"I've pitied man for a long time, and so has Airez." replied Sol in with a slight smile upon his face. There was still a slightly distant look in his eyes as he got up and stretched his arms high above his head, "That's why he takes care of them so much."
Thinking this wording over, the man scracthed his cheek before looking down at Orphne once more.
"Well... he sort of looks after them and such."
Grinning, he passed back the couch before turning adn messing up the woman's hair with his hands, sending it all over the place as he headed for the kitchen. It was always fun to mess with people in a playful way, so as to not get any scornful words. And she was such an easy target for that too!
"Aye, m'lady. What grand cuisine will her most honorable be feasting upon tonight?"

His sentiments were confusing in their unrelated nature. Mankind was very different form the male division. However Orphne said nothing more on the matter, leaving Sol to stew on his own thoughts. What it was that he and Airez did in secret, she could not know. But now was not the time or place to question it either.
Instead, the nymph made a pouty face and prodded the boy again since he'd mussed up her hair. It stuck out at odd angles and it took a full minute of finger combing to straighten it back out. With a "tsk tsk" sound, she waved him away like an empress might a nosey minstrel.
Then with a playful look she said, "Her honor would like a nice tall glass of hot spearmint tea and... You know, a tuna fish sandwich with apple slices in it sounds nice." It was unusual as far as her tastes went, but they had plenty of tuna and a bounty of fruit since Airez fished and Orphne gardened. Though the apples were actually from the orchard a few blocks down, she admitted.

Rolling his eyes, Sol shook his head and let out a slight laugh.
"Her highness is most demanding of this mere thrall." retorted the pale haired man in a rather foreign accent, "I dare say I shall be worked to the bones if thine whip is flailed upon mine back more so. Tis shame that his royal knight tis missing."
Stopping, Sol threw his head back and let out a long sigh, dramatic to the end, "But alas... his high sirness is but gone, leaving his wee squire to finish the chores of the mansion. Oh woe is that little squire."
'Woe is he... woe is he...' came the man's voice as he faded into the kitchen once more, putting water in the coffee maker to heat up. None of them ever drank the caffine enriched mixture, though it did a smashing good job at heating the water up. Microwaves could only do so much, after all.
Sticking his had in the room, Sol blurted out rather out of character, "Want any sugar with that?"

Smirking, Orphne nearly burst out laughing, but merely snatched a throw pillow and held it up. She chucked it at Sol as he sashayed into the kitchen with an illustrius air. Now that the boy was gone, she could properly stretch out and exercise her legs.
Up down. Up down. She held one leg out straight while raising the other erect in the air for a few moments, then bringing it down. Monitoring her breathing, she repeated the sequence four more times before switching to the other side. The nymph found herself more tired than usual and quickly withdrew herself to the blanket again. No point getting too worked up this late at night.
As Sol poked his head back into the room, he called out. The woman wove her hands beneath her hair and chanted, "Just a teaspoon of the clover honey, if you will," and smiled back.
How much longer do Airez and Waya plan to stay out? Her stomach burned with dull pain and she furrowed her brows, stroking the smooth skin of her middrift where it stretched beneath her lover's cotton shirt.

"Aye aye, Capt. Orphne!" proclaimed Sol with a salute and a turn of his heel before heading back inside the kitchen.
Once there, his hands laid flat upon the counter and his eyes drew markings on the wall with his imagination. He seemed to be piercing the around around him with thought and concentration. In truth, he really was being bothered by a number of troubling things at that very moment; Namely, how Airez managed to procreate without being a human.
It should have been impossible by normal methods. They were not like this race of creatures which inhabited the lands like they were. So difficult was the mere concept of understanding this turn of events. That wasn't even starting with the certain complications that were supposed to happen, and probably would.
Oh and there was the problem of the others catching wind of this event. What would say think. And even worse, what would 'that man' think and do about all this. It didn't bold well if he tooka sudden interest in hte problem, and Airez loved Orphne way too much to allow her to come into danger.
Too many things at once, and Sol was certain that they would need help if this were to take place. His knuckles whitened as the fists clenched harshly into his palm. His eyes closed shut, blocking the sight from coming into being, then his entire body relaxed.
It was no problem. They could deal with it.
"One teaspoon it is."

Taking advantage of the time, Orphne pulled out her journal and scribbled a few things, penciling a couple of doodles in the margins as she waited for Sol to return with her tea. The eraser tapped against the page and when she heard footsteps, she shoved the journal back under the couch where it could remain hidden and pasted a smile back on her face.

