James turned around. "keep going men." He swore. He grabbed his radio and said "Send in some dark angels. I'll need them." He took a few steps back and aimed his pure energy rifle at Ashura. "Dont make a big mistake. Leave now, and you'll survive."

A voice come back on the radio "Dark Angels in route now, Ready to extract your team" The helicopter pilot replies "Twenty minutes out"

"A gun? That's all you have?" Ashura laughed and shook his head. His eye flickered, and the gun began to collapse in on itself. "Move before I kill you. I need those two."

"Roger that" He said into his radio. He noticed his gun began...changing. He activated his null field. "You wont be so strong without your powers" he told Ashura. He looked down at his gun. It looked like he'd still be able to use it, at least till the null-field wore off. He fired at Ashura.
The soldiers had left the city by this point.

Mackie calls out to Ashura from behind James, "Hey Boss, can I kill him now?" and slashes with his knife. (normal weapon attack)

Ashura saw the gun fire, and made a quick slash with his sword as he dodged to one side, sending a gust of wind that slowed the shot down for just long enough. Within a moment, he was surging forward and made an upwards slash at James' chest.

James heard a voice from behind him and spun around quickly and fired a shot at Mackie. He took a slash to the arm, then a slash to the back. He fell to the ground, swearing. He placed his hand on his disabling gun and fired a shot at Ashura.

James' body vanished. Lucidity lifted him up and flew him out of harms way. He wasn't sure why, but he felt like he owed the man something.
