[Oh, the poison isn't anything serious. It'll just make you itch all day... and, thusly, give you a -1 to all your checks for the rest of the day.]
Settling quite comfortably on his seat, Sensei was oblivious, or at least pretended to be, of Kiketsu warning the others and Batosai's glare. Only when he picked up the 'kill' vibe did he look at Batosai. You could almost see the gears in Sensei's head working.
"Ah, where are my manners. Lunch good?" he asked with no change of inflection to his tone of voice. "Podo-san, could I have the regular, please?"
He glanced briefly at Kiketsu. "And who might you be?" he queried.

Hiru might not be the brightest kid in school but he did see the look Batosai gave sensei, and the fact he wasn't eating. That's when he put it all together, the strange kid's warning aboiut eating stuff, that hand he almost bit that got in the way of his meal, the weird ooze on the fish, yet, it was too late.
Something started bugging him, weird itches started showing up all over his body. Hiru did find the time to completely clean up his bowl before taking a first scratch, then a second, and a third.
"Come on sensei! What's that even supposed to teach us!?", he asked while scratching three parts of his body at the same time.

Podo smiled lightly and spun around and grabbed a green tea. Laying it down in front of the boy he dropped a spoon of sugar into the drink to help with the spices. "That should help cool your mouth of kiddo. Now to be hepin out ye sensei wit his food." Sliding down a bowl of ramen and to quick shots of saki and a green tea. All ninjas got free food for protecting the village and Podo didnt mind to much. He liked the kids stopping by and the stories they told were great.

Shin, having finished the race at full speed, came flying through the door. He flew forward a few moments before gravity took over and pulled him sharply to the floor. He hit with a soft thud and he did not move for a while. All the aches in pains he had accumulated over the past hour or so, the pain from the obstacle course, lapse and the run he had just completed all coming back at full force. Not wanted to injury himself further, Shin simply laid sprawled out on the floor and rested.Quote: Rest Post Hp + 1 | Hp: 10/20

"Thank you." the covert youth replied to the elder man. The tea had a delightful taste. Better than what the young boy had in the past few weeks. Once he made some money, the child would have to pay back the man. Not out of kindness, but it was the polite thing to do. Just like his next action.
Kiketsu only kept his poncho and straw hat for the rain. He wasn't hiding his unique looks from anyone in this village. Considering he just witnessed a boy who looks more like an ocean tiger than a human, Kiketsu's own unique traits shouldn't be much of a bother. As for someone knowing him. That was doubtful. The events of his life transpired months ago and far from this village. So to be courteous to the man with his bandanna and gloomy brown eyes. Kiketsu removed the straw hat from his head.
The magnolia skin, orchid dreadlocks, and bright green eyes were revealed to world. The boy's face was unmoved by the action around him. He did take note of the child that tripped and was on his face next to his feet and the shark- like boy who was itching like he rolled around in poison ivy.
"Good afternoon. I am Kiketsu Dakatsu. And your name would be?" he boy stated boldly with no stutter in his voice. His upper torso also gave a slight bow to the man before him.

"It's to teach you not to take advantage of free food," Sensei replied, with a smirk on his face now. "And to watch what you put into your mouth. That could have been something much, much worse and you know it. Poison is a quick, easy way to kill someone."
He caught the bowl of ramen with a deft hand and gave Podo a small smile in return. "Sake too.." he said warmly, which was a tone that the students were probably foreign too. "You spoil me, Podo-san.."
Just as he was about to eat, however, there was a disturbance at the door. Sensei looked over to said door and was quite surprised to see Shin on the floor like a new rug for the store. He was just about to make a smart remark about that to Podo, but stopped himself. The boy had worked pretty hard, after all... it appeared that they had a race and Sanabi was probably catching up. A competition partnership was always good..
"Ah, Takamura. Welcome. Take a seat."
And then he turned to Kiketsu. This kid was certainly unique... and not a native of Kirigakure, it seemed. Sensei had never seen those body and facial features before, but it may just be his lack of exposure. "...I'm the teacher of the academy," he replied. "They call me Sensei."
No one was permitted to use his real name... save those with links to his past. Not yet... Sensei wasn't ready.
[Hmm... Jericho can RP as if it was before Sensei started to talk about it XD sweatdrop ]

"That's not fair...", he whispered.
Usually he wouldn't have hesitated to say it out loud, but he had to remember his clan's harsh training methods. Most Hoshigakis inflict upon themselves far worse during training, the harsher the conditions, the greater the outcome is what he had always been taught, and inflicted for that matter. For that one complaint he would have been severely reprimanded.
Hiru still wasn't as thrilled about this though. He kind of liked training easy... Overcoming his bruised ego Hiru asked Sensei nevertheless:
"What do we do next? You wanna dump us at the bottom of the lake with iron balls and chains tied to our feet?"
The irony in this comment is that Hiru can actually breath underwater, yet it was still the best he could think of for a witty remark...

