‘Never knew you’re the violent type.’ Semella stated in a concern voice.

From her spot, Rislin redirected her attention to the feien addressing her. ‘Violent? Just because I showed skill with a blade?’ Since her receival of the rapiers, Rislin has spent much time practicing with them. At the moment, both were resting against the wall next to her as she sat fidgeting with the string she received and some metal beads she had found in a box of crafts Lori kept. The time feien had wanted to make a carrier for said rapier, which she could wear like a backpack. ‘I have to disagree that one could possibly be related to the other.’

Semella was resting on Shux’ bed, petting whatever random pixapet that was nearest. Shux’ room continued to be the spot of gathering out of habit and was the biggest. ‘Weapons can produce danger in the wrong hands.’

‘Are you insinuating that I am mentally incapable of welding a weapon? Anyway, a hand could be a weapon, shall I cut off yours?’ Rislin retorted sarcastically. She wasn’t in the mood for Semella’s logic being used in a improper place.

While in the middle of placing new objects she received on some shelves, Shux listened in on the ping pong conversations her flat mate were having. It was her room after all, and it was their fault to bring their quarrel there. ‘Let Rizzy do as she wishes. You couldn’t change my point of view. What makes you think you can change her?’

The ancient huffed, feeling like she was being ganged up on. She wanted to scream. How could they make her feel like such an outsider? Why was this all happening to her?

Shux laughed as she saw the expressions on Semella’s face. Rislin, too busy looking at her attempt at a carrier, didn’t bother paying attention.

Message Delivered
A large green bird attempts to find purchase on one of Lori's windowsills, its spanned wings making it difficult. Giving an irate squawk, Watchweyr at last is able to situate herself with a small scrabbling of clawed feet.

She remains on the windowsill a moment, cocking her head to look at this and that within the dwelling before ruffling her feathers and bringing up her foot, giving it a sharp shake and dislodging the folded paper that had been tied there with a bit of black string. Her task finished, the bird withdraws from the sill and takes to the sky again in a flurry of wings and flash of elegant tailfeathers.

The piece of paper lands, unfolding to reveal a note and an item, waiting for someone to find it.

It was a quiet day in the Riddle house. The three feien inhabitants quarreled over the fruit bowl, each demanding they get the best piece.

‘Just give it to me. You know I deserve it. I’m the smallest. I need my feeding.’

‘Actually, you don’t. As a juvenile you don’t need nutrients from food like we do.’

‘She’s right, you know.’ Shux supported Semella in her statement. The two adults had consumed more in a day than young Rislin had.

Preparing to continue arguing, she was interrupted by noticing a weird bird by the window. But as quickly as it appear, it had gone. ‘Strange…’ she muttered. With a new train of thought, she took off to the window and began to try and open it.

‘Rizzy. What are you doing?’ curious as to why the small feien would leave randomly in the middle of a conversation.

‘Big bird. There’s a message it left down on the porch.’

‘Message? Maybe it’s from Arith!’ Shux excitedly rushed to the window to help open it.

Once the three feien managed to get a crack in the window big enough, Rislin squished through to retrieve the message. Upon arrival, she began to read the note. With disappointment, she handed the letter over to it’s proper recipient.

Shux tilted her head softly and began to read it happily out loud.

In impatient spidery handwriting, it reads:

Talonfaust
Shux,

I believe this grudge has been carried as far as it can. I've not seen you since we were both children, I imagine you've grown up by now as you appeared older than me at the time of our first "meeting". Much has happened since then and I'll spare you the details of it as our respective lives are our own business. What it has come down to is this -- I no longer see a point in hating someone I met fleetingly and a single time.

To explain my behavior that day: I suffered badly from insomnia and night terrors as a child which put me on an emotional hair-trigger. Any small nudge in the wrong direction would set me off. That day, you happened to get caught in the crossfire and, if not you, it would have been someone else, though I realize that is not an excuse. For my part of that incident, I extend an apology.

I've enclosed a peace offering and you may do with it as you like. Keep it, burn it, whatever. You have no obligation to return this truce and, in fact, I will go so far as to say I don't expect you will. Just know that this letter has marked the end of my animosity toward you.
~T

After she had finished reading, she held up the fan and examined it. She wasn’t given the chance for long as Rislin snatched it from her.

‘T? Who’s that.’ Semella never heard of Shux speak of her past before she had come along. Had she an enemy?

Shux frowned, trying to think of whom this person is. ‘T…I have no clue.’ she gave an embarrassed look. After the arrival of Semella and Rislin, most of the other feiens she had met before hardly left enough of an impression for her to remember. Excluding Arith, of course.

‘It probably stands for Talonfaust. Makes sense.’ Rislin interjected testing out the fan’s quality.

‘Talon…faust. Why does that sound familiar?’

‘Apparently you had a disliking for this guy. At least that’s what you wrote.’

‘You’ve been reading my journal?!?!’ Shux questioned threatening.

‘Oh please. What did you expect? Not like you hide it well or anything.’

‘I expect some privacy of my thoughts. Have you been snooping in my stuff?’ the darkness feien turned to Semella.

The ancient stood confused at how this is possibly her fault. ‘You’re blaming me? Last thing I need to do is upset you more Hisa.’

She did have a point, Shux thought. ‘I guess I should write him back. I’ll chat with Lori first about how to send a message.’

And with that she left her two flat mates standing where they were.

The room bussed of florescent lights as Lori spent her time getting ready to go out. Two of her feiens, Shux and Rislin, argued over items their humanbond kept in her make-up bag. A plastic container of 12 different eye shadows laid open in front of them.

‘You should wear this one.’ the time feien pointed at a forest green. ‘It will bring out the pretty green in your necklace.’

‘Yeah, I’m sure they will be looking at that.’ Shux sarcastically responded. ‘You should go with gold. It will put more focus on your lips.’

‘I was always told my eyes were my best feature.’ the human looked in the mirror, carefully putting on some soft pink lipstick. ‘But gold it is, I really don’t want any of my make up to stand out tonight.’

Sticking her tongue out, Shux laughed cause she had one. She stuck the palm of her hand in the forest green eyeshadow, then quickly shoved it in the loser’s face.

Rislin coughed, caught off guard by Shux’ actions. Her face covered in the dust shaped of an adult feien’s hand, glared daggers at the feien across from her. ‘Ugh. I’ll get you for that Seven.’

The darkness feien fell back lauging at what she had done. She didn’t fear Rislin’s wrath. It was worth no matter what cost. ‘So what are you planning on doing?’ the feien asked curiously, looking at some lip liner.

The human did not respond, but continued to put on some eyeliner. But the flush of her cheek betrayed her.

Noticing this, Shux had dropped the pencil and began questioning her bond. ‘You’re going out with them!’

‘Not them. Him.’

‘The blonde?’

‘Tobey.’

‘I don’t trust him.’

‘It doesn’t really matter what you think, now does it? I’m the human, you’re the feien. I’ve lived a bit longer, that should make me more educated in making my own choices in life.’

Shux, ready to start, was quickly interrupted with two small hands running some think, sticky substance in her long white hair. Gasping loudly, the feien touched the stuff, sniffed the residue on her hand, tasted it and shouted. ‘TOOTHPASTE!!!’

A flash of purple could be seen zooming out of the room.

: biggrin ay 151 ~ 17 October::

Irisa flew into the shop, feather pen and papers in hand. She wondered if there would be any feien, today. She was in a cheerful mood, but then, she tended to be in a cheerful mood. Sure, it had been a while since she's actually seen other feien, but at least it allowed her to get a lot of research done. ...actually, it was easy to be cheerful in life when you were happy both while you were alone to do your work and while you were in the company of others, so long as the situation didn't call for too much talking.

Not that Irisa wasn't going to have conversation for the sake of being polite, but she did rather try to find a general purpose for all things including conversing.

