"Heh," Enzo started, but instead grunted and winced when he was hefted up by the belt and carried around the room amid many a profanity. He was having a bit of a wedgie problem, and was not going to be able to mention it over Cherokee's bellows. He tried anyway though. Needless to say, it was a very loud apartment.
But, he was shifted to under Cherokee's arm and fell silent as the big guy spoke once more into the phone. They waited a long, LONG time for her answer, but even Enzo could hear it over the phone, an answer to which he grinned. "There, see? Nothin' to it." He wheezed when Cherokee tightened his grip around the smaller man's middle. "Okay, ow, you can let me go now, yeah?" Enzo wriggled about a little bit to see if he could free himself.
Somehow, he managed it. And fell with a hefty 'thump' onto the dirty floor, hopping right back up the moment he landed. He dusted his shirt off and fixed his pants (which had been pulled up to his rib cage) just as a very bright Amma appeared in the doorway, looking ready for a hug or something.
A rather odd expression washed over Enzo's face, and he simply stared at her for a moment before falling into a fit of laughter at the predicament they were in. The leader... the LEADER of their number one rival gang was standing in HIS doorway. And she looked happy to see them. "Oh Cherokee, the world has gone to s**t, hasn't it? It really has." That said, he walked slowly over to the mattress and with a hand to his head, plopped down onto the worn fabric, finally seeming to have calmed down a bit.
((Haha THAR.))

((I'm posting, and there is NOTHING you can do about it! Kay? ;D *has been drawing Amma too much...so unhealthy. And I can never get her right*))
Amma frowned at Enzo as he spoke and she snarled at him. "Hey you, druggie, shut up." She said and put the stuff down on the nearest surface she could find. She grabbed the lighter from the gas station bag and pulled a f** (as they so kindly called cigarettes in Ireland,) and lit it up. She shoved the pack and lighter into the bag and took a huge drag of it. The embers moving a good length towards her mouth. She flicked the ashes into the trash...which could really be the floor in this case.
"If you think you're world has GONE to s**t, mine already has been. So stop your complaining and pass out or something. Do you some good." Finally she closed the door with her bare feet and turned towards Cherokee, smiling at him like a little girl.
"Big guy!" She exclaimed, patting his stomach. After all, he was a good foot taller than her, the nearest thing was his abdomen area. "I needed this, I really did. I thought I was going to commit suicide..." She thought on that for a minute. "And here I am with the cause of those thoughts...hmmm...goes to show something doesn't it?" Shrugging she bent over and began picking up trash from the floor, doing something active to keep her mind off the many things that pulled at her.
"This place is beastly..." Laughing she pulled up a shirt and laid it on Enzo's head and started to happily pile more dirty clothes ontop of the poor man.

((Hahaha, maw maw... sorreh... I had work the passed two days and then I had this art assignment of doom I needed to get done... so pretty much I've been WORKING NON-STOP UNTIL NOW! So I post! WOO!))
Cherokee hardly contained himself at Amma's prolonged silence over the phone. Now he knew how Enzo felt when he did the same thing to him. He'd make note not to do it as often when his friend was in one of his moods. Though, when she agreed he exhaled and merely hung up the phone. He seemed much more himself after a moment of rubbing at his forehead.
"Christ." Is what he said, and then fixed his even gaze on Enzo. He looked irratated at his words. "I'll kill you." He said simply.
But no killing was to be had, for Enzo had escaped from his grip and no sooner had he readjusted his pants and Cherokee had gone off to maybe wash his face... or something; He wasn't sure, but he felt the need to do something... it was then that Amma burst through the door bright and smiling.
Enzo was quick to burst into a fit of laughter. Cherokee had to chuckle a bit himself. The situation was TERRIBLY funny, an almost deadly funny. He felt as though at any moment anyone of them would be shot just for HAVING this moment, but no such thing happened. Amma was just there, smiling and glad to be alive it seemed.
Though, then she snarled rather agressivly at Enzo's comment. Cherokee's mouth twitched slightly, and then he broke out into a full blown smile at her much kinder tone towards him and pat on the stomach. He glanced over at Enzo as though to say: Oh yeah, you're a REAL lady's man.
"That one chick." He had to say in response to her 'big guy' comment. He might have patted her on the head, but he refrained... and he was rather confused at her next words. He wasn't too sure what to say to that. He settled for a shrug and slightly puzzled expression.
"You're welcome." He offered bluntly, even though it had been Enzo whom had gotten her over here in the first place.
Though, Amma was already moving along and otherwise piling Enzo with dirty laundry. Cherokee raised his eyebrows slightly, and let loose a laugh. "Don't mess with him... he's in a good place right now. We don't mess with Enzo when he's in his good place." He said of the pile of clothes that had once been Enzo.
To take her attention off this little activity he strode over to the bags she had brought. "What'd you bring?" He wanted to know, and without her consent began rifling through her things.
((HOW RUDE!... hahaha, I know that post kinda sucks... FORGIVE ME! I'll be better next time! T.T))

Amma put a sock on Enzo before quitting and turning around.
"Birth control and large sized condoms." She said blatantly before blowing some smoke through her full lips and sitting down in the middle of the room.

