*frown* Alexi? Did you send the Phalanxes back? Suddenly I seem to have a bunch of them on hand. o.o Or does the 'reinforcement' checkbox not do what I expected? 'm so very confused...
I don't think I can actually do that, Ellie. I certainly didn't mean to, if I did. But all I've got watching over my stuff is five axemen and a maceman right now. At least, that's what it tells me.

In fact, I never saw them show up. confused
... now I'm really very confused. I must've botched the send somehow, love. sad

That's alright. I'm sure we'll figure something out. *hugs*

All I know is, I have figure out the attacking part pretty effectively... whee

It's not like you don't have other people to eat, Balc. xd

Ok, I had joined earlier, but really neglected it after my net connection was out for two days. New village is at -43/159. Went with the Romans this time, too. Should I be working up the clay pits before the iron and wood supplies?

Work them all up equally, for the most part. Build a cranny, but don't bother with anything else until your newbie protection runs out.

By the end of the week, all of my resource spots should be at three, and my fields at four.

Still getting raided by Kgattitude. Building my cranny up just encouraged him to send MORE troops. gonk

Damn, I need Praetorians leik whoa.

You guys still want me to keep my hands off them? I'm almost ready to rape and pillage on my own....

It was a glorious slaughter! I lost....five guys. Poor village (the guys who preyed on me...once) lost 15 between legionaires and macemen. I have to laugh. Loudly. My men are joyous, and covered in loot upon their return! mrgreen

It is clear to me that axemen are superior infantry.
I am happy.

Well, all of my fields hit level five today, and I'm working on building a palace. Let you know how that goes.

Quote:
Palace level 1

The king of the nation lives in the palace. The palace may only be built in the capital city. The higher the level, the more difficult it is for enemies to conquer the village.

Train | Culture points | Loyalty | Expansion

In order to expand your nation you need culture points. These accumulate over time from your buildings, and faster at higher levels.
Production of this village: 85 Culture points per day
Production of all villages: 85 Culture points per day

Your villages have produced 666 culture points so far. To found or conquer a new village, you need 2000 culture points.

Palace has four sections.

Train =
Quote:
To train more settlers or conquer new villages you need a palace level 10.

This village is your capital

Costs to upgrade to level 2:
705 | 1025 | 960 | 320 | 1 | 1:27:50
Too few resources

Culture = first listed

Loyalty =
Quote:
Attacks by senators, chieftains, and chiefs can lower the loyalty of an enemy village. When the loyalty reaches zero, the village joins the attacker's nation. The loyalty of this village is 100 percent.

Expansion =
Quote:
Villages founded or conquered by this village
Village Players Population Coordinates Date
No new villages have been founded or conquered from this village.

You're a beast.

My culture point total tends to agree with you, surprised !

Also, 1/3 of the way towards being culturally advanced enough to make a 2nd city = Yay!.

Aside from that, knowing your culture, Palace is probably not worth building at this stage.

Don't be shy about making someone a Sitter for you. Even better, trade Sitter declarations so that when one of you is offline, the other is most likely online.

That's a fantastic idea even.

Also, I'm almost to the point now, where my resource fields take longer to build than it takes me to gather the required materials to build the next field. surprised ! Seriously though, 2 hr build time for an iron mine = blargh.