She wondered if there were any other feien that were into research and what their area of study expertise was. Well, before she could find that out, she'd obviously have to go meet some others. So she entered the shop and landed on the table, ready to see what field work could be done and see if she could meet anyone else were around that day.

After pacing around her room for the past hour worried about Shux and what activities she could possibly be up to, Rislin had decided it was best to take a visit to the shop. Without her friend around, the time feien grew lonely. Maybe Val will be there, or another feien for her to befriend. Either way, anything would be better than staying at home.

She made her way through the crack the window of the shop left open. She had never been to the shop, but Shux had told here this was where she had met Arith.

The time feien found the counter to be a good place for some rest as she scanned the shop for others to chat with.

Irisa had been writing random thoughts into her notes when she reflexively peered up to notice the new feien entering the room. She stared at her in silence for a bit as she flew over to the counter.

The young feien wondered if the other feien had seen her. Well, Irisa had to admit she had her reservations about just... randomly going up to others and greeting them when they might have been at work with other tasks, but she knew she'd never get anything accomplished just writing random thoughts. ...okay, actually, she would (she made sure that even her random thoughts would have a point to them) but it wouldn't be AS productive.

So she finally flew over to the other feien and landed, a small but cordial distance away.

"Hello." she politely greeted. "I'm Irisa. I'm just staying around the shop to meet some new feien and see if there may be any new data for my magic research. I hope I'm not interupting anything."

Be prompt and state your business while being polite. Displays of emotion could be reserved for emotional times that warranted them.

Rislin cocked her right right eyebrow as the feien named Irisa introduced herself. 'No messing around with you is there? Always a good quality.' She tilted her head looking at the feien before her. 'You're not interrupting anything. In fact, your goal is similar to mine. Minus the gathering of research. I'm Rislin, by the way.' the feien held a hand out to complete the proper introduction.

She turned her head softly to look around the room. 'Have many others shown to be your test subjects today? she questioned. It was new information to her that a feien would be interested in studing her spieces. But now as the topic had been brought up, it would be useful to know more about her kind.

"Good day, Rislin. It's a pleasure to meet you." Irisa cheerfully bowed.

Rislin sounded... scientific. Irisa smiled. 'Test subject' was a rather strong word to use. It sometimes fit in all technicality, although Irisa was careful not to use that terminology around other feien if she thought it would offend them.

"I haven't been able to see any feien besides yourself, today." the young feien continued. "Actually, my research only recently started. I've so far been able to observe however that magic only seems to be rarely used by many feien in the shop in the run of normal daily activity, but that might be because the feien I've met so far have a low genetic affinity towards magic."

Irisa paused. Hrm... come to think of it, that was quite a mouthful she just said, wasn't it?

"Er, yea." Irisa shrugged, her smile a bit more embarassed. "Sorry about that. I'm kind of new, myself."

Giving a soft smile to the feien, Rislin listened to the points she was spouting off. The appeared to have good intentions with her research, which was pleasing to the time feien. If she was assuming that this knowledge would be put to good use, Rislin was more than happy to help with whatever she could.

'Do not worry about being new. I am the youngest in my household. I live with two other feiens. I'm sure I could give you much information that you may need for your research. Possibly even ask them to have a conversation with you personally.'

She immediately sat down, and adjusted the two rapiers on her back so they would not interfere with her position. Motioning for her company to join her, Rislin continued. 'Magic doesn't seem to be used much in my household, like you stated. I do not know much, none of which are of my element's magic. The only magic I have seen used is by Seven.'

Rislin was young like Irisa, too? Wow, it certainly was nice that Irisa could meet all these new feien who were young like her. It did make her feel a lot less... alone. Not that Irisa minded loneliness toooo much but she rather enjoyed the various different interactions that could be gleamed from in life.

"Why, thank you. That would be very helpful!" Irisa gratefully nodded at Rislin's offer. "I'm hoping to at least contribute to maybe someday restoring feien magic to the world. Not that I know what life was like for feien in the past, but I imagine that it'd be... nice."

She smiled. Nice... nice because then situations like feien left parentless or detached wouldn't have to happen. Not that she needed to burden Rislin with the original incentive for her task. Besides, it wasn't the only one and Irisa's bond was neither mean nor cruel, and her fairy godmother was very nice.

She could only begin to imagine what the world was like in the past but Irisa wasn't willing to devote time and resources towards discovering that. At least at the moment, time and resources used in discovering the past were time and resources that could have been used towards building up the future.

At any rate, best not to waste either her's or Rislin's time and resources.

"What element would you happen to be?" Irisa asked curiously. "My own element is actually a dual of earth and cold, although I haven't been able to figure out any spells beyond the simple starter ones. Is Seven a feien?"

Raphael entered the shop...a bit lopsided, really. One of his arms held a ginormous (feien standards, anyway) ice cube, and the other arm was held determinedly behind his back. He gave Irisa and Rislin each a polite smile as he walked in through the window.

The enthusism the feien had was refreshing to see. 'I am glad to hear that someone has good intentions with their research. Hopefully you will accomplish all that you wish. It would be very benefical to the rest of us, I'm sure.' She did note however, that Irisa did seem to have a lot on her mind. She hoped that the feien would not go crazy over her work.

'A duel element? I haven't heard of one of those. That's fascinating. The ability to have even more power. As I said before, I have yet to master any spell other than the basics. I have been informed that my element is Time. And that only one other possesses such an element. I do wish to speak to that feien at some point in my future. As for Seven, yes she is a feien as well. She is the eldest of us. Even though there is another who is considered an ancient.'

Rislin noticed another feien walking by with an ice cube in his arms. It was a strange site to see as. It slowly dawned on her that this feien was familiar to her, as she met him at a pool party a few weeks back. She smiled in return. 'Hello again. What are you doing that for?'

"There's an ancient in your household?" Irisa blinked. "That... must certainly be something."

'Something' was rather vague, but Irisa didn't know how else to describe it. She didn't know much about the ancients, but obviously they were special and there must have been a lot to them. Irisa figured that she'd love to meet that ancient sometime, but right now, speaking of special...

"At any rate, being one of only two feien with an element sounds really intriguing, too." the young feien smiled. "Having the dual elements for magic power is nice, although both earth and cold are rather common elements. I wish you luck with your own discovery of your elemental abilities."

Not that Irisa was really looking for power, heresay, although achieving power had the indirect effect of giving her more to work with for her research, which worked well for her. She imagined that having power would be very convenient when it came to lots of things, anyways.

The feien joined Rislin in watching the new feien that had entered the room. She saw that feien before and heard his name, but they never really formally introduced. Still, they at least saw each other before, so she kindly waved her own greeting. But she wondered what he was doing, too.

Rislin nodded. 'Yes. She's not much different than me or Seven. So we hardly notice her as 'special' or anything.' Which was true.

'Yes, I hope it turns out well. I wish you luck with you magic studies.' She sighed softly, thinking about what questions she would ask if she were researching magic. She stood up abruptly and began to excuse herself. 'Sorry, I must leave. Hopefully we can continue talking about this at a later point. Maybe I'll even bring one of my flatmates along.' She gave a slight nod and left the shop.

Irisa waved goodbye as Rislin left the shop. A time feien who knew an ancient feien... and Rislin herself was pleasant company. There were a lot of things to learn and a lot of nice people to meet in this world...

The feien had been on her own for four days now. Food supplies were getting low and she was beginning to get desperate at finding more to keep her strength up. Her nights were spent sleeping in parks near benches. She brought along pieces of cloth she snatched from Lori’s collection for a mock pillow and blanket. Even thought it was fall, the weather still stayed slightly warm at night, so the poor feien wouldn’t wake up frozen.

During the days, she jumped from tree to bush to whatever objects were on the streets. Hiding from people did not prove to be too tough since most humans were too involved with their own lives to notice a fairy flying around.

But her luck of hiding would not last for long. Eventually she was spotted by a family walking home from a dinner together at the corner restaurant.