[Enter Sanabi]
Another thud sounded from the entrance's floor, as Sanabi entered a bit behind Shin with a limp. He overheard Hiru's comment about the iron balls and spoke with a hint of distain for the Sensei in this respect, "Oh... NO... Sensei would never do that!" he paused to seem and let the new boy off easy, but pulled him down again in an attempt to drive dispair into his heart, "He'd find something much worse! Perhaps give a poison that makes your veins feel like they are flowing with boiling oil... or cause your eyes to bleed uncontrolably! Sensei is EVIL like that, he fed us food on our first day that was POISONED! I had to throw up afterwards to get rid of the horic stomach ache attack! Whatever you do, DON'T accept food from him... I'll never trust him again..."
Sanabi spoke with complete ignorance that Hiru was poisoned already, and also completely lacked of knowledge that Sensei was present, however when he did relize this truth, he glanced over, and gasped in fear, "Ah- Um- S-Sensei! Hi! H-How are you today! D-Did I say Evil? I ment... um... l-lovable! Yes, completely lovable!"

Sensei's smirk softened. It had only been a joking smirk after all. He was about to reply, with something as smart as usual, but his attention was drawn to another thud. His eyebrows rose in surprise as yet another body fell through the ramen store door. So... Tategami Sanabi was finally here. That left two students... Oh, and that Fubuki boy. Where did he go off to... Oh yes... Sanabi was shouting something loudly. Sensei focused on him and caught the last few words from his mouth.
"I'm trying to instill a feeling of caution in you..." he said. "Free things are not always good. You should never fully trust a person of authority. Where do you think the Fifth Dawn was born out of?" He glanced at Sanabi and his mouth curved up a little. "I wouldn't give you such a potent poison. That poison was milder than this one, in fact. Just a starter." He paused thoughtfully, taking the opportunity of the pause to start eating his noodles. It almost seemed like his little speech had finished until he said again, "Besides, that dinner yesterday wasn't too bad... not that you were there or anything, Tategami. Care to join me today?"

Sanabi's eyes widened, "Uuuuuuh? I'll pass..." he said as he sat up, "I'd rather not push my luck with you... no offence I hope, but seeing I just managed to insult you to your face, I wouldn't trust you not to go after me as far as I could throw you." Sanabi frowned, making it appareent he was serious, he would not trust sensei anymore... not for anything.
He stood up at this point, and took a seat at a nearby table, floping down, and wincing once more at his scrapes he obtained from his fall. "Darn... I just had to scrape myself up like this..."

"Too bad," Sensei said and turned back to his ramen. Finishing it, he took out some academy papers and a schedule and spoke with his voice all business again.
"It's almost time for the next class. You'll be split up into two classes for the rest of the day. Those who are familiar with chakra moulding will stay with me. Those who aren't, I believe the new teacher Miss Cassie -" Something flashed in Sensei's eyes, and his breath hitched for a moment before continuing "- has something for you."
He leant back against his chair.
"Incidentally, eating fast is also an ability every ninja should have," he added offhandedly, with his arms folded.

The idea of learning to mould chakra made Hiru almost instantly forget the itching and his anger towards his sensei.
"Alright! I'm finally going to learn how to use chakra!" You heard that Batosai? We're becoming real ninjas now!", he shouted.
Hiru politely gave his empty poisoned bowl to the nice man behind the counter and turned back towards his sensei.
"Who's Cassie? Where is she? When do we start?" he asked jumping up and down with excitement.

Sanabi sighed, and looked at Hiru, "Miss Cassie, is Sensei's replacement. You know... the really energetic lady that busted through the door earlier this morning? THAT was Miss Cassie." He looked back at Shin, who was still laying on the floor, "You know, are you going to eat or what? As Sensei said, we have to eat quick, cuz our next leason starts soon... AND" Sanabi paused thinking up another competition to mess with Shin, whom he had learned, was driven by competition and chalanges, "You wouldn't want me to beat you there now would you? Hehe!"
Sanabi smiled slyly, "Unless you were just too worn out from facing me to do anything more." He shruged, once morwe showing a smart-a** smile, "I guess that meens I win! Since you're too weak to continue! Haha!"

Kiketsu looked between the sorrowful sensei and the goofy students. They were becoming vexing. The teacher because he had not given back a name. The boy thought of his folly for giving out his name first. He should have just said his name was 'boy' then. Well too late now. He'd have to figure out the mystery teacher's name another time.
The ever growing mass of jolly students was another annoyance. They couldn't be a little more quiet? Especially the shark like one and the child in the brown jacket. Kiketsu still kept his expressionless face within this small crowd. Since he did not know how to mold chakra he would have to go see this 'Ms. Cassie'.
Kiketsu knew of chakra and some of the basics of shinobi life from his sister. He could have learned more, but never decided to take advantage of her knowledge. The chance for that had long passed. He would have to learn on his own. Although Kiketsu didn't mind. Accomplishing tasks on his own isn't nothing new to the ivory skinned boy.
"Where is the class?" He asked the instructor among the rest of the students. He would have to begin there before being able to learn anything advanced.

Roll=11+3=14((Fail)) Jericho slowly stirred his ramen around then began to eat it. He heard something from the boy a ways behind him, but wasn’t sure what it was, and he didnt really think twice about what it was and continued eating. After a while Jericho turned to see what Batosia was up to and saw him giving a death glare to Sensei.
Jericho didn’t understand for a moment then looked down at his ramen. He wouldn’t…. Jericho thought to himself as he continued to stir his food around. He sat there quietly as he continued to listen to the rest of the conversation and let out a slow sigh as his skin began to become itchy. Damn it…. He once again thought to himself. “So what is it we are going to be doing for training?” Jericho asked Sensei curiously.
