My fiancee absolutely loves lolita. Whenever I wear my outfits he usually glomps me and knocks me over. Which I usually kindly ask him to get off me because it isn't very lolita to be bowled over onto the floor.

My guy friend says that lolita is a turn on. sweatdrop Not like imitation ero-lolia or anything, he's into BTSSB ruffles and frills. I think he likes the 'delicate innocent princess' aspect. xd

The first time I went to a school "function" in my lolita clothes was the first and last time I would ever go in a semi-casual loli outfit. Timberly, my friend, asked me if I was sick or blind when I got dressed in the morning... >.> It was for freshman orientation, and I got so many stares from people... Over the summer before the year started, I cut my hair, and no one recognized me. So, Timmy and I were standing in line next to each other, and this guy we knew last year was next to us, and she turned me around to face him, and she said, "Kurtis, do you know this girl?" He looked at me for a minute, then told her, "She looks familiar..." "It's Kaitlyn, genius..." I could've sworn his jaw would hit the ground when he heard that... There were some moms there, too, and they would point at me "secretly" and ask their child why I was dressed that way... I wanted to silence the room and make an announcement that people need to understand that there are other fashions/lifestyles other than Emo, Prep, Jock, ect.

I just showed a guy avant gauche and he encouraged my "Gothic Lolitaesqueness" so... I guess he likes it...
He says I already look like a doll...

My boyfriend loves it when I wear punk, classic, or goth lolita, but not so much sweet lolita. He still supports it and thinks I look good, just prefers the darker, more mature stuff on me. Sweet loli makes him feel like *****, especially since he is already a little older than me. xd

I honestly don't have any truel lolita cloths yet to be judged in yet, but I am a college student so stuff like that is not looked upon so much as it is when you are younger or if it is viewed its not by enough people that it would make that much of impact. I am curious to see what the BF thinks of me dressed that way he has seen the pictures of the stuff and thinks it looks kind of odd but also hot..so I will have to just wait and see.

My guy friends are all a little different about it. They "gay-boy-anime-group" loves it and wants me to make them lolita clothes and then the boys I dance with think it's just funny. XD I don't exactly blame them. You don't wear lolita to hiphop dance classes.

Overlord Hunter Well now, so many people truly do get the wrong idea about the Lolita style. I personally chose the other option in the poll because I do not like Lolita because it is "cool" nor do I like it because it is "hot". I simply admire it because it is beautiful and the feminine counterpart to my lifestyle. I myself am what you would consider an EGA but truly my mind, heart, and soul have been this way long before it was given a name. I do admire how this style is getting popular but many people truly do have the wrong mentality about it. I will be the first to admit that many men in this era truly have little to no class and the few that are born with it may get swallowed up in their environment.
Lolita is something wonderful, not because it is cool and most certainly not because it is hot, but because it embraces beauty. Lolita is as much a mentality as it is a style. Whether it be in rags or in the finest dress, one is always Lolita if they truly feel it in their hearts. where do you come from and why aren't there more of you? This is the mentality i wish more guys had about lolita. It seems like anything classier than jeans is wierd unless you're going to the theatre. (is very depressed that only businessmen still wear suits everyday) random side note: i can't believe this thread lasted so long. I barely remember writing it.

My boyfriend thinks it'll look super cute on me. I want to wear it, but I don't have the money or the stores. Thus I want to sew my own one time, but motivation isn't my best point and I never done it before xP

I think my boyfrind already knew I wanted lolita before I said anything to him about it. I mentioned it and he was like "Yeah, I know what it is " and that's pretty much it. lol so Im not sure wether he liked it or not.

The guys in my town are very, very rude about my clothing. Particularly my mini top-hat.
They call me "That fatass Japanese chick with the ********' Jew hat".
I'm not asian, at all. stare

misskeena I live in the UK & I love loli I just don't wear it, no matter HOW much i'd love to wear it, i'd get beaten up for wearing it round here... and my boyfriend loves it, he thinks its a really cool look even like sweet loli he thinks it's great, but then again, he loves fashion thats a bit different so he might just appreciate different fashions more than the 'average' guy hello UK person! i live in the Uk too! and yes i agree i dont wear it that often too, coz i would get beat up T.T camden adn glastonbury seem the only safe places to wear loli in the uk. well......when i started to wear it my now ex-bf was like wtf r u doing?!?! and basicaly wasnt open even tho i thought he was reallised he was a complete narrow minded geek (he had a sword collection in his room eek ) and then dumped him ^.^