‘Oh look! What a strange creature.’ the woman nudged her husband in the ribs. The rest of the family, consisting of a son and a daughter, also turned to look at the subject.

Shux had hidden in a bush when she realized the woman was referring to herself.

The son got on all fours and began reaching his hand in the bush, grabbing around ort he small feien.

‘Kelly! Get away from there!’ the woman batted the child away from the plant. ‘You’re scaring the poor thing to death. I think it’s lost.’ She softened her voice to a soothing mellow tone. ‘Deary. No need to fear. We mean no harm.’

Shux slowly rustled herself to the top of the bush. Adjusting her feet on top two thin branches, the soft wing swayed her as she spoke back. ‘I’ve never been around human children before. My human bond never speaks highly of them. In fact, she hopes to never have any herself. I’m sure that is the reason I do not quite trust them.’

‘Oh you can speak.’ the woman said amazed. ‘But then again I’ve never met a fairy before.’

‘That is understandable. Many of us don’t make contact with many humans. Maybe they are not prepared to handle us.’

‘Do you have a place to stay fairy?’

The darkness feien shook her head, but still cautious of the strangers. ‘I have decided to take a trip away from my family for a while.’

With a grin on her face, the woman turned to her husband and began to speak in a hushed voice. After many minutes have passed with the two children trying to poke and prod the feien, the woman spoke again. ‘If you like, you may stay at our home. We have plenty of food and I’m sure a pillow will do as a bed.’

Nodding, Shux thought of the invitation They appeared nice, but so had the two men in Lori’s eyes. Trusting her instincts, the small feien accepted the invitation graciously. ‘Your offer is very considerate. I would be happy to stay with you as long as you will have me. I apologize. I have yet to properly introduce myself. My name is Shux.’ She bowed.

‘Well, that’s a unique name.’ the woman giggled gently. ‘I’m Victoria. My husband, Patrick and our children, Kelly and Shawn.’ she introduced each of her family members.

‘Mommy.’ the girl whined. ‘Can we keep it?’ She tugged at the skirt of her mother.

‘I’m sorry, Shawnie. She has a family of her own, but she has agreed to visit us.’ she cooed, picking up the child.

Shux watched the actions of Victoria to the child. She was loving, tender, caring. All things that never appeared within her own home. The feien took off from her spot on the bush and landed softly on Victoria’s shoulder. After taking hold of the woman’s shirt, the family lead the feien back to their home.

‘Where’s Xaria?’ questioned Lori of her two feiens. ‘I haven’t seen her in a few days. The human sat at the kitchen table eating a bowl of Lucky Charms, a favourite since childhood.

‘She took a trip away.’ Rislin bitterly spat. One of her purple rapiers out as she poked at a bit of cereal. Soon she found it most satisfying to chop it up to crumbs.

‘Hmmm. You’d think she’d tell me at least. *sigh* But it was bound to happen. She had been threatening it for some time now.’ Lori scooped another helping of cereal into her mouth and crunched loudly.

‘That’s it!? That’s all you’re going to do? You should go looking for her!’ Semella yelled at her human bond. She bit at her clawed nails as she paced the table. ‘Honestly! She should have gone and talked to someone about it. Or at least taken someone with her.

‘I have faith in Xaria to be fine. As far as I remember, she always had a will of her own. But if she doesn’t return within a week, I’ll send out noticed of her disappearance.’ The human believed this to be reasonable, since the feien had informed her flat mates of leaving.

‘A week? So much can happen in that time. She could starve. Or be killed. She’s probably been ran over by a car.’ The ancient took to wringing her clawed hands as she spoke. This did not do anything to calm her nerves.

Lori sat in mid-bite watching her feien freak out unexpectedly. She frowned, wondering why she could be so panicked over this.

Rislin stayed with rolling her eyes at the mental ness of Semella. Sure, she was concerned about Shux as well, but she wasn’t about to throw a fit over it. To the time feien, she believed this was a waste of her time and the efforts could be put to something productive. Like learning more magic. She thought of Irisa’s study efforts on the subject.

Frustrated by her concerns being underestimated, Semella stomped and huffed before taking off to anywhere except the kitchen.

'Shux.' a child’s hand poked a pillow attempting to rise the feien from her slumber. 'Shux.' she hissed again. In her hand she held a soda cap full of messily chopped fruit. 'Come'n Shux.'

The feien moaned quietly in discomfort. Blinking her scarlet eyes to get the sleep at out of them, Shux peered at the clock at the wall. '6:30? Shawn, it’s too early to be up and eating. Why don’t you put it in the refrigerator and I’ll be sure to eat your breakfast when I get up.'

'I’ve been up for sooooooooooo long. You lazy. Wake up!’'the child finished with a shout. To a five year old, waking up earlier than the others in the house was a common event. After all, her bedtime was 8pm. 'Pleeeease? No one else wake up for me.'

Shux’ scarlet eyes glanced out from under the blankets to see the child’s pouting face. Guilt soon began to wash over the feien. How could she let the child be sad? The darkness feien sat up and gave the child a warm smile masking her sleepiness. Taking the cap with gratitude, the feien took a mangled piece of grape and nipped at it. The fruit was horribly smashed that it was unappetizing to the small feien. Her facial expression tired to keep the child oblivious to the fact she was disgusted by the food. Luckily for her, the child did not notice.

The two spent the rest of the early morning watching Saturday morning cartoons, until the mother awoke and began to make breakfast for herself and her family.

Victoria gave the feien and the girl the simple task of stirring the bisquik batter with eggs and milk. Stirring carelessly, Shawn eventually got more on the two of them rather than in the bowl. Victoria chuckled as she took a wet dishtowel and wiped the batter off her daughter’s hands and face. With a kiss on the head, she sent Shawn back to the living room to finish watching cartoons, which now Kelly had taken up.

'Would you care for a bowl of water to clean up with?' The human asked Shux as she turned to the faucet.

The feien scrunched her face as she touched the sticky batter on her hands. 'Just turning on the faucet should do fine. I have to admit, it’s better than toothpaste.' She flew to the sink and began washing after Victoria did as requested.

'Toothpaste? Have a bad experience?' the woman chuckled once more as she resumed to the stove, frying up some bacon.

'Yeah. Another feien in my household, Rislin, she…well, got in a playful mood deciding it was cleaver to put toothpaste in my hair.' she smiled as she spoke to the human. But the thought of Rislin saddened her as she began to realize she missed home. Clearing her throat, she continued, 'I think I should head back home after breakfast. I’ve stayed too long anyway. I can have my human send payment for the intrusion.'

Victoria waved her hand at Shux. 'No, no. We don’t need payment. Having you here was fun. You must come back and visit us. That will be payment enough.'

'Are you sure? I mean…of course I’ll come back to visit.' the feien mopped her white locks with a dishtowel. Once dried, she sat on the counter, legs dangling over the edge, and eyes glued to what Victoria was doing. She was saddened at the thought at leaving since she enjoyed being off somewhere new, but she wished to be able to share this experience with both Rislin and Semella. Maybe when she comes to visit again, her two flat mates will want to join her.

Breakfast was delicious as Shux chatted with Victoria about feien life and what she knew so far about her race. With every question Victoria asked, Shux realized how little she really knew. Kelly and Shawn fought over which cartoon was superior, Sponge Bob Square Pants or Digimon. The war seemed irresolvable since neither side appeared to want to budge. Patrick took to having his meal of pancakes and coffee quietly while reading the morning paper.

After they all completed their meal, Shux informed the rest of the family of her plans to return home. Naturally, Shawn cried at this announcement believing that Shux has belonged to them and not Lori. The feien tried to comfort the girl, explaining she will come back to visit when she could. This, of course, was not satisfying but Patrick took matters in his own hands and explained the situation better.

The feien gave her goodbyes to each member of the family, tearing up a little with each one. They lead her to the front door and waved as she headed home.

