Glow blinked before hesitently looking back. "Oh yes, vary sweet. We talked alot while we were walking and he told me about you, and his son...It is so....well i think the best word to discribe it is cute, so cute to listen to him when he talks about you and his son." She smiled at Jazz and Settia. "Its one of the reasons i couldn't wait to meet you. Once you hear somone speak of their family with such care and love, its hard to not want to experience that for yourself."

Settia was more than flattered at the mares comments. "Oh did he now?! Well! I am glad he talked to well of us." she said and gave a wink to her son.
Jazz chuckled at his mother and shook his head. "It is hard not to talk so much about my family when they have been so caring and loving of me." he said walking over to his mother and nuzzling her cheek. "Now if only we could find my son so that you may also meet him and see just how nice they all really are." he said as a way of telling Rhapsody to come out of hiding. He really did want Glow to meet him and hoped that he would get over himself and step out.
Rhapsody rolled his eyes getting the oh so obvious message his father was sending to him. Giving a huff, the pink stallion decided to come out since it was already known that he was here.

So it had been his son. She was a bit proud of herself for noticing him and making the connection. However the little hideing worried her a bit. Perhaps that was a bad sign and...he didn't like her already. She really didn't want to cause problems. Perhaps she'd have to leave if he didn't liek her and it would cause a problem between Jazz and him...Oh that would be horrible...She didn't like the thought of leaving the big red stallion. She hoped things would go well...she really hoped. In her ovbious nervousness she moved a bit closer to Jazz.

Settia smiled as Rhapsody came over to stand beside her. She could tell he was in a smug mood but just brushed it off. "There you are Rhapsody! So glad you decided to come back home. Your father has brought someone to meet us!" she said cheerfully hoping that her grandson would not be to uncooperative since she figured her son had brought Glow over to meet them since he was most likely interested in being mated to her.
Jazz smiled at his son but also noticed his mood. The stallions heart went to his throat as he became nervouswondering what would go on as he introduced Glow to him. "Rhapsody, I would like you to meet Glow Heart." he said and nudge Glow's shoulder.
Rhapsody looked at the mare blankly. He knew hwy his father had brought her home and that was because he was in love with her. She was most likely the reason for his father going out at night.

The blank stare the younger stallion gave her chills a bit. It was...nerve racking. She jumped a little at Jazz's nudge before looking down a moment and then back to the pink stallion. She took a small breath. "Hello, Rhapsody. Its a pleasure to meet you. I've heard so many good things about you from your father." she smiled, attempting to hide her nervousness and slight fright. "So i'm glad to finally get to meet you..." In her head she was begging Rhapsody to say somthing to give her a hint as to what he thought of her...

Rhapsody nodded knowing that his father's favorite topic to talk about was him. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well." he managed to say after a few moments. He still wasn't too sure about the mare. She seemed rather nervous and like she would bolt at any moment.
Settia stood there and watched, feeling just as nervous as Glow did. She hoped her grandson would understand his fathers need to find a mate, someone to share the rest of his life with. She also hoped he would forget or atleast push aside his pain of being left by his mother to be able to accept Glow.
Jazz watched and waited just like his mother was as thoughts and feelings raced wildly through his mind.

Glow Relaxed a little. So far so good...right? She looked to Jazz, not sure what else to say or do. "Um..." She looked down. "I apologize, if you don't like me...I understand." Pretty much she had just told him she knew of the little family problem, his motherless childhood, and that if he didn't liek her or didn't want to be around her because of that, she understood perfectly. "I hope we might be able to be friends. I really have heard nice thigns about you, and from what i have heard your also a bti of an explorer. Perhaps you could show me around some time...I'm planing on being around a fair amount of time and i'd like us to be on good terms." It was stright and simple. A extention of at least a friendship. Would he except? or even think about it?

He continued to watch her carefully and listened to her words. He really had no reason for being rude to her since she had no done anything to him. He shrugged his shoulders and snorted. "Yeah sure...whatever." he said sort of brushing he words aside.
Jazz waited for Glow to reply he hoped she wouldn't take his cold attitude too much to heart. That was just the way Rhapsody is. He hoped that once he found someone of his own that he would come out of his shell more and be happier.
Settia was appalled by her grandsons words. "Rhapsody! The least you could do is be nice since she is trying to be nice to you! I didn't raise you to be like that." she chided the young stallion.

