Taking what you want out of it! What point?? I don't pity people that are stupid enough to think that killing themselves makes anything better.
Do they not think about the people that will be hurt when the person commits suicide, essentially making things WORSE?? NO BECAUSE THEY THINK THAT NOBODY LIKES THEM!!! I used to be depressed. They think THEY'RE HELPING people by killing themselves.
if they were helping, wouldnt they tell some one so that they would know that they were helping them? the person then could explain how they would hurt them rather then help, thus, making them LESS suicidle and have the will to stay alive for the sake of the person.

This is a debate, is it not?
Ignorance has nothing to do with my lack of compassion for people who think so lowly of themselves that they would kill themselves.
There is therapy for this kind of thing, and if they are unwilling to have it, then who am I to stop them? I'm not gonna feel sorry for some s**t somebody did to themselves, it's their fault, their choice.
Prove me wrong. Debate with me. People who are clinically depressed don't relize that it is selfish for them to take their own lives.
If you look throught their eyes they see it as they have no
one to talk to, no one to go to with thieir problems.
So the feel the only way out is suicide. Its the way they
releave the world of themselves. Because they feel like
they are the reason for people's suffering.
So in a way they think its the unselfish thing to do, because they have
the mindset that they are helping everyone including themselves. So what you're saying is, they're basically retarded? NO! You're totally missing the point!

javoury shadow is suicide selfish? I think it is the whole glass half full half empty. there is no true answer. It is and is not, as are all decisions we make in life. Depend totally on a persons perspective. It is if you think 'people could use your help, people need you' It is not if you think ' people will be better off without me, I am just getting in people's way. as a believer in life I am sure that eventaully most ppl will agree with the first outlook and not the latter. but until people find their niche, where they belong in life, they will feel as if the world would be better without them. Its not wrong or right, it's a belief. I think that Javoury is right. The problem is we've been looking at it on different sides. I'm looking at it on the people will be better off without me side, and he's looking at it on the people could use my help side. But like I said before, retardation is when you're slow, and depression is when you're sad. Everyone has a kind of mental issue in their brain, so if you're saying that depression is like retardation because it has to do with the brain, then everyone's retarded, including you and me. smile
