She saw something flash near by.
"so the king has sent his soldiers" she said.
Cloud took flight again and gave chase to it. They dashed across the sky fighting with all their strength. The kings soldiers had never been push overs but they were not invincible. In the years in the woods she had escaped them many times and managed to kill only one. She thrust feathers around peircing the soldier but it caused little damage. Her wind attacks kept it at bay and her use of a sword showed skill.
They flashed across the sky and bolted in front of the window.

"Her again!" Saku exclaimed, seeing Cloud and the soldier. Saku had seen Cloud a few times in the forest but they never talked. Saku ran outside and held up her dagger.
Ignoring the pain in her shoulder from all the sudden movements, she threw her dagger with all her might and it peirced the wing of the Soldier tearing a hole in its wing.

Kyo couldn't belive there was a creature stronger then a Daemos. He watched but stayed tense just incase.----------------------- He watched her fly up. He couldn't let her go into danger alone and sprinted the way the humans went. He finally came out of the woods and looked around. It was starnge. There were no trees to protect him and give him shelter. He sniffed the air and wrinkled his nose in disgust. It was musty. Ryuu kept sniffing and soon caught the sent of Cloud and darted off in that direction. He stopped behind a house and looked around for her. "Cloud?" Ryuu called out, barely a whisper.

"Fly lower!" Saku called to Cloud as she picked up her dagger. "I can help." She grit her teeth as her shoulder throbbed again.

The dagger that had peirced the soldiers wing was thrust back at Saku. Cloud dropped down in front of her and caught it with her hands before rocketing back up into the air. She wanted no one else involved in this fight. The soldier continued its battle with her high in the air. They crossed blades again and again the sound like shattering glass.
They moved faster and faster through the sky. It was hard to watch. It was getting harder for the soldier to fly. Both of them were near to the ground punching and kicking at eachother now. Their wings beat against eachother and the winds picked up a bit.
Cloud elbowed the soldier in the side of the face then punched him downward with both fists combined together. It slammed into the cement below. She grabbeb him again and threw him into a light post. The soldier was quick on its feet again. They battled upon the ground some more they became a tangled mess of feathers like two birds fighting.

Saku was furios that all she could do was watch. Who did Cloud think she was taking her dagger!? Saku had defeated all sorts of demons including a soldier! And Cloud thought she was better? Saku could tell she was human even if the wings were decieving. Fury raged inside her as she watched the two duke it out.

Ryuu heard the sound of clashing metal and the beat of wings. He peered around the house and saw Cloud fighting a soldier and doing good. He took out his sword and watched. This was Clouds battle but if the soldier did anything, he would cut in. As he watched a soldier came up behind him. Ryuu spun around and raised his sword to bloke the solierd's sword. They began to pair off in hard blows. The soldier's sword hit Ryuu's cheek, leaving a small cut. He grunted and ran at the soldier, sword raised and brought it down on his head. It cut the solier's head open and he fell to the ground, dead.

Finally cloud did a few clever movements and then thrust the dagger into the soldiers heart. She twisted it for good measure and it went limp. Cloud let it hit the ground and shook her head. The king would not be pleased to find one of his soldiers dead. Pulling the knife free of his chest she tossed it to Saku's feet. It landed blade into the cement before her.
"you shouldnt be fighting till you are well" cloud said "your shoulder is broken. Dont be stupid"
Cloud did think herself better than the others. She was one of the original three to venture into the woods. The knowledge of where the entrance to the other world was belonged to her and no one else. Suddenly the soldier turned to dust and vanished in the wind.
Her wings folded over her shoulders like a cape again.

Saku picked up her blade with a huff.
"I'm just fine!" Saku snapped defiantly. "I could have helped! I was the one who killed Daemos. Why didn't you let me? I've suffered worse than this." This a lie of course. Saku had never broken a bone before and it hurt like hell, but she'd be damn sure that Cloud never knew.

"you're a good liar" cloud said "you make yourself sound to cocky. Look i just didnt want you hurt further. I respect you for killing Daemos. That is not an easy feat but you are injured. Badly too. You should get to a hospital when you can"
There was nothing more to discuss. Cloud heard Ryuu near by and vanished into the air leaving behind only a few feathers. She caught up with her friend. There didnt seem to be anymore soldiers brave enough to venture into the town.
"come Ryuu" she said "lets get out of here"

Saku forced back a scream and stomped her foot angrilly. Bad idea. Her shoulder pounded in harsh reply. She sheathed her knife and walked back inside Kyo's house. "That woman..." Saku seethed. "Stupid high and mighty attitude."

Kyo watched. "Calm down. You just need to rest. I'll get you ice." He walked away and came back with a pack of ice. "Here." Kyo handed it to her.--------------------- The soldier soon disappeared and Ryuu whiped the blood away from his cheek. He looked at Cloud "Are you hurt?" He asked as blood driped down his cheek. He started to walked back towards the forest.

"no im fine" she said "its not the first time i've squared off against a soldier. Besides what ever wounds i have will heal. Tip takes good care of me"
She looked at his cheek and wiped some blood away. Tip buzzed over and healed it shut for him. Cloud smiled then wondered back into the woods.

"Thanks." Saku said placing it on her shoulder. "I love the forest." She said after a moment. "But the creatures inside often look down on me becuase I'm a human. They think I'm not strong enough to survive there. But that girl....She's human and even SHE acts that way. It makes me so mad."

"No proublem." He sat down on the foot of the bed. "The forest is wonderful. You sure she's human? She had wings."