Still slightly pissed at Shux' for her self discovery, Rislin entered the shop hoping for some more pleasing company. She stood by the window, where she entered, looking to see if there happened to be others already there. Luckily for her, there was. Deciding a good place to start, she took to the counter and scanned the scene before introducing herself.

Ankou snorted softly, kicking away from where he sat. What good was it to talk to someone who wouldn't answer? Flitting off, he headed for the window, away from the crowd on the shelf. They were all fawning over the blind one, and that meant that they likely wouldn't want him around.

The time feien eyed Arith, wondering who she might be. In fact, her appearence seem somewhat familiar. As if this was someone that had been described to her previously. She made note to talk to this feien at some point.
She noticed instead another feien flying off on his own. Maybe this one would be good to introduce herself to. 'You there!' she called at Ankou.

"No, you THERE," Ankou replied, pointing down to Rislin as he perched on the windowsill, curled feet kicking idly. "Me here." He pointed to the sill where he was sitting.

Rislin perched an eyebrow at the feien's comment. It took a second for her to register what he meant my his words, since they came off different that she was use to. Then again, what she said wasn't clear as well. Maybe he believed her to be inable to communicated properly. She took off in the direction of the window sill from which she had just came. 'Yes, well I can see that clearly. I meant that as a phrase to catch your attention. No matter.' She stopped before him still in the air. His appearence was unkept and awkward. 'I am Rislin. Whom might you be?'

"I might be Nostradamus," he replied, grinning from ear to ear. "Or I might be someone else." This was FUN. "Rislin, hmm? My name is Ankou. I'm surprised you didn't go over with the rest of them," he said, nodding towards the throng on the shelf.

'I'm not one to follow crowds. Sure, this may be a place to meet others of our own kind. But it appears there is some kind of weird love fest going on in the general vicinity and I choose not to participate in such activities.' She finished with a twist of bitter in her tone. Cocking an eyebrow, she turned the tables on him. 'Well Ankou, what keeps you from going to the crowd?'

"The blind brat is one of my bonded's other feien. He doesn't care for me much, and the feeling is mutual. He can stay over there, I'll stay over here." Shrugging, he leaned back against his hands, bracing them behind him.

'You come from a house with more than one feien?' Rislin was intrigued by this. 'I have yet to meet another who comes from a multifeien household. Most here seem to be the only of their kind bonded to their humans. Not many can understand the nusance that is living with others like youself.' She was glad that there were other feiens that could understand this life situation. Maybe they could tell her how to deal with the problem better.

"There's three of us where I come from, and the fox is already talking about maybe getting another one. Like there's not enough of a fracas going on as it is." Snorting faintly, Ankou glared up at Shalafi. "I just hope that old fool's 'prophesy' comes true. Then I won't have to worry about them because they'll be dead."

Rislin snorted. 'What are the odds. Three in my household as well. But no talks of a new one yet. But I have a feeling one of my flatmates wishes to breed with her friend.' The time feien glanced over at the crowd. 'Dead?' The word snapped her attention quickly. 'What do you mean by this? Why would feiens be predicted to be dead? Are they murdered?'

"Because I'm death," ANkou replied, grinning almost ferally at Rislin from where he sat.

The time feien blinked at Ankou's words. Death? She had never heard of such a feien. She snorted disbelievingly. 'Death is too powerful of a event to give to something so small. I mean...to give death to someone who has the ability to be judgemental...it would be...could be...horrific.

Growling softly, Ankou turned to glare at Rislin. "You act like you know it all. Ask the ancient sometime... the one that was afraid of me and nearly pissed himself when he saw me. HE told me what I was, I didn't just make it up."

Rislin smirked as she seemed to hit a nerve of Ankou's. 'Tsk. Tsk. No need to be so testy. Is one not allowed to express your thoughts around you? No wonder you're alone.'

"Your thoughts are one thing. Stating that I'm an idiot simply because you don't believe me is another." Ankou turned in a huff, winding his arms around his knees and glaring towards the knot of Feien.

'Excuse me? I do not believe I ever stated that you were an idiot. Otherwise maybe you would have valid reason to be upset. But I will not deny that I don't quite believe you.' she corrected the feien. If she was going to be accused, it should be at least for something she actually did.

"Believe what you want, I don't care. I know what I am." Ankou didn't bother looking back towards her yet, instead focusing on the two newcomers over by Shalafi. An adult... and something that looked like a trainwreck with a paint set.

'Right...' she muttered. 'Well then, I know when I am not wanted.' She thought it would be best to leave the feien on his own, since it appeared that is what he wanted. She didn't feel like home, so she went over to the pile of other feiens. Maybe they would be more promising in converstaion.

Rislin looked around at all the feiens, seeing if she recognized any of them. None appeared famliar. She took to the two feiens conversing, the white feien and the bi-coloured red and blue feien. She was much shorter and had to look up. 'Hello.' she stated.

Nero blinked and glanced down, only to find himself greeted
by an entirely new Feien. The Memory Feien's smile only widened as he swept Rislin a quick, semi-graceless bow."Hello!" he beamed, rising. "I've never seen you before! I'm Nero."

"The page," Div snapped peevishly. Why in the WORLD was plain, boring Nero receiving so much attention when breathtaking Queen Div was RIGHT THERE? She snorted with disdain.

Arith nodded, chuckling a bit at the sight of the little clip she had given to him as a youth. Looking around she smiled to the amethyst shaded youth floating around them, with a small wave. Looking back to him, she cantered her head."I upgraded to flowers really, I have a small garden at home that I tend to with my bondmate. If you want, I can offer a flower whenever their fully bloomed and ready to cut" she stated, with a chirp in her voice. The smaller white feien showed pride in her doings.

Rislin's attention turned to the feien that snapped. She became interested in her, since she had a rare quality she had only see on one other feien. 'Who are you?'

And another! Offering Rislin a slight wink, Nero turned to Ian and smiled, idly pulling a piece of hair over his shoulder and running his fingers through it. "Hi Ian. Been a while," he said, perhaps a bit too cheerily.

Things still felt slightly awkward, but it wasn't Ian's fault. Nero was just... well, Nero, and thus he was weird. Then he turned back to Arith and grinned broadly. "That'd be wonderful! I love flowers. Not many of them grow around the labs - what with the radiation and all - but if you could spare one, I'd really appreciate it. The labs could do with some color, anyway," he chatted.

Div was beginning to look exasperated. "I'm your queen, fool!" she snapped, placing her hands on her hips. Her wings buzzed with fury, so fast their sharp movements were almost a blur. "Queen Div, the Mighty and Beautiful!"That being her full title, of course.
Still, the appearance of this Feien intrigued her. Arms shifting to cross over her chest, Div raised an expectant eyebrow, as if she expected Rislin to grovel. "And you are?"
Ianios nodded. Yes, yes it had been a long while. He smirked when the talk turned to flowers. "Arith, how's the gardening coming?" His was coming along nicely, with the addition of more.

Aria bit her lip, not really knowing who to talk too. Too bad Maq was there. She blushed, thinking of him. Turning her thoughts away from the heat Feien, she spied the purple Feien. That was different. "Hello," she called to the young one.

Rislin laughed at the self proclaimed Queen Div. 'Queen? I"ve never heard of royality for feiens. Of course, there seems to be a lot of things I haven't heard of today.' she stopped and thought about this point. She really did know little about her kind, but wasn't being here suppose to help her learn more? 'My name's Rislin.'

Arith gave a smile and a wave to Ia, giving a little "hello how've you been since last month, Ia?" to him as she shifted her attention to the younger feien, the amethyst youth. Cantering her head and setting her hands in her lap once more, smiling. Looking her over once, she finally settled happily on introducing herself and answering the youth's query. "My name is Arith, it's a pleasure to meet you my dear." Thinking for a moment, she asked "What would your name be? I don't think I've seen you prior to this." Her voice was sweet in welcome, but evidentally unaltered by magic.

