Jay shot Derek a perplexed look, a blush staining his cheeks again as he realised he was getting laughed at. He ran a finger over a large pebble near his knees.
"you can if you want, though i'm not like it often" he murmured in embarrassment, why was Derek making him feel so damn smitten??

"Not angry often? Hmmm...well, I wouldn't want to make you angry on purpose or anything..." Derek grinned slightly... but the thought of an angery, forceful Jay...The red head wanted to slap himself in the forehead. There wasn't anything weird about this!!! He was attracted to the other person!!! It had nothing to do with emotions, or anything of the sort. So what if Jay wasn't the bad boy type? Maybe his own body wanted to...try... something new. It was just a bit weird, because when he lusted after some one there was a different reaction...instead of the butterflies in his stomach. What was going on with him? Derek frowned, one hand on his stomach as he thought it out. A slight blush formed once more as he kept quiet and thought.

Jay turned to look at Derek and smiled, glad he wouldn't try and get at him, in that way. His gray gaze studied the other, his face kept flicking with different emotions so he must have been having an internal debate. Jay scooted closer a it and placed a hand on Derek's shoulder, the gesture pulling a blush from his pale cheeks.
"are you okay Derek??" he asked softly, peering at the red head with a concerned gaze. He continued to examine the other, noting the frown with a bigger hint of concern. Something was bugging him.
"is everything alright? what's bugging you??"

Nana purred softly, tail unwrapping around his waist and swishing lightly. Being called 'mate', it made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like when someone pet his ears.
He looked up at Oli, smiling weakly. He giggled lightly, watching him chug the drink. "Would you like to go inside?"

"it's a good thing to do, I think Juthian would get a shock if he saw us out here, especially naked" Oliver answered, putting the glass down and nuzzling his face against Nana's. He answered his urge to kiss the other, gently laying his lips over the albino feline's.

Jay's hand touched his shoulder and pulled Derek out of his thoughts. Honestly, it almost made him jump three feet. His body flinched from the sudden contact, not expecting it at all.
"Uhh...Well..." Derek sighed, closing his bright eyes for a moment. It was time to take the Derek approach. The straight and blunt way... beating around the bush not only with a club, but throwing a boulder on top of it too. He set his shoulders straight, and looked at the other dead on.
"Alright, truth be told... I'm attracted to you. Problem is, you're not my type...at all. It's confusing for me, very, very confusing. You are not wild, or loud or a bad influence. I cannot use you to freak out Clarice, Hirake or Leonidas...which is what I normally do. And yet, I'm attracted to you. I find it very odd, and I'm trying to sort through everything to make it make sense in mind."
Blunt...but truthful. No one could ever say Derek wasn't truthful.

Jay's pretty silver eyes blinked as he let what Derek said sink in, his hand gently tightened it's grip on his shoulder and he couldn't help but smile.
"maybe, you're growing?? I must admit, I find you attractive as well" was his short answer, still that hypnotically elegant smile graced his features. He brushed a hand through his silver and gold hair, keeping it from falling back across his face.

Jay didn't know Derek's love life. Love 'em, and leave 'em. He could never stay with some one too long... and the other person tended to feel the same. A moment of lust, lasting a few weeks of wonderful pleasure...and then it was on to some one else. It was another thing bugging Derek... he had a feeling that Jay wouldn't be like that at all. Which was holding him back from the normal flirting Derek.
"Sorry, I'm just trying to think things through." He patted Jay's hand, though staring at the water blankly. What was he to do?

Jay pulled back with a smile, his hand leaving Derek's shoulder as he put a little space between them. His hands moved up to start braiding his soft hair and he looked over at Derek.
"It's fine Derek, we have....just met recently, I should not try to push things upon you" he answered softly, his gaze flicking down to the pebbles as he tied his hair off with a ribbon he kept tied around his wrist.

"That's not it at all Jay. I don't think you'd understand, honestly."
Derek sighed, kicking his feet a little. It was such a nice day... and yet he was troubled. He flopped down on the ground, moving around til his shoulders and back were comfortable on the dirt and grass. His bright eyes closed as he kept up his thinking.
"Does it help if I say... I believe in lust...and not really anything else? And I don't think you think the way I do? I don't want to hurt you..."
That was a first however. Derek really hadn't cared about hurting anyone. But Jay... he didn't want to hurt Jay. He was handsome...and seemed so... soft. Too good for Derek, the little player that he is. At least, that was the red head thoughts... and besides... Derek didn't want to get invovled only to have issues and bail. Not on Jay.

"oh?? well if we're talking truths then...just a couple of days ago I let my new mate go back to one of her old lovers, and yet I am here calm and smiling, maybe I can handle pain better then I think..hmm??" He asked, lying on his front next to Derek.
"I know what it's like to fall head or heels in lust, a passion that grips your heart for a short time and then it dies and you move on" he murmured softly, resisting the urge to kiss Derek on the lips, he looked so vulnerable.
But considering what Derek was saying about his past lovers, he either liked to be rough handled or he liked to be rough in general, something close to that at least. Jay liked to be dominated and seduced using force--within acceptable standards--it was his guilty little uke pleasure, though he was in fact, a seke.
He sighed inaudibly again and leaned up, pressing his lips softly to Derek's in a rather demanding move, if he started it then Derek could only blame Jay and not himself.

Derek listened to him, eyes still closed in his thoughts. The sun was so nice... maybe he could just take a nap here and figure it out when he woke up. And yet, there was another thing Jay did to startle him.
The kiss...it was soft, like Jay....and yet not so much. His bright eyes fluttered open for a moment in shock...but they closed quickly. He responded to the kiss, and an arm wrapped around Jay, pulling him as close as he would go. However, his arm was locked, Jay would not be moving away.

Jay moved willingly when he was tugged close, half-lying ontop of Derek as the kiss was responded to. He deepened it, tongue moving into the play as one hand tangled into Derek's short hair, the other supporting his weight so Derek wouldn't have to take any.
In all honesty, he was surprised that Derek responded and so eagerly too. It was something he had hoped for, but not thought he would recieve.

Derek let himself go in the kiss for a few moments, before breaking it off for a good breath of air. His breathing was heavy, and his heart was punding. At least for a moment. Something he wouldn't let Jay know... that his stomach had done turns in knots during the entire thing, and it had felt like no other kiss. Nope, not letting Jay know that.
"Well...aren't you forward."
He chuckled, his grip growing loose as he lay his head back. Those bright eyes fluttered close and helet his body relax. Forward was always fun.

Jay pulled his face back a few inches when the kiss was broken, he drew in a few deep breaths and smiled at Derek, heart pounding and pulse racing. His body had warmed up when the kiss was responded, something it hadn't even done when he had kissed Raven or anyone before her.
"best way, to get my point across" he answered with a grin, moving his arm so it swept across Derek's chest and moved to the side he was laying on, supporting his weight more comfortably.
