As Maria was going to start with the song she felt something good about to happen and sang with excitement. She was excited to finish and to go back to the meeting place.

(I have my math exam on monday and I have a feeling I'm going to fail that test....)
"Hey am I the only one who noticed Kai's missing?" Max asked.
"Now that I think about it..." Johnny replied.
Kyoshi blinked moentarily forgetting who Kai was. She wore a thoughtful look as she tried to remember but nothing was coming to her.

Kai smirked. This was the perfect opportunity to surprise them - as he had done countless times before. He rather enjoyed doing that, even though it sometimes gave people the wrong impression. But then, since when did he, Kai Hiwatari, bother about what people thought of him?
"Maybe, maybe not, Mizuhara," he spoke before anyone else could say anything, eyes closed to hide the laughter that shined in them. "But seeing as I'm already here, I'm not 'missing' anymore, am I?"

Kai stood up properly - meaning he stopped leaning on the wall - and glanced around. The Blitzkrieg Boys didn't seem to be around anymore - well, except for Bryan. Why the other two had gone was unknown to him, but that wasn't his concern right now.
"So..." he began, arms still crossed over his chest. "As far as I'd heard, new teams are to be picked today." He glanced around once more for the balding Mr. Dickenson; if anyone could attest to the truth or falsity of this, it was the chairman.
"Anyone new here that I should be aware of?" By that, the slate-haired blader meant if there were any new participants vying for the championships this year and also waiting to be picked for teams. If it had been up to him, Kai would have preferred for a general demonstration in one of the larger training rooms in the building. Then he could make a decision about who would become his teammates.
If he were given a choice. But he wasn't even sure if he was a team captain or not, because that was the only way he'd be able to hand-pick his team.

{The long quiz is done. Finals are next.} As their work was done Maria ran as fast as she can to change and get back as she felt somehow who has come by."Hey Maria what's the hurry?" Ming-ming said seeing Maria rush out , but Maria was already gone. Maria then changes into her disguise quickly and runs towards the meeting place. She runs saying sadly"Why did I ever get chosen first in a team." crying
She then reaches the and suddenly stops at the door and removes the wig she used for disguise and fixed herself. She then calmed down to come in with a smile feeling very excited. She then came in and saw the blader she was hoping to see. Kai was the one she was hoping to see as he was the one who inspired her to be stronger and to beyblade. She then stood at a space where she could clearly see him.

Suddenly, Kai felt slightly uncomfortable, but he didn't show it. It felt as though someone were...staring at him. He turned to see a blue-haired girl looking at him from somewhere near the door - where he himself had been standing just a few minutes ago.
He turned fully and fixed her with his usual 'death glare' - at least, that was what Tyson had called it. Stop looking at me, darn you! he thought fiercely. If only thoughts could have been conveyed as easily as speech. And what is she doing here, anyway? Don't tell me she's one of the new participants... The slate-haired teen groaned inwardly at the thought.
When it seemed the girl would not stop staring, Kai rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to the rest of the group.
"Well?" he barked impatiently. He didn't have all day. Besides, the picking of teams shouldn't take this long...

Maria saw the death glare. She was not much afraid of it but felt the opposite. She blushed looking right at it, but she knew that Kai was bit annoyed at her.
She then avoid his eyes which made her heart jump more that she was going to react in odd fashion.
She stopped herself. Since she had no better thing to do she pulled out a red book out of her pocket and read it. Removing her glasses, Ancient Chinese Mythology was her distracrtion from him.
Occasionally she would glance over to him.

"Okay, why doesn't someone just choose captains and then the captains can choose, well as long as they've never been on a team with who they choose." Max asked he was getting impatient.
"Err, Kai should be captain for team four." Kyoshi blinked.