Stealing a glance to Nero breifly, she nodded happily, lifting her shoulders a bit. "I'll make sure to remember that then when they've bloomed and are ready then, Nero. I have a wide variety, and if it wasn't for Nerpin, I'd probably had a lot more than I have now..." she trailed off, shaking her head.

Shalafi glared towards the screeching voice, curling one wing around
Xathriel. "You are NOT a queen. There's no such thing in the Feien."

"Consider thyself enlightened," came the dry reply. But at least Rislin didn't immediately shoot down her (true) claims of being queen! That scored the purple Feien points.Smiling pleasantly as Div had one of her infamous moodswings, the "Queen" extended a hand towards Rislin, expecting her to kiss it. Or put her forehead to it. Or something! Hmph. Any sort of gesture of respect would do, she supposed.

"A pleasure, Rislin. Tell me, do you already belong to a court? I need more Feien to populate mine. Perhaps you would be interested in being a lady in waiting?" Div offered generously.

The time feien smiled at Aria. 'Hello.' she replied quickly to not be rude.

But soon after, the white marked feien greeted her as well. But something she said struck something in her memory. 'So that's why you looked familiar. You're Arith. I'm Rislin. Seven is a flatmate of mine. Umm, you may know her as Shux.'

Nero laughed and ran his fingers through his hair. "A bothersome bond, I'm guessing? Ah, well. Plants are wonderful because they can always grow back, no? And thank you so much!" he chirped.

Hearing Shalafi's reply to Div, Nero winced, and prayed that Div didn't hear it. He didn't think she did. Sighing with relief, he offered the others a slight wave and drifted slowly over to Shalafi and the shy Feien clinging to his wing.

"Hello," he said softly, and offered Xathriel a slight smile. "Am I interrupting anything? If so, I'll go."

Rislin's attention turned from Arith to Div. So many feien, no wonder Shux did not wish to get out often. She took Div's hand and shook it, since that is all she thought one does. Handshake. 'I do not belong to any sort of 'court'. Of course, I don't know what you mean by that. In fact, the whole thing is confusing to me.' She watched Div curiously.

Such appalling ignorance! This poor Feien was in need of a good queen to educate her on such matters! After all, this girl had just shaken her hand. People did NOT shake the hand of a queen."A court is full of people who do the queen's bidding and spread gossip and do other naughty things," came the surprisingly patient reply. "The people are called courtesans. If you please me, you shall be in my favor, and receive rewards. It's a good thing to be in a court."

'Naughty things? Rewards? What rewards exactly. I mean I have to benefit from this if I were to accept.' She grew intrigued by this concept.

"It depends," Div replied smoothly. "If you please me, you shall receive trinkets of gold and silver, and manors, and serfs to govern!"

Of course Div could promise these things, for she was Queen of the Feien - Queen of everything! She hardly worried about being unable to deliver what she, by default, already owned.

"But if you displease me, a night or two in the Tower awaits thee," she added, and her bi-colored eyes gleamed with an ethereal light. Oh, and perhaps some torture! Oh, oh, oh yes.

Though maybe that was a bit harsh. Hm. All right, no torture - just a slight cut so Div could observe the red, lovely blood...

Arith mouthed an o! when she heard the name of her best friend from the other feien "Ahh~" she began, smiling "So your one of Shux' multiple flatmates she had been groaning about.. you seem harmless dear~" she stated with a shake of her head, and a smile. Shux had always been one for piece and tranquility, but she just shrugged it off, looking to Ia and Nero. Giving a small chuckle, she shook her head abit to Ia, scratching the back of her head abit as the flush ran across his face. Cantering her head a bit, she shifted a bit of her brown hair and chuckled once more "Thank you for the complement dear Ia, but I'm so short.. it's a bit stunting when it comes to being with my closest.. I wonder how Shux will take it when she sees that I haven't grown much at all.." she finished, rolling her eyes with a smile. The young feien promised her much taller best friend she'd grow.. and she only made a dent in her height... Oops?

Rislin frowned at Div. 'You're offer is displeasing. I do not like this sound of punishment. I'm sorry. I will not willing put myself thru punishment for someone else. Especially when the rewards don't tempt me as much either.'

She turned her attention back to Arith. 'Why am I not surprised she would complain to you about us. You're right, I don't know why she dislikes us so much.

A vein bulged out of Div's forehead. "How DARE you disrespect me!" she screeched, and stamped a foot, though it had little effect in mid-air. "I am royalty and to be treated as such! Hmph!"That said, Div whirled and buzzed furiously out of the shop.

Rislin watched at Div flew out of the shop in a fuss. Hopefully this feien would get over her complex, or she might be alone forever, she thought.

Arith gave a huffed chuckle and lowered her head abit, looking towards Rislin coyly "Well.. I've been closest to her since we were youths, sorry about that" she finished with an apology. She was a bit cautious, but she ruffled her feathers abit, single ones floating off into a small pile she hadn't noticed behind her, and started to explain what she figured."I.. don't think Shux dislikes you.. persay. I think it's more that she is a very solidary feien. Always has been.. never liked coming here because it was so foreign to her. I guess when your bondmate brought you both in rapid succession, it startled her more than anything. So she's a it edgy because of the quick break of her personal bubble of home." the life feien finished with a small canter of her head, worried that it didn't make sense..

Rislin thought of what Arith explained to her. At least she was kind and explained things much clearer than her flatmate would. The points she brought up began to sink into her brain and slowly made sense to Shux' actions. If this was true, then all of this was Lori's fault. 'Thanks Arith. I'm glad you are willing to take your time with me. You speak highly of Seven, much like she does of you. I would even say so much as a crush of some kind.' She smirked.

Arith gave a bit of a breathed chuckle at the youth's strong statement, scratching the back of her head, looking down at the intellegent little feien "I.. um.. I suppose I feel for Shux more than most feien, not sure what she would consider when it comes to me though.." she stated, smiling a bit and giving off a small cough at the end.

Rislin raised an eyebrow at Arith's behaviour change. This was
interesting. Seemed if you say the right thing, any feien will change their actions. 'I'll have to ask her about it when I get home. I'm sure she will be delighted that I've talked with you.' She gave a grin much like a younger sibling knowing they are about to cause some trouble.

Giving an awkward giggle and a smile, she shook her head a bit and looked to the younger feien "Sadly I haven't seen my friend enough in a long while, so it's been a bit awkward. The last time we had seen each other, she was grown, and much much taller than me.." she trailed off, chuckling a bit to herself.

Rislin laughed at the thought of Shux being smaller in size. 'Seven has been grown since I've met her. I can't really imagine her at my height. Anywho..things have been odd at our house. With Lori meeting these two men. I think she worries about them a lot.'

Arith cantered her head at the last statement, leaning towards the younger feien curiously. Emerald eyes widened as she looked to her "What's this now? I figured something else was up with Shux, but I didn't catch wind of this.. care to maybe enlighten me some?" She asked hopefully. She wished to know what was bothering her friend.

"Mm, I see. Well, let's not be one of the people who only talk to one person, aa?" he said, nodding decisively. He took Ian's hand and half-dragged him towards where the white and purple feien were talking.

Ianios was half dragged behind Cel. He didn't mind really, but Arith and Rislin was in deep conversion already and she hadn't really noticed him at all when he told her goodbye. So what good would it do now? His fingers tighted into the older Feien's hand. He was nervous again.

Rislin prepared herself to inform Shux' friend of the two men that have entered their humnbond's life. 'To be honest they haven't done anything wrong. They've just given us a weird feeling. They are Vincent and Tobey, or so Seven has told me. They have a class with her at school. But when they first saw Lori, they seemed like they expected to run into her. Maybe they are stalking her. We need more proof before we can bring this to Lori though.' the time feien finished with a tone of concern.

Two more feiens have made their way over to Arith and herself. She gave them a sideways glace.

"Hello there, ladies," Celaien said, dipping a bow to the two and smiling brightly. "How are you today, other than lovely?"

