Niksia smiled slightly over the rim of her glass, taking a moment to consider the other dice player.

'It is. I think it's just like that to make people come back.'

She waited until he was done before attempting another roll.

'Another wrong one, what a shock.'

Giggling faintly, Niksia wondered if it was the sugar in the lemonade or the shock still affecting her that made her even think to make that noise.

It was almost soothing to stand and take turns with the dice, a game based very much on chance instead of some form of skill.

Niksia mulled over the question before answering.

'A guardian? I'm not sure what you mean, so I suppose the answer is no...'

Rolling the dice gave her a moment to reflect before continuing.

'I came here by chance, if you want to call it that. I'm still learning exactly what I've stumbled into.'

She smiled a little at her own comment, glancing over at her result in the pan. Yet another fail. It was going to become a matter of determination to get anything. Niksia did have an urge to find out what the prizes were exactly.

So there were more people like her around, she hadn't been too sure for a while there. Too distracted talking to Kalec, taking the time to work out who was what hadn't occured to her.

She shook Aphismt's hand carefully, smiling in an effort of distraction. So much touching lately! It was the holiday but...! Niksia wondered if this was why she usually stayed at home on days like today.

'I'm Niksia. Nice to know I'm not the only clueless person here.'

Watching his dice roll she laughed, they were sneaky little things for being inanimate objects.

'You're going to win a prize if you keep that up.'

Rolling after him she took at look to see if the dice were trying to be as nice to her. No, but they had amusing combination lurking, if you checked hard enough.

'No dice, as the saying goes.'

A pun. Shameful.

This was a nice easy conversation, Niksia had to admit to herself. No strange moments, odd happenings or even dark little auras floating around the whole thing. It was tempting to give into the feeling of being rather relaxed.

Niksia looked up at where Aphismet pointing, seeing the black and red Raevan in question near the stand she had been at earlier. It was like looking at Kalec, but not. They were both Raevans, as she remembered them being described, but it was like looking at two different people on the street.

The mind boggled.

'They're so different... I vaguely recall being told how they come about... But I don't understand that sort of thing generally.'

Taking the dice yet again she laughed at Aphismet having yet another rather fated dice roll.

'They're certainly listening to you, must have been something you said. But, I guess I still need to make nice.'

Another close but yet so far roll.

Listening to Aphismet's explanation Niksia's eyebrow shot up in the direction of her hairline. Making a living thing from night sky and a scorpion? There were complicated concepts and then there was testing the limits of her mind.

'I see... Well, I don't. Making something from the night sky is something I hadn't thought of doing before...'

She took the dice and tried to roll something nice again, a prize still seemed good though it was more the excuse to stay occupied while talking.

'I'd talk nice to them, but it never seems to end like I intend it to...'

Niksia chuckled at the thought while checking the result of her roll. Telling them to be nice or get chopped up might put off the young man she was trying to speak to like a normal person.

'Oh! Look at that! They're teasing now.'

Niksia pouted out her bottom lip a little, that last throw had been too close for words. She wasn't very competitive, just enough to make her want something to make the effort worthwhile.

'I don't know if I've heard of anything quite like that... Fel Essence, hmm.'

She mulled on the words, she knew what essence meant if only because her education wasn't something that had been up to her. But it was an object as much as anything. Ice that didn't melt? Yet again her mind boggled at her, trying to get itself around the idea.

'It's a strange thing to do, if you don't mind me saying. But they're fasinating, I can see why people take part in this.'

Niksia grinned slyly at Aphismet as he explained about the prizes, her amber eyes glittering in amusement.

'Trying to get your own prizes, they must be good. Don't spoil it though, I want to find out what they are when I get one!'

The chances were slim, Niksia would have to stop eventually and get some food and look around the booths. The scary, scary booths. Kissing, indeed.

Another roll of the dice was made, would it be quite the tease like the last or not? Yes and no, close but not close enough again.

Alex sighed and flipped her phone shut. She wished her friend would make up her mind! Tells her to get out and then starts calling her obsessively to make her come back? She shook her head, thinking that she needed some new friends.

The dark haired woman returned to the refreshment stand, offering a half-smile to the green Raevan. "Sorry about that." Honestly, she wasn't certain he'd even noticed that she'd left; she didn't blame him with all the hooplah of people coming and going.

She suddenly realized that the black and red Raevan was also behind the booth. He was even more beautiful close up! Her fingers itched, wanting to touch him for further observation. The studious part of her wanted to see what was human about these Raevans, and to better understand the parts that were not. She was in awe of the differences between these Raevans: Kalec, dark and impressionable; the green Raevan, quiet and unnerved; the red and black Raevan, beautiful and fierce. It was no different than humans, of course, but she felt these Raevans were seperate entities all to themselves, rather than diverse.

She opened her mouth to speak to the black and red one, when a green dart shot from the sky, hitting her square in the back. Alex made a displeased noise, not in the least bit surprised as the green form darted over her shoulder and into her jacket, shivering. The woman sighed and pulled her jacket around the cold Gwee, zipping it carefully around his wings. She was beginning to think he was neurotic. "Warm up, Zoe," she murmured into the neck of her jacket.

The distraction was enough to make her startled when she looked back to the booth and saw a...a human! "Ahm," she uttered, caught off guard. How silly, she chastized herself, you're shocked by a human after all these Raevans. "Hello," she tried again lamely.

Soft woman's voice rang on his ears, turning toward the sound, the cook met the new face. She was a .. kinda cool women in his first impression, black hair with green eyes and four piecings... The cook stared at her in a bit surprise before knew what he was here for and replied back to her, "Hello miss, may I help you?" Forcing himself to smile sincerely with a soft voice, even he was still not used to meet new people.