Hiwatari entered and Bryan sighed. He had to admit, he was actuallly glad to see Kai. For once... Now at least he 'knew' somebody in the room. Everyone else he just recognized by name. Bryan kind of wished Tala was still there. The pressure would have lessened. Why did he have to leave anyway? Oh yea, because of that girl arguement thing. Man that was stupid. Where was Kai when that happened? Finding the courage to speak, Bryan said, "I second that."

sweatdrop Signing that there is no absolute chance to be in Kai's team since she was already in a team,and she stared him that he was annoyed at her. Fortunately he didn't witness her encounter with Yuri.
She then pulled out a beyblade from her vest's pocket and looked at her white beyblade and though of how she would like to use it despite of the things her enemies don't know yet. Her beyblade was pure white and at the middle the bit was also white.
Hearing Bryan's appeal she looked at Bryan and was puzzled. Kai should be a captain basically for him to have the comfort of choosing his own members. She though of suggesting the captains quickly to suggest Rei and Gartland. She though hard to who should can be a team captain.

Kai allowed a tiny smirk to cross his features. He'd gotten what he'd wanted. And, according to Max's suggestion, the team captain would be the one to pick the members.
Perfect.
He studied the bladers in the room in turn, recalling what he'd witnessed of them in the stadium and in battles. It was just too bad that the teams had to be totally mixed up; he'd wanted Tala on his team.
Might as well take what you can get... he thought, going over the last few Beybladers, which included Tyson, Max, Hilary, and Daichi. He smiled to himself. He'd made his choices. But first...
"How many members are there per team?" the crimson-eyed teen asked. He wanted to be sure, because if he'd chosen more than his fair share of members, he'd have to choose who among them would be let go.
((Question: is everyone listed in the 1st post present, except for Tala and Spencer? Just making sure...And as for Kai not announcing his choices, he doesn't know how many there should be per team; he wasn't there when Mr. D announced it, right. 3nodding ))

"'Two tag-team matches and one normal, 5 in each team ' the chairman said so. Team 1 consist of Yuri, Emily, Jonny, Mystel, and Kioshi. Yuri is of course the leader. Team 2 is Ming-ming, Mariah , Kenny Spencer and me. Kenny is the said Leader Team 3 is Lee, Miguel,Julia and Bryan with Bryan as the leader, but he hasn't decided who's his 5th member yet" Maria answered having a strong urge to answer him in detail and again smilling.
Ming-ming is not present in the room also. Depends if other people join if they decide that their character/s is/are not in the room initially.

((I checked the first four pages - the ones where I wasn't part of the RP yet - and according to shadowdemon56-san, the room was 'crowded' when her OC first came in, meaning almost everyone is there. 3nodding At least, that's what I understood from what I read... ))
"Five, huh?" This was good. He'd thought there were to be only four members per team, and so had chosen three other bladers to be in his. But since there were to be five...
He went over the bladers in the room once more, disregarding those he'd already chosen. Hmm... Finally, he decided on the fifth and last member. He'd heard that she'd begun working as a Beyblading instructor at BBA stadium, and had watched her handle one session. She was rough around the edges, yes, but that wasn't something a little training couldn't fix. Besides, he was pretty sure she wouldn't be here if she weren't participating. And the other girl he'd chosen - who was a pretty skilled blader herself - would have a companion in an otherwise completely male team.
"All right." he began, eager to get this over and done with. "I've chosen the following as my team: Robert, Brooklyn, Mariam...and Hilary."
Kai had good reasons for his choices. Robert was a no-nonsense blader, and pretty level-headed; definitely an asset for a well-rounded team. Brooklyn commanded a powerful bit beast and though he'd once been under it's control, he could learn to resist it with time. Mariam was the 'other girl' he'd chosen; and though Hilary was technically a rookie, she'd learn. Also, hadn't it been her who thought of the 'back to basics' training program when Team BBA got the magnet core Beyblade series and were having problems controlling them? That showed she had a good head on her shoulders, another asset for the team.
He waited for any reactions from the other bladers, if any were coming.