Rislin snorted with laughter at Cal's greeting. 'Does that crap actually work with women?'

Ianios blushed deeply. He was the romantic Feien, but here Cel was, outdoing him. He just gripped Cel's hand tightly, hoping neither would be offended. Well, Arith wouldn't be, he knew that. Rislin, he hadn't been around much to know.

"Wouldn't know, never tried it before," he said grinning roguishly. "Never saw a need to." He squeezed Ian's hand back reassuringly, giving him a quick smile. "Apparently it doesn't, but no matter, it started conversation, did it not?"

"Yeah, that it did." Ianios wasn't up to talk much now it seemed.

'Perhaps.' the feien shrugged. If this feien wanted a conversation, might as well give him one. But instead of starting it herself, she chose to just stare at him.

"My name's Celaien by the by, how rude of me to forget," he said, smiling winningly. The purple one was not apparently wanting of his presence but he'd been away from other feien for SO LONG HE DID NOT CARE. Mwaha. Yes.

Arith listened carefully, leaning in as the other feien as she finally understood what had been going down with her best friend inside her household. Frowning a bit, with a flush, she shook her head "I hope everything will turn allright." she stated before Cel and Ia made over, winning a dazzling smile from her. She thought it suited the timing well, since it worked better than her worried one.

'Rislin.' she completely the introduction with a hand held out for shaking.Ianios out his free hand on Cel's shoulder. "So what's this about these two guys stalking your bond?" he asked quietly.

The time feien brushed off Ian's question. 'Just matters of family business I was informing Arith of.' She did not wish to disclose more information to feiens she hardly knew, even though she hardly knew Arith. But since Arith and Shux were best friends, she felt that she could trust the feien at least that much. 'On to better subjects, hmm?'

Ianios nodded. He didn't really mind. "So how have you been, Rislin?" It had been a long time since he really spoke to her.

'Fine, I guess. Seven decided to take a trip on her own for a few days, but she had returned already. I guess preparing for Halloween is next in our home. It's Lori's favourite holiday.'

"Christmas is Rynn's." He had found the boxes of ornaments, marveling over them. There had been tons. Even Naaro had been surprised. "She loves to decorate the tree, though Naaro says she'll need at least 2 or 3. She loves gift buying, and seems to pick out the right gift for everyone. Granted, this is second hand knowledge, passed to me by Naaro. He's her boyfriend, mate, whatever."

Rislin thought of what Ian said. 'Lori doesn't like Christmas. No family. She only has us. She says she never liked the idea of christmas. Seemed pointless to her.'

"That's too bad. Rynn only had us at one point, until we went and rescued Naaro." He rubbed over Cel's shoulder. "So what makes Halloween speical to Lori?"

Arith chuckled a bit "Nerpin's seems to be Halloween also. He becomes more... Canine during this time it seems' She noted breifly.

Celaien nodded thoughtfully. "Christmas used to be Cele's favorite, but she's disappointed with how much of its original meaning is gone... She still loves the holiday and loves the season, but... eh."

Ianios chucked. "Rynn has a couple of friends who's true nature shows at Halloween. One of them, his birthday falls on it, as well. One is a werewolf. The other is a vampire." Ianios hadn't met either, but he knew, he had heard talk of them. "But they're great guys, as Rynn tells it."

Celaien laughed. "None of Cele's friends or family shapeshifts at Halloween, but everybody dresses up funny. She likes Halloween because she says it's impossible to overcommercialize."

Ianios smirked. "Cel, in case you didn't know, Rynn and Naaro are dragon in human form. I'd be surprised if someone she knew didn't shapeshift!"

"Heh, I guess you're right," he said, smiling sheepishly. "I *had* kinda forgotten that..."

'Lori prefers Halloween cause she finds it fun, I guess. Getting to dress up and be someone you're not. Nothing is more appealing that being in a skin that doesn't belong to you. At least to her.' she began to think if she wanted to dress up for Halloween.

"I like halloween because then, I can scare the crap outta little kids !"

And, on the back, was Zero, smirking. God knows how long she had been standing here, and well, she figured holding a conversation with tiny people shouldn't be really different.

"You know, we should have a Feien Halloween party," Celaien said thoughtfully, the beginnings of a mischievious grin edging at the corners of his mouth.

Ianios smiled, dropping his arms around the smaller Feien's shoulders, hugging him to him. "That's alright." He glanced to the clock. "I should get going. I need to check on Aria." He bend down slightly and kissed the top of Celaien's head."See you soon?"

"I hope so, for sure," Celaien said, squeezing back and smiling up at him fondly. "Good night, Ian. Sleep well."

That stopped Ianios from leaving. "Sounds like fun! Maybe Rynn can make us costumes or something..." He grinned and kissed Cel's head again. "Great idea!" He jumped at the sound of Zero's voice. "Howdy!"

"Yo." She answered, with the wave of the hand. "Sorry to intrude into the conversation, but the corner was getting boring."

Arith turned a bit and giggled at the sound of the human, looking towards her "Scaring little kids? Howso? Nerpin was meantioning something about scaring some people for their candy.."she trailed off, with a small chuckle and a roll of her eyes.

"Ah, yes, sounds like him." She smirked. "Then you must be Arith, right ? He talks about you alot." She said. "...And just for fun, I guess."

"I like candy... It's my second favorite part about Halloween!" Celaien said, laughing. "Dunno if I'd be any good at scaring people though..." He wiggled his fingers mock-spookily at Arith. "Rawr!"

Ianios laughed. He grabbed Cel's side, goosing him. "Boo!"

"...Candy is okay, but too much of it is kinda icky... too much sugar."

Arith smiled softly and chuckled under her breath before nodding to the woman infront of her "That I am. The one and only, I suppose. And I don't see how frightening kids could be fun... must be a Nerpin thing" she joshed, looking to Cel momentarily. Even though she wasn't frightened much, the 'boo!' sent a small number of white feathers cascading off her wings. And an Eep! from within.

"Well, at any rate, you are as pretty as he says." She smilled.

Arith smiled again and looked to Zero carefully "Aren't you the one who's getting a feien bloom soon?" she inquired, reminding herself of what Nerpin had said prior this week.

"Yee!" Celaien yelped, wings a-fluttering. "I thought you were going home! You scared me..." he said, laughing a little.

"Supposely" She chucked. "God help the poor thing, because it probabely will need it... Ill't be my first time taking care of something so... erh... small." She admitted, twirling her tumbs nervously. "I hope I don't screw up. I've been gathering info, mostly..."

Ianios grinned. "In a bit." He smirked. "This talk of Halloween got me to stay."

Celaien grinned reassuringly at Zero. "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be a fine bond. And there's plenty of others to help if you're worried or need some advice."

'Being a good feien owner doesn't take too much. Just give your feien sometime to spend with you and some leadway to do as they like. I'm sure other feien owners will be more than happy to give you some advice.' Rislin returned to the conversation after stepping out for a little bit.

"Eh, thank you, I guess ?" She said, turning a braid around her finger.

"And I know alot of people to go bug if I need help, its just... Eh, I always worry like that."

Arith cantered her head and thought a bit "Well.. first thing's first, keep the bloom in a careful spot.. so you don't.. well.. sit on it.." she thought again, humming "Try not to experiment too much.. you may hurt it.." she stated with concern.. she had heard of this before..

Ianios hugged Cel. "I do need to be heading out now. Goodnight, Short Stuff," He said with a wink.

"...I don't really plan on experimenting much... ill find something it seems to like and ill stick to that." She nodded. "...And while I don't think ill sit on it, ill keep it in mind." She grinned.

"Kay, g'night," he said, sticking his tongue out at Ian playfully. "And I'm not *that* short!" The shot at his height hadn't stung; he'd gotten resigned to the fact that he was still a juvie and didn't really mind it anymore.Ianios laughed, rubbing Cel's head playfully. "I know! Night!" With that, Ian buzzed out the door.

