Nice

~doesnt know half those bands lol~

*only knows about 10 of those bands...*

But obviously, not all (or any, I don't know) are exactly...Christian music. How does that affect your daily life? smile

I didn't even consider Christian bands.
XD

The only ones in there that are Christian(some to an extent) are He Is Legend(not exactly Christian music, more like As I Lay Dying, Norma Jean, and The Devil Wears Prada in that they sing about various topics through a Christian point of view), E Nomine(Not exactly praiseful Christian music, but gives off various biblical and scriptural messages through his Gregorian chant/trance crossover style), Slechtvalk(Unblack metal = Christian black metal, though their later work goes more into viking metal), Celldweller(again, to an extent), Circle of Dust(Think Skinny Puppy, add more cleaner vocals from Celldweller frontman Klayton(though some songs have rough vocals)), and Anguidara.

Some Christian bands/artists I also like are:
Joy Electric, Andy Hunter, The Devil Wears Prada(some stuff), Klank, Training for Utopia, Skillet, Demon Hunter(self-titled-Summer of Darkness era, because I can't stand their new drummer), Skillet(early work), Starflyer '59, and Lengsel(though more popular as an unblack metal band, I like their later indie stuff MUCH better).

See? It is possible to like both Christian and non-Christian things. Then again, the "How does that affect your life" thing was slightly sarcastic...Anyways, it seems like you have a very ecelctic taste in music. That's awesome.

I was thinking how amazingly fun itd be for me to bring my metalhead buddies, my fellow brothers and sisters mof steel into this forum hehehe

whats ironic is, most christians near where i live will say that led zeplin is evil or devil music, but here its the opposite!

and if i brought a couple of Iron Maiden addicts here(other than me xp )

This forum would be flamed horribly.
-imagines 90 maiden addicts against 20 faithfull christians-

But i belive theres a bible verse that says"I can do all things through christ that strenthens me"?

Maybe im just insane(more than maybe lol)

I actually think it would be rather fun, if it wouldnt get out of hand lol

I dunno i'd still put my money on the christians, throughout it's long existance christianity has kicked a** and taken names, metal has consumed beer and moshed out. now being of both persuasions i can't actually say i'd participate but....

I don't think you caught my drift.
What I meant to say is Gorillaz is not a real band, but a virtual band.
A band whose music is played by real people, but the members of the band are animated cartoon characters.
Alvin and the Chipmunks was the first virtual band.
Other popular virtual bands are Dethklok, Crazy Frog, Josie and the Pussycats(excluding the movie's revival band), and Mistula.
Mistula would be the first Filipino virtual band(and might I mention their music kicks a** on a level John Woo wouldn't understand), as well as the first stop motion animation virtual band.

So as I was saying, I wasn't being deragatory toward the band, just simply stating the facts.
Murdoc is a devil worshiper, but he's also nothing short of a cartoon character.
How do you think Noodle has been portrayed as a 10 year-old for the past 8-9 years?
And none of the band's songs actually have any devil-worship messages in their music, however blasphemous.
I actually like Gorillaz.
Their original sound and simply great production makes their music noteworthy.

I think Lamb of God is the most demonic band there is. I like the band because they are TOO funny but I hate the fact that I have to ignore the blasphemy. I would never buy a CD.

That is horribly mean! A "true Christian" would defend or make neutrall the conversation. Its not a big deal and you should try to "make nice".