A door bell rang once before the sound of keys jingled outside in the cold. After some annoying trouble with the lock, the door knob opened up, bringing in a cold wind that bit at the walls and floor. At the entrance of it stood a pair of individuals, one tall and the other small.
Airez and Waya had returned home.
"They back?" called Sol from the kitchen coming out with a spoon in his hand and eyes a curious.
His look wandered towards the ominous man though he offered but a little wave to him. A grin appeared on his face as he eyed the white tray that the wolf boy held in his hand, smelling faintly of cooked meat. Perhap they brought him something to eat, and he was hungry after all. Though he wished for this to be true, the look of the older man said otherwise as Sol's glanced away.
Alas, he would go hungry for tonight.
Airez, on the other hand, moved over with Waya's hand in his and looked down at the little one. His eyes lit up slightly as he nudged the boy in the back with his knee, motioning him towards Orphne.
"We brought you something to eat, hun." spoke the man in a slightly more cheerful tone. "In case you were hungry."

Hearing the door creak open, the nymph twisted around on the soft cushioned sofa to get a good look towards the entry way. In walked Airez and her little boy. Hand in hand.
Her cheeks felt very warm; Orphne was a bit overwhelmed by the subtle change in attitude from both of them.
Sol poked his head out and Waya looked up at the boy, tilting his head a little, then opening his mouth in protest as Airez nudged the wolf forward with the box.
He looked over to where the older men had been looking and saw his mom sitting up on the couch, bundled up in a thick comforter and smiling at him. Waya lit up, but walked slowly over to her and set the box on a nearby table. When the boy was close enough, he leaned in and gave the nymph a soft kiss on the cheek. With a swish of his tail, the wolf sat upon the couch next to her.
"You were sleeping. Did you have a nightmare?" The woeful look he got forced Orphne to suppress a giggle and swallow her little boy in the blanket with her. She shook her head and curled an index finger toward the men in request for them to come sit. Promptly, she hugged the wolf close and kissed both of his cheeks.
"No no, I just got a little restless." Waya looked like he wanted to argue, but she quickly began talking again. "Sol has been taking care of me since he got back, so I'm in tip-top shape. And I see you and Airez had a good time?" She pointed to the box. The boy looked back at Sol.

"It was... an enjoyable night." spoke Airez as he moved over towards the couch, eyeing down at the mess of blankets on the seat like that. It was cute to see those two like that, all bundled up together as a mother and child would be. A precious picture no one could take away.
Though a quick tap on the shoulder brought him out of the trance and back towards the land of reality. Upon turning around, he was face to face with Sol, his son. The look upon the young man's face seemed slightly more serious than he usually was, considering how silly and spontaneous he acted all the time. Apparently, something was eating away at the young man, and he had to hear every word of what ever it may be.
He already knew what was going to be asked.
"Hey can you help me with the tea in the kitchen," asked Sol in a calm voice, motioning towards Orphne and Waya, "I think we'll be needing some more cups for the company."
I know she is pregnant, now how in the heck did you manage to do that?
"Of course," replied Airez as he reached down and gently stroked his fingers along the side of his love's soft cheek. Still warm and full of life, so to speak, "Waya, do you have any preference to tea flavor at all? I'll be sure to make you a batch so you can enjoy it as well. And I'll add some honey to sweeten it up."
Same way I created them.
Nodding, Sol scratched the back of his head before turning around and looking at the kitchen. His face seemed slightly confused as he listened to the conversation that was taking place. They'd have to get more honey and purchase more tea at this rate. And that stuff tended to get expensive if you were looking for the enriched branch. There was only so much the three of them could afford.
Especially with a bunch of children running around.

Sitting there together on the couch, Orphne let her fingers sift through Waya's mop of hair, the tips of her digits falling over the curves of each dread. When the boy was passified enough to snuggle up close, Orphne took advantage of their position and tickled Waya; top to bottom.
He tried not to laugh, but ended up giggling so uncontrollably that he slipped off the couch and loped to the other side of the room where he stuck his tongue out at Orphne. She grinned and stuck her tongue out too, waving her fingers with her thumbs touching her ears.
Waya smirked as his fuzzy tail fell and lifted in the air. He tip toed around, behind the couch, then jumped up over the side and tried to tickle-attack his mother. They both knew she'd been watching, but Waya tried to surprise her anyway, and for his efforts, the nymph merely sucked him over the edge of the couch and tickled him some more. They settled down when Orphne said she was getting tired again.
Bundled up once more, Orphne closed her eyes and nuzzled the inside of Airez' hand when he reached out. And as he drew away into the kitchen, she kissed his palm.
With a cute squeaking noise as the woman tickled the boy once more, Waya looked up at the dark man and giggled. "I like the Lemon Zinger tea." His ears had perked up at the mention of honey.