Arith gave a giggle at the last statement and nodded "I haven't heard of any owners sitting on their blooms, but I know Nerpin almost did" she said, huffing softly and she rolled her eyes, chuckling.

"Well, that one I never heard." She smirked. "Expect your bondmate on the recieving end of some teasing, my dear Arith."

"Wow, glad he didn't actually sit on you," Celaien said.

Rislin winced that the mention of being sit on as a bloom. She imagined it would possibly kill a feien. 'Most of my time as a bloom, if you would call it that, was spent with my flatmates.'

"Well, it's been lovely talking to you three, but I must be off now... I shall hopefully see you again in the near future," Celaien said, smiling at them and sweeping another bow as he prepared to leave.

'Bye' Rislin responded. She flew to the human, finding it interesting when one would spend time with her kind when not having one of their own. 'So any specific hopes for a kind of feien?

'She’s doing it again.'

'Hmm?'

'Lori. She’s going out with that guy again.' Looking out the window shade, Shux glared at Lori and Tobey talking outside his car. 'Look at him. Touching her hair. Next she’ll be falling in love with the fool.'

'Let me see.' Rislin’s head popped over the darkness feien’s shoulder. Her jet black eyes glanced about through the window blades held apart by Shux. 'You think we should follow?'

'No.' stated another voice, forcefully. Semella sat on the kitchen counter watching her two flatmates fret over the human.

'I believe the question was for Seven, not you Mel.' the time feien spouted with bitterness.

Shux pushed Rislin gently. 'Shh! She is not our focus.' the darkness feien stepped back and began to use her power to open the window. Once big enough, Rislin pulled out a rapier attached to her back and cut a hole in the saran wrap.

But the exit was quickly blocked by Semella. Her violet fingers clung to the frayed edges of the screen. 'Have you two gone our of your bloody minds? You can’t follow her. You’re getting yourself into unnecessary danger.'

'Stand aside Mel.' Rislin threatened, with her rapier resting on her left shoulder. Precious moments were slipping away that they could be using. Her face grew angrier by the moment.

'I can’t do that. I can’t stand here and let you go.' her mind appeared set as she looked between the two.

Rislin snorted, and placed her rapier at Semella’s throat. 'Don’t make me hurt you, Mel. We have to follow her.'

'Rizzy!' Shux grabbed away the time feien’s hand, clearing Semella’s throat of danger. 'You’ve both gone mental. Sem, we are going. If you’re so worried, come with us.'

'What?' Rislin began, instead she glared. 'If you mess this up…' she finished with a mutter. She pushed Semella aside and squeezed through the window screen. 'Quickly, this way.'

Shux followed suit, turning to Semella who fidgeted, deciding if she should come. 'So?' The ancient nodded and pushed her way through the hole.

The trio flew to the rear bumper and looked for anything to grab hold onto when the car began to move.

Luckily for them, during the 15 minute drive there weren’t many people out on the roads. When one would get near, the trio would move around the rear end for a hiding spot.

The vehicle stopped in a parking garage on the second floor. Tobey and Lori made their way to the stairwell, while Rislin, Shux and Semella watched them. Sadly, they were too slow to sneak past the door to the stairs. Their other option was out the window-like opening looking out downtown. Standing on the edge, the two feiens realized how high they really were.

Gulping, Rislin turned to her companions. 'Well..' she uttered nervously. With a deep breath she jumped off and casually floated to the tree planted in the middle of the sidewalk.

Semella began to scream, but her sounds were muffled by Shux’s hand covering her mouth. 'Rizzy!' the darkness feien hissed. She couldn’t see her within the branches. Assuming she was fine, Shux followed.

After landing, Shux found Rislin swaying on a branch a little below her. She turned her head back up to see what Semella was doing. Semella’s nails dug into her own arm. She couldn’t possibly jump. The thought of it made her sick, literally. She disappeared behind ledge and vomited on the ground.

'I think they are headed to the movie theater.' the time feien pointed in the theater’s direction. Sure enough, the two humans could be found headed towards the theater hand in hand.

But slightly behind them was a man in a black coat, hat and sunglasses…at night? Shux tilted her head, slowly dawning on who this person is. Vincent. He was wearing that hat at the grocery store. Her eyes narrowed on the man as Rislin dragged her to the theater. 'What about Sem?'

'They’ll get away. She’s not coming if she hadn’t by now.'

They weaved up, down, and around traffic to the other side of the road. Finally making it, the two hid in a nearby bush until the group of people passing by made their way into the restaurant in the corner.

Once gone, the two feien chose to slide down the handrails rather than taking the steps down to the entrance of the underground theater. At the base, there weren’t many hiding spots for them. Cause of this, they were spotted by a young five year old girl.

'Mommy! Mommy! Look there. Fairies!' she squealed.

'Not now pumpkin. We are about the see a movie.' the mother picked up the child and escorted her inside.

Out of fear, the two feiens ran to the nearest garbage can to shield themselves from the child’s eyes. They were more glad that Lori and Tobey were already within the theater.

'How are we suppose to find them now?' dawning on Rislin that the couple they were looking for could be within any of the screenings and the effort to search them all would be too tiresome for the two.

'Best we wait until they come out.' Shux responded giving a sideways face.

'It took us forever to catch up to them here. Maybe we should head back to the car. We’ll probably be left behind if we don’t. I really don’t want to have to head all the way home from here.'

She had a point after all. It could take days to return home from downtown. The darkness feien nodded in agreement and the two went back to the car.

This plan was quickly interrupted when Shux was snatched out of mid-air.

'I’ve thought I have seen you before.' the feien-napper stated.

'Let go of her!' Rislin yelled. In one swift move, she pulled out her rapier and charged at the man’s eye. Unfortunately she was too slow as she was whapped off her course by the intruder. Her small head hit the concrete knocking her out.

'Stupid fairies' the man grunted. 'Watch what you are messing with.'

Shux bit at the man’s finger, breaking the skin, but he did not let go. The feien spat out the bit of blood that had entered her mouth.

While unconscious from the hit, Rislin was unable to stop the man from taking Shux hostage. 30 minutes later she awoke unsure at what happened. Rubbing the back of her head, she returned to the car, informing Semella of what she could remember. They waited for Lori and Tobey to return, but they never did.

'Let me out!' banged Shux from within a glass cabinet. This was her cell. She knew she couldnt trust the two men who Lori met at school.

Tobey looked down at the feien with a look of confusion. 'I still don't see the point of taking her pet.'

'You wouldn't, would you? That one's the ring leader. Best we keep her with us.' Vincent called from the couch. He was busy playing Playstation 2, shooting random zombies that popped on the screen.

'What are you planning?!?!' Shux' muffled yell could hardly be heard by the two men. She stomped, screamed, banged, anything and everything to get attention. Nothing worked. Nor did they care that she needed food and was getting weaker everyday. In fact, she doesn't remember seeing them eat at all. Just drink. What are these men? Zombies or something?

Tobey's head turned to a sound that was faint for Shux to hear through the glass. He left the room through a door to the right.

Shux cried as she huddled in a corner. Her teared filled eyes stayed barely above her knees, keeping them on the men and their actions.

Tobey reappeared with a yawning Lori. Her hair was messy from an afternoon nap. Shux bounced up again and began rattling the glass walls. The human blinked at the faint noise. 'What is that noise?' she scanned the room.

'Oh. Vince found some random animal a few nights ago.' he pointed to the cage.

'Xaria!' the human gasped as she noticed the creature. 'Why are you keeping her trapped in there? she ran to the table that held the cage. 'How do you unlock it? Look at her! She's weakened. When has she last eaten? Lori continued to fret, her hands feeling around for the lock.

'They eat?' Vincent questioned, getting up from his spot and unlocked the cage.

'Lori! You need to get out of here! They are going to do something horrible to you! He feien-napped me!' Shux spouted in one breath. She hid herself in her bondmate's clothing. She began to shake uncontrollably by the shock of what happened to her.

