic, and it sucks. I wanted to start the game, but decided not to since no one else plays. Though, I might pick it up anyway, I love the models.

Damn Forgeworld for making such cool stuff and it costing so much. I've got a huge wishlist of stuff I want from Forgeworld and most of it will probably never get filled.

Figure for figure, FW isn't *that* expensive. It's on a par with GW metals. Kreig HQ compared to the Cadian HQ is my case in point. People only complain because FW "means" 500 dollars. People forget they also do smaller stuff which isn't overpriced - especially considering the higher quality of cast you generally get. I'm right in thinking that a GW BFG army costs more than a FW equivalent and looks worse?

I'm currently ordering a Tyranid Fleet from the GW online store, and fleshing it out (no pun intended) by adding some scratch-built ships from plastic. Once I get it in the mail, my fleet will contain 2 Leviathan Hive Ships, 2 Razorfiend Cruisers, 6 Stalker Drones, and 8 Vanguard Drones, plus a three or four scratch-built Kraken made from gaunts. I'm also gonna use a ton of toxin sacs and adrenal gland bits to make fighters and bombers for my fleet to deploy. I'm gonna make one hive ship purely combat based, with bio plasma, pyro-acid, and such; and then my second hive ship is going to be a brood-ship, with 4 launchbays and the claws and tentacles biomorph, so it can screen itself with fighters and then latch on to enemy ships for bording actions.

Hey, fellow BFG fans and interested ppl! biggrin
I have some problem here, I have a small Chaos and Imperial fleet, made by expanding the starter set. But, now I want to start a Necron Fleet... And I can find no place to buy the models crying , do I have to build them for scratch or something? I downloaded the rules for necron ships from the internet but would like to get my hands on some actual ships now!
Where can I find them? My GW says it can't order them, Forgeworld doesn't sell them, but there are pictures of them everywhere!, where do I find them?!

I'm working on setting up a bit of writing for my Space Marines, and I need some information on the crew complements of certain vessels.
Could anyone tell me the approximate crew of:
A Dictator Class Cruiser A Dauntless Class Light Cruiser A Cobra Class Destroyer
Appreciated, if anyone can find this information.
Also, does anyone know the capacity for fighters and bombers on the Dictator? I know it has decks for these craft, but I don't know how many it can house.