With his body entering into the kitchen, Airez looked back at Sol and rose an eyebrow at the young man. Normally, the son of his wouldn't question him so casually, not in front of others. And especially not through a mind message.
"Of course, Waya," spoke the man, as he turned back towards the counter, looking over the different packets of tea that were everywhere, "I'll get right on it."
"Think I'll help." offered Sol as he too entered into the kitchen and walked towards his father's side, leaning in to whisper, "And you planned on tell me this when?"
"Calm yourself." replied Airez as he reached out and took one of the bags in hand, then dumping the contents into a tea-pot. "I was going to tell you tonight anyhow, seeing as Waya now knows what's happening as well."
"Wait, you were going to tell Waya before me?"
"I was surprised you didn't detect it sooner"
"Yes but...," The thought of his folly approached him as the pale haired young man stopped his words. It was a harsh counter but the truth was there. Orphne was more than showing signs of morning sickness, as well as having these strange happenings to her all the time. Ever since that day she'd stayed over, the woman hadn't acted the same around him or his father. Not to mention Waya, who might have detected it as well. The obliviousness of himself tore Sol's pride slightly, though he could repatch that without problem.
"Still, you could have trusted me with that. Not like I would tell anyone." retorted Sol finally as he crossed his arms over his chest, leaning against the counter casually, "And I still don't get what the Jentra have to do with it. I mean... it just doesn't seem feasible to me. And I doubt the old guys will like that at all." pausing, he shook his head and looked at the ceiling, 'And let's not start about 'you know who'."
"The others won't care, and the elders can't do anything about it." muttered Airez as he tilted the pot over, letting the rich beverage pour into a small cup, then stirring a spoonful of honey into the batch. "And I do not think Caro will allow him to do anything to the child. Nor will I, or you."
Sol blinked and shrugged to the comment. A direct order from the man: Save the bundle from harm or else. "Fine fine... I'll talk to her sometimes about it if I find her, or if she finds us. Rumors are going to fly left and right as soon as the Jentra hear about it. Bet Sheva will be thrilled through."
"Mm hmm," picking up the cups of tea, Airez headed towards the entrance and looked back with a smirk, "She'll have another child to take care of."

"Mom..." Waya whispered, burying his face in her side, "Why do people get old? I do not want to be old." His breathing was shallow and felt warm on the nymph's shoulder. Another intersting question.
"What's wrong with groing up, hun?" Orphne cuffed the boy's chin and stroked his arms with her knuckles. There was much to be admired when it came to the innocent fears of children. They were curious and everything in this world was new to them. A lot of it was still new to Orphne. She'd been here years with Airez, but in the vast expanse of their lives, that was very little time accounted for. It seemed peculiar that they two were settling in together in a seaside villa, with Airez as a fisherman and Orphne painting as she discovered she could. At the outset, Sol had been against the idea.
"When you get old, you cannot play with friends the same way. The meaning changes. And you and Airez are having a baby." The wolf looked distant. His thoughts lingered on Prana and Sandy, comparing the two, wondering if his bear friend would become like that. To see Prana all grown up, Waya worried. He wondered if Keita would feel that way too when the fawn grew up.
With an aside about silly concerns, Orphne began to explain. "You see, Waya, when people grow up, they do change, and the things you used to do with eachother change too. It's a part of life." Her fingers rubbed the back of his neck soothingly. "It can be a sad thing at times, but once you master the subtlety of your actions, you feel more in control of yourself and your relationships. You avoid a lot of hurt that way." Several examples came to mind, but the nymph thought it best not to frighten her child.
Scratching his ear lightly, Waya tilted his head. "Prana wouldn't hurt me." Orphne smiled. "Not intentionally anyway. She is your best friend, and will do her best to be kind to you."
"So I must do my best to be kind to her too."
"Precisely."
Airez walked in with the tea, clouds of steam twisting upward from the kettle. Extricating himself from his mother's embrace, Waya got up and cleared a few books and knicknacks from the table.