Lori turned to Vincent. 'You -NAPPED- my feien?!?!?' she scowled.

'Honest mistake. I thought it would be interesting to study.' He responded casually.

'Bullshit!' Shux' voice could be heard from her spot.

'Valora' Tobey calmly began standing behind her. While wrapping one arm around her stomach and the other brushing the back of her hair, he continued, 'Vincent wouldnt hurt your pet. Im sure it was just a misunderstanding.' he softly kissed her neck.

Lori, of course, was gullible to his words, but she still had concerns for her feien. 'Maybe I should go home and check on the others. I haven't been home since out date.' she attempted to untangle herself from Tobeys grasp.

He was not going to have it. Instead, Tobey grabbed tighter. 'No' he muttered. 'I want you to stay.' He moved to Loris front side and clung to her waist while on both knees. 'Please.'

Lori laughed. Agreeing to stay under the condition that they get her some food so she may feed Shux. Tobey sent Vincent to fetch the meal, since he was after all the one who did not keep the feien nourished. But when Vincent took to long with the meal, Tobey excused himself and headed to the kitchen himself.

'That was a close one.' Tobey grabbed an apple and bit into it. He loved apples as a human and it upset him that he could no longer enjoy the taste of them. It's flavour was nothing in his mouth.

'Only a few more days.' Vincent held up a plate of food. 'Then she'll be ours forever.'

Rislin awoke after hearing a loud slam out in the living room. Her ebony eyes darted over to the clock. 1:03. Strange. I wonder if that's Lori. Semella's head popped around the corner, checking to see if she was alright.

'You awake Rizzy?' she questioned.

Rislin nodded sleepily. 'What’s happening?'

Semella entered the room and hurried to her side. 'It sounded as if Valora came home, but being loud is unlike her.' This was true. Lori tended to come home in a much quieter manner. But then again she had been missing for four days. The sound of glass shattering echoed in the room. 'We should check out what’s wrong.' A look of concern covered her face.

The duo zipped out of the door, thru the hall and straight in the living room. No one was there. By the door, droplets of blood could be seen on the rug. Semella landed and touched the blood. She lifted her hands to examine it better. 'Odd.' she muttered.

'What’s wrong?' Rislin asked, landing quickly next to her.

Semella held out her hand for the time feien to see. The blood was not normal human blood…or at least not fully. The thick liquid still kept some of a deep red tone, however mixed in was a silvery substance. 'Fascinating.' Rislin whispered.

A faint moaning floated from the sitting room. The duo turned their heads in the direction of the sound. Rislin bolted to the sitting room, she had to know if Lori was alright.

However, when she turned the corner, all her hopes were proven wrong. Lori laid in the corner breathing heavily.

'Oh my god!' Rislin screamed flying to her bondmate's side.

Lori's eyes appeared unfocused and distant. Her hair disheveled and clothing torn.

'Lori! Lori! Wake up!' she cried, her black eyes filled with tears.

Semella examined Lori's right leg, which had a huge gash. But what interested her most was the blood that was soaking up the cloth. The pants held deep red blood, except right where the fabric was cut. The ends began to show silver blood, much like the blood the gash was bleeding. 'Rizzy…' Semella began. 'I think she's transforming.'

'What?' Rislin called breathlessly.

'She's changing from the inside. Her blood is no longer the same.' Semella added.

Rislin flew to Lor'’s eyes. They were blank and soulless. However, at the moment she was staring at them, baby blue flushed over Lori's previous gray ones. The human’s breath grew faster, her bust heaving up and down.

'M…Mel.' Rislin started.

Semella looked up at the time feien, who was now transfixed on Lori's eyes. Lori opened her mouth releasing a blood curdling scream. Her K-9's grew in length while her body thrashed about.

'Rislin! Look out!' Semella screamed shoving Rislin out of the way. However, the ancient wasn't fast enough to protect herself. Lori's back hand found the rain feien which flung her across the room, slamming her against the wall and knocking her unconscious.

'SEMELLA!!!' Rislin scratched. Her head flicked back when Lori screamed again. The time feien flew back a few feet away, now completely frightened of her human. As a reaction to the pain, Lori spat silver blood straight at Rislin.

'Right then.' she said disgusted, while wiping the blood off her face.

Lori keeled over, spitting up more silver blood while crying.

Rislin looked up at the bookshelf that loomed over Lori. After flying to the top shelf, she began to push a vase off the edge. But her plans were failed when she finally pushed the vase over. The vase was stuck mid-air a foot above Lori's head. Rislin frowned, wondering what was holding the vase up.

It's source appeared on the entrance of the living room. Vincent's hand was held out in the direction of object. With his telekinetic power, he returned the vase to it's proper place.

'They did this to her!' yelled Shux from Tobey's grasp as the man entered the room.

'Actually, Vincent did it. I just didn't stop him.' Tobey released Shux, to which she immediately flew to Rislin.

'That's just as guilty!' The time feien shouted in return.

'She belongs with us, fairy. These are not matters that you would understand.' Vincent retorted. He bent over Lori and began to check her condition.

'I understand that you have made her into a monster like you!' the darkness feien boldness was stretching the vampire's patience thin.

'Quit it. We've done what we wanted, so you might as well deal with the change 'cause there isn't a thing you can do to change it now.' Tobey pulled out a chair and sat watching Vincent. 'How’s she doing?'

'Fairly well. She should be turned within the hour.' Vincent pulled out a handkerchief from his back pocket and wiped Lori's brow. He showed caring and nurturing to the female which confused Shux. It has reminded her much of Victoria and Shawn. Vincent stood and picked up Valora. 'I'm going to put her to bed.' The dark blue tips of his ebony hair shimmered as he took her out of the living room.

Tobey smirked at the two feien that were up the bookcase. His eyes narrowed as he scanned the room for Semella. He found her a few feet away knocked out, but still breathing faintly. His chair scrapped against the wooden floor as he made to stand to care for the ancient. Tobey carefully picked up Semella and placed her next to Shux and Rislin. 'You watch after her. We’ll take care of Lori.' The two feien grabbed at the ancient and began to check her over. Tobey left the living room as well.

'Why did he do that?' Shux asked her flat mate about the kindness the vampire showed.

'Probably another trick for us.' Rislin chose to use this behavior against him.

Shux didn't press the issue, so the two feien continued to care for Semella.

Shux' Journal
It has been weeks since I've last written. The time it takes to stop and gather my thoughts have become a useless act for me. But now I have too many of them in my head that I am forced to spill them out.

Lori had gotten herself into some deep s**t this time. What has she gotten us into? It’s one thing to ruin her own life, but she now have us connected to that life. She has become more selfish than I could imagine. She doesn't even show signs of being upset with Tobey and Vincent. Instead, she welcomes them into her home. I should have trusted my instincts on them. But what could I possibly do? Feiens are so small and weak in comparison to the human form. After all, we need them as bonds to survive. To be able to fight them….I wonder if it is possible. Perhaps I will have to seek out an ancient on the matter.

Back to the men. They are trying to convince Lori to move in with them. Apparently they live in a household with many other vampires. Some weird freak cult if you ask me. The decisions she makes…I fear for the safety of my flat mates and myself. Will this place be capable to house feiens? Or will we be forced to stay in one room all the time?

Rislin grows more hateful. It's surprising. I could see her slipping to that path as I once had as a juvenile. I hope she will be able to grow past it. I doubt the same things would work for her as for me. But then again, the change seems to be taking a hold into her. I think a part of her enjoys it. And Semella appears as if she might be driving herself insane. Sitting still is a rare occasion for her now. So is being alone. She clings to Rizzy and I for protection. I do not blame her for her actions.

I miss Arith. Perhaps I should send her a gift. I have seen Lori had received a pixapet box…which of course is slightly upsetting considering we don't need more of those thing in the house. I’m sure Arith would enjoy one though.
