I have that Unicorn poster, a dragon poster, and a poster with cows that says "Got cookies?" That my sister gave me. ^^ Oh, and a Newtype pull out of Excel from Exel Saga, and she's nude with bubble bath just covering the pr0nz bits is taped on one side of my bookcase, while Sora from Kaleido Star is on the other.

When I was in middle school, before I was sharing a room with my sister, my walls were covering in posters, mostly of Harry Potter and Johnathan Taylor Thomas, and some of my lame drawings, left over from elementary school and I had never bothered to remove them.

And when I finally was sharing a dorm with a friend rather than crazy hormonal strangers, I had a picture of Alan Rickman and all my favourite drawings strewn over my wall.

I like my room now.... I think it looks slightly better without Harry Potter, but I'm sure it would look slightly better with a trippy poster of Alice in Wonderland character's using illegal substances and posters of pin up girls. I should ask my dad who his favourite pin up girl was when he was younger.....

I have yet to see much of Excel, I mostly put her up to send a message to my parents, they seem to have not caught on yet.... but I loved Puni Puni Poemy the one time I saw it. ^^

funny, I did that with a poster from Maburaho (swimsuit) and Full Metal PANIC! (main character in an unbuttoned collared shirt and underwear) and mother dearest didn't say a word. I wore rainbows and sparheaded the Day of Silence at my school and all sorts of other fruity things, but she never caught on until I painted my nails rainbow.

strange.

Hmph....... it's like she has no clue.
Mostly it's my dad I'm worried about, he friggin' hates gays, and I don't think he even believes in lesbians.
I have rainbows all over, a shirt that says I love Boobs, I own Brokeback Mountain, I celebrate Gay Pride month, last year I even drew a rainbow and wrote Happy G.P. Month on our driveway [which no one seemed to notice], and if they just LOOKED through my graphic novels and literature maybe they could figure it out.
I told my Sunday school teacher at church I liked girls 3 years ago, when he was hardcore down on homosexuals...... even the other mothers think I'm gay. My mom though, she's like 'Naw.....'

But at this point I think she'd rather me like girls than old men though.

Better than a fling with your brother. 3nodding

June 28th, mark your calendar. It's the 38th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, said by many to have been the beginning of the Gay Liberation Movement.

I'm curious. How did you realize your rainbow flavour? Nobody's ever really told me their story, so all I have is my own experience and a few stray anecdotes. Would you mind telling me?

I'll share my story, if you wanna know. sweatdrop

Jeez, I don't really have a story.
I have no clue.
The closest I guess I can come to was I was talking to a friend about how stupid boys are, and then that friend was like "Maybe you like girls." And I was like.... "o.o NO WAIZ! DOZ FREAKY GAYZ GO TO DA HELLZ!!!111!! IT SAIZ SO IN DA BIBLE. READ IT SOMETIME YAH? AND I WANTZ NO PART OF DEM! D<"
And then like 2 years later or something I mentioned it to another friend and they were like "Well, maybe you do." And at that point I had started thinking very differently about God and the Bible and thought 'Maybe I do. Whatever.' And then I got to know this girl Natalie, and she was just great..... ^^

Hmm.... quite round about, and not all that helpful. In fact, I think it seems rather random and irrelevant to what you asked. s**t. But that's about how it went.... sweatdrop How I figured out why I love skittles. XD

Maybe Mr. Apathy would have been more helpful on this? He is the Homo fairy, after all.... heart

[clueless=dumbass]Go ahead and share your experience though, if you'd like. Maybe you could, I dunno, help me know what you mean by sharing my story.[/dumbass]

I actually remember the moment, exactly.

