Ahh, if I'd only read I'd be fine... *grins and shakes head* OK, I'm definitely going to enter a fanfic. smile I'll send in the gold tonight to the Mule account, and will post as soon as I'm done with the story.

I think that's fantastic...but we also need to hear from others; it takes quite a bit of member interest to make this fly. We had judges in line and everything...
Is anyone else still willing to make the contests happen? I'm not a writer but I'd be willing to judge the fanfic contest if need be...

Well, elder members know of it...it's just been forgotten about. Understandable since Lady Une's disappearance was a bit of an emergency. She was a major promoter. But she's back now and that doesn't mean that the rest of us can't go ahead and make it work, right? It just takes a lot of participation from other members of the guild. We need more participants, judges, we had someone taking care of prizes and what-not...
Really, all it takes is for people to look at and respond to this thread. If others aren't that interested, then I guess we can let it die but apparently the three or so of us responding here are willing...
Come on, guys! If others want to reinstate the contests, lets do it! I think it would be fantastic for getting more activity and participation in the guild. If the majority is not interested enough to make it happen, then maybe people should make that known and we can lock the thread or something...
Maybe to take a consensus...we could make another thread with a poll? However, people don't even seem to be responding to this....maybe if I pm some mods and current members...

Yay! more interest...we need to decide on final guidelines and themes if people want to make it official. It holds that it would probably be better to recreate the contests rather than resurrect the old ones.

I'd say we should, even if we have the contest only between the few of us here. *motivating the masses seems to be way too time-consuming when people don't even seem that interested* Anywho...what contest should we make? fanfic and fanart? or just one? and maybe, to be fair, we could have a few mods *from whom I have received word would judge for us* step in...
and themes? guidelines? timelines?

We could always do both; that way if there are those who like to make art stuff they can, and those of us who can't draw their way out of a sack but can write circles around Mobile Dolls can... umm... do that. smile

True but there are only like four of us so to make it an interesting contest....we would need a majority participation in any one topic. So, I wouldn't mind doing whatever...if I wrote a fanfic it would have to be SHORT since im loaded with schoolwork...but hey! sweatdrop But what do the tiny masses say? Both? Theme for both? Jasta, you said you were working on a fic about repairing ties??? maybe that could be a theme???
