Brook answered her cell phone, knowing what this was about before he even called. "Hello?" She asked, plunging one finger into her ear so she could hear him and so he couldn't hear anyone else. She walked away from Katana so he wouldn't hear her, should she decide to talk.

"My neice. Well, both future and present really, but a dem- a you know what- is after them." She told him, making it sound as though she was at a resturaunt in San Francisco, and someone was looking at her funny.

((It's cool, I've been working like a mad person. So I haven't been on 24/7. I won't be on until late late late [like 10 pm-12am tomorrow night] I love being employed

((Aww... yea, I have. I kind of ignored gaia for almost a year due to one of them... [on an old account, that I deleted]. But, yea don't worry about it. No biggy, I have some kind of patience. I can wait.))

"Alright. Well, I'll come get you. I'll be there in a minute." She said, hanging up the phone and dark orbing out after sensing wherever Austin was for anyone else.

A few demons shimmered and smoked into the lair. "Sir, we uh... had some complications with the capture."
((Hope you dont mind me taking credit for the attack))

"What the ******** to you mean by complications?" You could see a vein bulging in his neck, and his fists began to glow hot, as if about to burst into flames.

"Brook...sir...." They were becoming too scared to speak. "...she, uh... stopped us."

"Someone else was there too," another chimed in, as if to lessen the humiliation of their loss. "A demon...o-o-or so I thought-think." He wasn't able to form a coherent thought after Matt shot him a glare after chiming in. "a-a-a vamp-pire I think......... sir."

"Austin." Matt eased up. He figured it was Brook's attempt to get Austin to trust her. "Go! Leave my sights before I vanquish you. Failures... every one of you!" He still had to look all mean and tough to his minions. "I'll call you if I need your pitiful excuse for help again." He turned and walked over to a table, where his own, new, book of shadows lay. It was a magical copy of the one Jon had. Matt, himself, had cast a spell to keep the book from leaving the house. Before he left to live with Katana, he wanted to make sure no evil could steal it. Little did he know, he would become evil in the process of stopping Shadow, and since Jon was there to keep the Levi name good, the Levi Book of Shadows stayed good as well.

Brook cringed as she was healed in a painful manner. It wasn't healing but she was wrapped up and transfused with blood, magically. "Matt, how do you expect me to explain that I lost the kid and I'm going to need my powers back." She told him, forcing herself to stand.

((A thought just occurred to me. Did you have a plot twist in the works with the atheme not having your powers?))

"You idiot..." He tk'd the atheme to his hand and tried to access her powers. "What the..."

He tried to summon the demons he used to attack Jess, but no luck. "Katana!!"

She faded in beside him. "hmm?"

"What happened to the demons that attacked the baby?"

"dunno."

His fists were begining to glow red hot. He had been double crossed by someone. "Go! Find me those demons."

Katana faded out without saying anything.

Matt walked back over to his book and began looking through some spells. Once he found what he was looking for, he began chanting.

((I dunno what your twist was, but I almost like it better lol. Matt's using a spell to summon your powers, so you can use that as an opportunity to get them back. And the demons Matt hired werent really working for him, so I think you can still use your twist if you want to.))