A bunch of friends and I had gone over to the elementary school to play hackey-sack, right? Because the elementary has a blacktop that the highschool doesn't. So I hackey-suck at hackey-sack, and was just in the way, so I was just watching. And there was this girl, Lisa. And I had made friends with her on the first day of school. She was in my PE class for the first trimester, and in English with me, too. So I walked into PE on the first day, not knowing anyone, because I'd come from a different middle school than the City schools that everyone else went to, and she was the only person sitting alone in the bleachers, so I said, "Hi. You look like you don't know a soul in the world." and she said she didn't, and I shook her hand and said, "Now you do." Well, we became good friends, and I was always WOWED by her. She plays like, 6 instruments, and sings, and is just amazing, right? And so there I was sitting on the elementary school blacktop halfway through Freshman year, thinking about how cute those pipeline jeans were on her because they made her look tomboyish, and I thought, "Why am I thinking about her so much, anyway?" and I followed a logical train of thought and finally thought to myself, "Well, I must be bisexual." Pause. "Alright." And i got up to embarass myself at hackey-sack.

She came out to me months later, and I came out to her a few months after that, and then a long tim after that, I told her that she was the girl that made me realize I'm interested in women, and she made the cutest face. But anyway, I'm not her type, so... sweatdrop

looking back, I can see the evidence in my childhood... but I won't go into that as it's slightly disturbing.

Awww... the closest thing to any of those stories is... It was a while back. It was during high school. I went to ask my friend out on a date, she was one of the coolest girls I've ever know. To bad she was a lesbian. D: Four months prior to me asking her, she turned. I was a little sad, but got over it and just joked with her. The one thing that stands out in my mind the most was what I said to her. It was probably the dumbest thing I've ever said, but it's pretty funny now that I'm thinking about it.

Those magical words that I happened to utter were: "If you ever decided to change your mind and go straight, give me a call. You got my number."

Good times.

Sorry, it doesn't work that way. rofl

I've been trying for two years to convince this girl that homosexuality is not a choice. I don't want to get into that, but JEEZ it's so FRUSTRATING.

Lordy Lou, I know what you mean. D< My Dad and a lot of people who went to my high school could not be convinced that one has no control over sexual preferences. ********, it really is frustrating, I'm getting mad just thinking about it. XD

But yeah, as far as first girl crushes, I don't know about that, but I remember Natalie. At first I didn't much like her, a skeevy pal of mine had a thing for her so she ended up stealing my seat in art. It wasn't until we started talking that I began to like her, she was really sweet, and a year behind me in school. She really was quite pretty, I have a thing for freckles and she had lots of them and curly brown hair that fell in ringlets and it all came together with her clear blue eyes. She was so pretty, but she had a boyfriend and stuff, but she would send me pictures of her blowing kisses, and she always hugged me when she saw me, it wasn't until the following year when her boyfriend and her broke up that she was like "Ashley... will you be my girlfriend?" Of course I said yes, she was adorable, I mean really, who would have said no? But she was a school friend, not someone I saw out, or called or anything, so yeah. That was the extent of it. sweatdrop

I know that lol. Like I said we were pretty good friends... so it came out more as a joke, than serious. I saw her a couple of months ago. She's still doing good and still gay xD.

my first girlfriend... well, the story is just the opposite of yours, I think.

I was friends with this girl, right? And she threw a co-ed sleepover for her sweet sixteen. Her parents were church folks and completely oblivious to what happens when you let a bunch of teenagers sleep in the same room. Anyway... we all maintain that there was something in the cake, because some reaaaally weird s**t went down that night that probably wouldn't have otherwise, but I won't get into that. The end result was that the girl whose birthday it was asked me out. we went on two dates: one to a football game and one to see A Sound of Thunder. Parents are funny. Hers never suspected a thing when I'd show up at their house, let myself into Amanda's room, and she'd close the door. Making out on a Johnny Depp bedspread with a crucifix in the hall? Good times. She dumped me for a younger guy, but we got back togetr after she figured out how sketchy he was, and then she broke up with me again, I don't remember why, and then we got back together again at a football game, and then we broke up again, and then I went home with her at winter formal, and we slept on the couch sharing a blanket and her parents didn't wonder why, and hen we never went out again after that, and our friends forbade us from getting back together.

Rocky.

Cheese whiz, that would drive me crazy. My best friend has had an on-again-off-again relationship that's spanned two years, and all the bullshit that's gone along with it has made me think all or none as far as relationships go. I mean damn. Rocky indeed.

Although I did have to snicker at how CLUELESS her parents seemed. Worse than mine, fo' sho'.
