"Goodness." Silphy said. The only relationship she'd ever really seen in depth had been that of Kylina and Samhita, the Captain and Navigator on The Silver Dream. "Love is a funny thing, then... Isn't it? I've never been in love, myself. The Captain is, though." She looked down at the sand. "Would you like to see The Dream?" She asked, suddenly. "Its an amazing ship."

"I've never been on a ship before," Gwendolyn said, happy to change the subject. Getting to her feet, she held a slender hand out to Silphy again, this time to help her up. "Show me the way?"
((Of course it's okay! :3))

Silphy took her hand, happily, and was pulled up to her feet. "Sure, come on!" She said, and bounced off on the way to The Dream.
( I'll make the thread and post two more times... Then I'm off to bed. XD )

"The long, shafty kind that have li'l prongs on them that allow 'em to open things." She smiled and let her usual sarcasm go for a bit. "It opens a box. I ain't sure what's inside it, but if someone made a map ta find it, it must be worth findin'."
Arron made a face at her that said "you're lying," but didn't say anything along those lines. She knew that he knew, and a whole mess of other conundrums. He focused on Marilene's question instead. "Well, currently it means nothing other than that she's a stubborn git."
"You better shut ye'r mouth 'bout me."
"Yes, ma'am."

The two watched the arguement, sharing a look. "So what are you doin' here?" Tangerine asked Arron, looking him up and down again. He had revealed a lot of information to her, so it made her feel more in control. Marilene looked innocently at Asherah, scrunching her nose in a snippet of annoyance. "If it's not an actual key, then what kind of key is it?" Marilene inquired softly.

"Ye misunderstan' me, Miss Marilene. That be a key I were just describin'." She was beginning to think that the blonde one might easily be the dumb one, but then... her captain was certainly competition for that particular position. Sarcasm seemed to blow right over their heads sometimes.
"We're still looking. Captain Smitte thinks that its here, since we passed it so many times." He glanced over at Asherah. "And I agree, though he is still looking in the wrong places."

Marilene frowned a bit, putting her hands on her hips. "Then say it with conviction!" She scolded; She wans't dumb, but very passionate. Tangerine raised her eyebrows at the mention of Captain Smitte. It was such a strange name. "What does said key open?" Tangerine inquired.
((Sorry if that's already been established. It's late and I forget~ I'll fix it later if it has. Sorry again!))

((It has, but I'll play through))
Arron looked over at Asherah. She never really had told them what this supposed key went to or why it was so valuable.
"The key goes to a lock," she said, looking nonchalantly at her nails. "An' the lock is on a box." She took great pleasure in giving simple answers to complicated questions.

The two girls sighed heavily, Tangerine rolling her eyes and gritting her teeth slightly. "Then why does it matter so much?" She asked, her voice the tiniest hint of anger playing in it. Marilene looked at the people around her, her beautiful face scrunched into a frown. "If she's not on your ship anymore... Then why are you here?" Marilene inquired of Arron.

Arron massaged the space between his eyes with his middle finger and thumb. "I told you: we ported. We're staying here to see if we can find this key somewhere. If you're wondering why I was in the restaurant, its because I was scouting the place for information, see if anyone knew about what we were looking for. If you're wondering why I'm here in this spot, well... that's got everything to do with her grabbing me and then being rushed out by you folk."
"Why does anethin' wif a lock an' key matter so much? And ye call ye'self pirates, honestly. Is not der box, so much as what's inside dat matters." She loved how describing the object that she wanted to steal could easily be used as a metaphor for judging a book by its cover.

Tangerine whirled toward Asherah. "I was just checkin' my facts! I'm yer Captain and ye don't back talk yer Captain!!" Tangerine hissed, trying to keep her voice level. "If you hadn't noticed, we're the only ones on your side and if ye keep up this you won't have anyone on yer side!!"

She smiled a toothy smile. "Ri' ri', I 'pologize. I musta fergot meself, Cap'n."
"If you know where it is, then where is it," Arron asked crossly, betting that she had it already, but knowing that she'd answer otherwise. One thing he'd learned about her was that she rarely gave a straight answer.

Tangerine glared at the girl, opening her mouth to say something but Marilene held up a hand. She was watching intently, looking from Asherah to Arron. "What if we told you we know where the..." She stumbled over the correct wording, but her Captain quickly took up the slack. "Whatever-is-is-yer-looking-for?" Tangerine, basically finishing Marilene sentance. She cocked her eyebrows mysteriously, feigning the knowledge.

"I'd be inclined ter ask how ye came 'cross dis infermation and-" Arron rushed in and covered her mouth with his hand.
"Can you hold on for just a moment," he asked the two girls.
"Look," he whispered to Asherah without waiting for an answer, "you're not exactly making friends here." She pried his hand off her mouth. "I weren't 'ware I was s'posed to be makin' friends." "No, but an alliance might help. You're in no position to make this trip alone, no matter how much you think you can." Asherah rolled her eyes. "'splain to me why I listin to ye again?" Arron smiled. "Because I return the favor by listening back."
They turned and faced the two girls again. "If you know where it is, then we'd have to ask if we could help you find it. Split the...erm... the 'booty,' if you will, four ways."
