"Well, I'll eat pretty much anything, so it doesn't matter to me where we go. We can always just get something here or there....like there!" Kiba said and went over to a place that was selling shish-kabobs(?). "These are my favorite!" He paid for two and went back over to Shikamaru. "Would you like one? I got one with pork and one with beef."

Shikamaru nodded and took the pork kebab. "Thanks," he said, taking a bite of one. He started fishing through his yukata, looking for something. "Now if I could just find my wallet..."

"Well, if you can't find it, I'll buy you some food. You can always pay me back later." Kiba said in between bites of food. "I've got plenty of money with me so it won't be a problem."

"Well, I was gonna pay you back for this," Shikamaru sighed, giving up his search and taking another bite of pork. He looked around. None of the other booths seemed to be very interesting. "Hnn."

"No, don't worry about it, my treat." Kiba said and smiled. "Is there anything else you want? One of those isn't really much. Are you thirsty?" he looked around at the other booths, trying to decide if he wanted anything else as well.

Shikamaru finished off his snack and shook his head. "I'm fine," he said, even though he was a little thirsty. He wouldn't take charity. Maybe leave the work for his teammates, sure, but he never did like people paying for him.

Kiba went to another booth and bought a soda and a bottled water. "Here." He said and shoved the bottle into Shikamarus hand. "You really shouldn't turn away generosity when it comes to you, Shikamaru. You never know when it will come around again."

Shikamaru looked away, but took a sip of water anyways. "Does it matter if it comes around again?" he thought out loud. He turned back to Kiba. "What now?"

Kiba rolled his eyes as he shook his head. "Whatever. Shall we see if we can find some more of our friends or do you wanna go sit or something? There must be something else here that you're interested in."

"Or just someone," he mumbled under his breath. Shrugging, he then spoke loud enough for Kiba to hear him. "It's up to you, I don't mind either way."

Kiba found himself taking Shikamarus hand again as he walked down the isle, looking around for something else to do. I wonder what else he would like? If he liked the same kinds of things I do, this would be so much easier. "Hmm, you wouldn't happen to want to go for a ride on the merry-go-round, would you? I know it's more for kids but it's a nice relaxing ride."

Shikamaru subconsciously gripped onto Kiba's hand as he was led past the various booths. His skin was surprisingly soft.
Merry-go-round? Childish, but a lot less troublesome than most other things the festival had to offer. "Sure, whatever."

They only had to wait in line for a couple minuets before they got on. Kiba nodded towards some more older people who were also getting on the ride as it to say 'see, it's not just for kids'. He went over and climbed up onto a black horse and watched Shikamaru while he chose what he wanted.

Shikamaru took the horse beside Kiba, sitting sideways. It was white with a grey mane and tail, and there were ornate designs along the left hind leg. Leaning his head against the bar meant for holding, he sighed. "Do you think anyone else we know is here?" he asked, not really caring. "I haven't seen anybody. Then again, the crowds are pretty big."

"I'm sure they're here somewhere." Kiba said, and the ride started. "We could keep missing them. Is there someone specific you are looking for? I can help you look for 'em if you want."