Glow shook her head. "Its alright..." she said to the other mare. "its ok." However her whole body seemed to sag a little, and her mood seemed to become covered in a blanket. "It was a pleasure meeting you Rhapsody." She said lightly before looking at Jazz, smiling. Tho it was more of a cover up smile then anything. "I think i'm going to go look around a little. I won't be far, i just want to see what kind of flowers you have around here. I've never looked before." she said before lightly nuzzling him and walking along side the river.

Jazz's heart sank as she walked off obviously upset and then he turned to his son. "You could have been nicer to her. She hasn't done a thing to you and thats how you act? I dont think I raised you to act like that when company comes over." he said sternly, clearly upset as well over his sons rudness.
Rhapsody rolled his eyes at his old man and then shook his mane out. "What do you expect? That I would welcome her with open arms as my step-mother? I haven't even met my real mother or my real sister!" he snorted just as upset as the older stallion. He wasn't ready to give up the hope that maybe his real mother would come back and they could be a happy family again. But even as he thought that he knew it would never come to be. She had abandoned him even before he was out of the basket and so would most likely never return.
Jazz sighed, not knowing what else there was to say. He didn't know what to do or say for Sundance's abandonment of him and his son. He had moved one but his son had not and he saw that. But he would have to get over that and realize she was never coming back.
Rhapsody turned away from his father and watched as the mare walked up river and he snorted. She wasn't going to find any flowers up there. He knew the area well from his many wonderings and so knew where all the flowers were that were around. Giving another snort he followed after her. "You won't find any flowers up in that direction. There isn't enough sunlight for them up there." he said catching up with her.

She stopped and looked at the pink stallion, unable to hide the look of surprise. "O-oh..." she said lightly after a few moments. She shifted a bit. "You must knew well where everything is around here. I've only passed by on my way to the lake before..." she said lightly, smiling a little. "Would you be able to show me where the flowers are able to grow?" she asked politely. "If it wouldn't be much trouble, of course."

Rhapsody nodded to her. "There are some out behind the teepee like whats in your mane. Then there are some violets not far from there." he said and then turned around heading back towards the teepee.
Jazz watched as his son walked back towards the teepee, showing Glow where the flowers were and a smile crept over his features. He himself didn't know there were any around but of course all Rhapsody did was spend time by himself and wonder, so of course he would know where things were at.

"Violets? Oh i've never seen violets before. at least not since i came here." she said, smiling. She followed him. She had a feeling what she would say next might make him mad, or he might ignore it, or walk off, btu she ahd to. "and Rhapsody...I dont' want to be your step-mother. Your and adult, and you don't need a stange mare to come in and try and mother you." she said lightly. "I know what your real mother did to you and your father...and i'm sure you must miss her, want to know her. I have no family, so i can say i know a bit how you feel concerning that. I'm here to try and help your father. to be with him. I'm not here to try and be a bother. And if you really think i am one, if you want me to leave, then i woudn't hold it against you if you asked me to...and i would, if you wanted. Your father cares for you, and the last thing i want to be is somone who comes in and destroys a family."

Rhapsody stopped with his back to her and listened to her words. He was an adult and didn't really need a mother, since his grandmother had filled that spot in while he was growing up. He wasn't at all mad or upset with her words either. He could tell that she cared very much for his father and that his father cared very much for her. "It's okay." he said silently turning to her. "I know you and my father care very uch for each other. It's not all that hard to see. Plus he brought you here to meet us, so that says a lot too. And your right about me being grown and not needing a mother anymore anyway." he said and sighed a little. He really needed to get out and meet more people and develope better people skills. "I don't want you to leave either, atleast not because of me. It wouldn't be fair to my father and I don't think he could take another heart break, even if you two haven't known each other a long time. It's taken him this long to find someone else and I wouldn't want to ruin that for him. He deserves to be happy more than I do." the young stallion said and then turned, bending down to smell the violets.

Glow moved forward and lightly touched his shoulder. "You deserve to be happy just the same. And its obvious you care about your father...But now i can worry over him. and you can find somone that will make you happy as well. I don't like it when i'm around somone who is sad. I feel at falt. And i want to help. If you ever want to talk about somthing, i'm always willing to listen." she offered lightly before looking at the flowers. "Oh how wonderful! these are beautiful. Lita would be thrilled to have some at the tee-pee. I should have brought my basket." she shook her head a little. "silly me." She smiled at him. "i'll have to come by another time to collect some." She glanced over to Jazz and smiled at him.