A soft glow in his eyes appeared as Airez entered the room once more, seeing the two on the couch and watching Waya leap off to make room for the treats. How cute it was that he was so eager to have something sweet in his system, all the while they just had dinner not an hour ago; Although he didn't really eat too much there. Knowing children, they would always be ready for some form of a sweet treat.
With his eyes lingering away from the small child, the dark man took note of Orphne on the couch as well. She was so beautiful to him for some reason. Every time he was away from her, he was thinking about her, and even more so now than ever. The touch she gave some how was gifted with an added electricity, entricing all his body at once. Now she was carrying his child in her body, letting his energy signature mix with hers to form a whole new being.
Perhaps... that wasn't the best way to put it, though it was accurate enough for his thoughts.
Moving over, he entered around on Orphne's side while placing the batches of tea down upon the table. A little 'ching' and they settled, swirling their dark and light liquids within.
Sol, all the while, was moving around the other side before plopping down upon the couch. Remote in hand, he sloutched and turned the TV on, wondering if anything good was on. Still the same shows, still the same movies, and still the same commercials. Well maybe the two love-birds, he thought, would like to see something more romantic. Though that thought made him think of Waya, who would probably want to watch some hunting show or a doccumentary on why zebras have stripes. Goodness knows the National Gaiangraphics channel was just like the Food Network for him.
Rather than okay with the TV, Airez decided to let his 'son' work the remote as he sat down at his lover's side, leaning in and giving her a soft kiss on the neck before grasping her hand in his. Smiling gently, he leaned back and began working his fingers around in the young woman's palm, massaging over her delicate skin with waves of his touch. Still as beautiful as ever.
"I swear they have nothing good (or appropriate) on TV these days." murmured Sol as he busily switched channels some more, ignoring the cuddling going on while he looked at Waya and then the tea, "We should make some popcorn."

Pulling each boot off, Waya ran back to the door and put the pair away, then loped back to the living room area. Seeing that all the couch space had been taken, Waya kneeled down by the table and handed out each cup to it's respective person. One for Sol, one for Airez, a lump of sugar for Orphne, and a teaspoon of honey for himself.
The nymph let her free hand take the tea and put it to her lips. The hot liquid spilled over into her mouth, washing her tongue in the taste of the spearmint. She let her body sink into Airez' as her fingers laced through his. The cup was set back on the table so that she could lounge in the comfort of his lap again.
Life had been rough for them both, and she hadn't exactly been the nicest of acquaintences upon first meeting, but they were in love now and starting a family. People say you can't hold a relationship based on tragedy. But you can hold a relationship on the principal of rebuilding in the aftermath of such. She squeezed his hand and watched the screen flicker through a series of channels, each to Sol's dislike, until he stopped on the National Gaiangraphic channel for Waya's sake. The TV monitor displayed a dark night sky and the voice slithering from the speakers spoke of ancient people and the constellations they created.
The wolf boy huffed as he hopped up and pushed against Sol's knees. "I will beat you there!" And without hesitation scrambled around the side of the couch and into the kitchen.
Running a hand down the buttons in Airez' shirt, Orphne's lips parted to kiss his hand, then snuggle him, laying her body out along the couch again, with her head resting on his leg.

"Aww come on now, Waya!" called Sol as he hopped off the couch and ran into the kitchen after the little boy, making grabby hand at him. While Waya could make some popcorn, there tended to be a mess afterwards, nto to mention overly buttery pieces. And he didn't really enjoy that kind of popcorn; Lightly buttered, lightly buttered.
Watching the two leave, Airez smiled inwardly and looked over at his dearest one. His hand rose up and stroked gently upon her cheek, caressing the velvety skin. The white irises of his stared down into those of his love's, searching the waves of color with a wanting look in his sight. Each touch upon her skin felt like the petals of flowers, so soft and fragrant.
It wasn't long before he placed his cup of tea down and brought Orphne up, locking his lips with hers. A trance-like state swept over him as he caressed the supple surface, sliding over with affection and care. His hands grabbed around her back quickly, drawing her body close and massaging the skin through her loose fitting shirt, which he just realized was his own. It wasn't long before his fingers were reaching down and tugging the lower rim up, exposing a small patch of her skin to his warm touch. The lavishing feel was driving him mad as he'd been thinking about her all night, wanting to be with her.
Though the stirring in the kitchen drew his lips away, tilting his head up and kissing over the woman's forehead tenderly. They had very little time at the moment, and he didn't wish to waste any of the hourglass' grains. Still, his arms were cradled around the small frame of his love, touching against her, tangent to his own.
"Can you tell how much I missed you?" he asked, leaning in and delivering a swift kiss once more.
While in the kitchen, a different senario was being played out as a loud voice said, "Waya! Don't add so much butter!"
