"You're right it does. I concede." Feroz grinned, refering to the happiness not quite as close to done with his own bubble tea, possibly because he kept getting distracted by toying with it to see what it did. "A noble goal...a challenging one." He noted, to Hydes comment, expression going somewhat lost in thought as he debated this. Love? Not something he'd made much time for. Too high a cost before, too strange an thing now. "Myself......I think it would be to say at the end of -my- happy ending. "I have done right.". Not to say I've made no mistakes, becuase such a thing isn't possible, but overall, to feel I've taken the better path."

Hyde smiled softly. "you're very nice Feroz, though my weariness around other drows won't disappear too easy" he said softly, walking along again. Listening to Feroz speak, he was glad the drow was content, at least someone else had found happiness aswell.
"i'm very glad Feroz" he said softly, a smile still on his tanned features as he clasped his hands behind his back.

"Caution around drow isn't a bad thing to have. Even around me." He noted, offering an edge of a smile that flashed a little something dangerous, as though he'd partially unsheathed a metaphorical blade, just enough to show that there was a edge there, hidden in an refined, polite scabard. "I don't know how better to put it than to say it's like handling a weapon. Trust it all you want, but if you grab the blade, it will still cut you. I suppose thats a cynical way to view the world, in many respects, but to others its a way of life. I suppose though that it doesn't nessisarily leave a lot of room for the kind of love you're thinking about though, does it?"

Hyde smiled at Feroz. "my guard just automatically drops around you I guess" he said with a small shrug. Not knwoing what else to say, Feroz just had a gentle air around him. Even if that smile did send a small chill up his smile. "well I'll find it, I hope..." Hyde answered with a grin, his cheeks pinking slightly as he thought of someone who was rather special to him. The only one who managed to keep his depressive habits at bay.

"You seem to be changing color again...." Feroz pointed out, finishing his own tea and dropping it into the trashcan in a mimicry of Hyde. "Since I don't think I said anything to inspire it, should I ask what did? Or is that pushing my luck too far?"

"just a thought, though you seem to like my colour changes Feroz." Hyde pointed out with a short bark of laughter, Feroz amused him to no end. He liked the drow as a friend immensely. "did you enjoy your tea??" he asked curiously, smiling at Feroz still.

"Heh! I'll admit it...I do..." He acconowledged, ducking his head in a gesture that might have conceivably been accompanied by a blush of his own if it was possible to tell. "Things look different in daylight than in the dark. Much more colorful. And watching people change color? Its very novel....very different. I did enjoy it. Strange but differnet."

Hyde chuckled watching Feroz, it was nice Feroz had enjoyed the drink and his company by the sounds of it. He found the others company pleasant and felt he could be himself and free from pleasantries. "why, I do believe you may have just blushed Feroz!" Hyde said with an amused smile, he recognised the movement, havign seen Kyou use it numerous ammounts of times.

"Me?" this earned an indignant snort from Feroz, though there was a somewhat teasing edge to it. "A warrior of the drow? I did no such thing, and you'd never prove it if I did." Mostly, he assumed, because surface elves and surface species didn't see the same way as a drow did in the dark, which in part, diserned heat.

"i'm not looking to prove it Feroz, you made an embarrassed gesture" Hyde answered with a smile, not really shocked with Feroz brushing the statement off with a snort. He was still a Drow afterall.

"Maybe so, but a drow? Blushing? Unthinakble." He pushed the joke a little before shrugging, rubbing the back of his neck at the awkward drop in the conversation.

Hyde smiled and looked at his clock, they had been together for a while now and he still felt confused, Feroz was practically still a stranger but Hyde felt like he was an old friend already. It was rather peculiar. "I hope we can be good friends Feroz, even if your drow brain won't let it be like that"

"...I think I would consider that an honor, if you have the patience to put up with a lifespan of being 'burned' by such attempts." He said after a long moments pause for consideration. This was a gesture of the likes he'd rarely encountered, and never been able to take up without an grain of salt, but Hyde has nothing to gain that he can work out, from a Drow without a house or without standing, which made the credibility of the offer that much more genuine. "I would like that very much."

Hyde smiled happily, Feroz wanted to be his friend. He had actually thought Feroz would turn him down, the silence he recieved had been weighted. "we shall be good friends then" he answered with a smile, geniunely pleased he had a new friend and a drow aswell.

((lets do the tiiiiimeeee warrrrrp agaiiiiiiinnnnn....)) ----- It had been a little while since he'd talked to Hyde, a day or so perhaps, though he felt comparatively little need to keep track of the particular march of days, outside of being aware when the sun rose. It was dusk at present, though he'd lit the area with a few candles in dishes, though it was less for their light, which he didn't need, but to warn people, who might not pay attention or see what he was doing....to keep back a ways, as in the dim light, his curious steps might be mistaken for an strange sort of dance, and the accompanying swoops and reedy whistles could be....well he'd discovered in the past that the mind events any number of reasonable explinations, though in this case it was an very long, thin chain, and he was practicing fighting. Not that he'd needed to since he'd come this far, but it never payed to let yourself slip, not amoung the drow, and anyway, it relaxed him. Or normaly it did, as at the moment, given that he'd yet to meet anyone else with night vision, he couldn't help wondering if he should have taken the extra step to try and see if someone could cast some kind of glow spell on the chain..... Hyde cast spells, but he didn't think an light spell was amoung them, just healing perhaps. More than he could do anymore. He hadn't even been able to muster basic spells he'd been able to do since they'd been whipped into him as a boy. What was Hyde doing at the moment anyway? Talking to that strange half breed? Ah yes, the inconvinience of listing someone as 'freind'. You wondered what they were doing, which had the secondary inconvinience of being distracting when you were whipping around long lengths of metal...which if you weren't careful could make you both very sore and very tangled, something he narrowly avoided, ending up instead dragging the chains through the grass and doing an awkward hop step over one of them and cursing.