((HAWHAWHAW I POST NOWS! : D ))
Enzo glared, "You have no right to-" But he stopped. She wasn't listening. Instead, she was rummaging through her bag, producing a lighter and cigarette, and proceeded to light it. Then, in a mere moment, she went from being crass, rude, and quite dislikable to a charming, bubbly young lady chatting about suicides gracefully averted. It made him want to throw up.
But, that wouldn't do him much good, so instead he focused on the heightened feeling the drugs he'd just taken gave him, and took a few deep, long breaths. It was a nice relief to simply just lay there and feel warm, floaty, and care-free. He felt far more calm than was normal... Maybe a trip was better for him than he'd thought. That's right, Enzo... Don't bother with the chick or Cherokee... Simply lay there, let eeeeeeverything go.
Ignore those clothes... He gave a twitch. What was she DOING? Piling clothes on top of him. What the hell? He'd just done laundry... Oh yeah, and dropped them all over the floor. At least they smelled okay... Sorta. HAD he done laundry? Maybe he'd just meant to. The young man gave a sigh that fell way to quiet giggles beneath his clothes, only half hearing what was going on around him. He caught Cherokee's gaze and winked stupidly back, only to prop himself up on his elbows and give Amma a bit of a glare, "Do as he says, ya little..." He trailed off as he plopped back down on the mattress, muttering something incoherently.
At her announcement as to what was in the bag, Enzo gave a shout of a laugh, clutching at his stomach with both hands; he was very very close to kicking about with his feet too. "I GUESS SHE IS THE SORT FOR SEX ON THE FIRST DATE!" He managed, his laughs going towards the end of the silent, painful type. "You might want to be careful though, Cherokee's a bit of a stiff." Whether or not that might have actually been funny, Enzo sure thought so, and was once more prisoner to his own laughter. They sounded more like hiccups than anything.
After a moment, he regained himself and slowly sat up, " But none of that's going to happen in my apartment... And put that out, yeah?" He waved a hand at Amma's cig, "No smoking in here. Cherokee already knows that." He seemed quite serious with this statement, and gave a dark-eyed frown to back it up. "I was the one to invite you here, and you'd best learn some respect. You may get it all the time, but it's something that needs to be returned too. Now PUT IT OUT." That said, he flopped backwards again and gave a sigh; he could feel the high wearing off... It had only been a couple hours... "Meh."
((haha wow, that was a whole big 'ol load of WORTHLESSNESS AND NOTHINGS! Sorry, haha I didn't have much to respond to... Hmm. Haha his high's probably gonna wear off soon... *wonders* Lol I need to draw him... ANYWAY THERE YOU GO! WOO! Haha or something.))

((OMG WRITE AKA, WRITE!))
At the response of what was in the bag Cherokee was very quick to stop his rummaging. His hands retreated from the plastic bag and he took a few steps back, his face not quite sure what expression to make, or what expression not to make. Enzo seemed to know what to do, he was laughing and yelling wildly. Cherokee put a hand over his eyes looking oddly red. He was hoping there was just food in there.
He glanced at Amma briefly, brow wrinkled and looking incredibly awkward and embarrassed before turning quickly away again.
"I hope those are for a friend of yours." He managed to say, back to both people in the room.
((hahahaha, he's so embarrassed! XD; ))
Though, Cherokee was saved from any further humilation by Enzo quickly growing grumpy with the things going about in his small and sorry hovel. He was quick to lay down some ground rules for Amma and flop back onto his matress.
He sighed looking relieved, running his hands through his hair. "Thank god." He muttered under his breath.
((TA DAH!...? o.O; ))

(( GO HERE!BECAUSE I SAID SO!)) Amma glared at Enzo and blew smoke through her nostrils. "Ya know...shooting stuff up your veins into your blood is worst than smoke." She said matter-of-factly. However she did as she was told and put the cigarette out by squeezing the tip, not minding the sting she got from the hot tip of it. She then threw it into the trash and looked towards Cherokee. "Awwwwwww." She squeeled jokingly and got up. Her left hand (with the ring that was in the shape of a scorpian on her middle finger) went through her thick, short, curly hair and walked over to the bag. "Is Cherokee embarassed?" She pulled out the content, chips, soda, and coffee. Laughing again she pulled open the chips and put one in her mouth. "I thought you might want something to eat. The coffee was GOING to be for Grumpy, the bitchy of the seven dwarves...but I dunno anymore." Her tone of voice was obviously laughter and she put another chip in her mouth. At that moment her cell phone went off, the rap music bursting through its small speaker. The face on Amma's face went from happy to nervous and she quickly pulled the phone from her short's pocket. Opening it up she took a deep breath and started towards the door. "What? I was sleeping." "The hell you were." Came a very angry voice. "Where are you? I told you NOT to leave your place! Those guys know who your are now." Amma frowned and her fingers twitched, wanting a cig. "I AM at my house. What are you spying on me now or something? You think I'd go to someone's house that I don't even know." "I'm in your room..." "s**t."

((Hahaha I have a feeling that Enzo doesn't much like Amma XD; Hopefully that'll change... O.o))
Enzo sat up again at Amma's comment, not quite realizing he'd put a hand over the crook of his arm; the place where most times he injected the deadly drug. "You don't think I know that?" He clenched his jaw and might have said more, but she put out the cig and started fawning over Cherokee again. Figuring that was the most he was going to get Amma to do anyway, he settled into his sitting position, running his hands almost nervously through his hair.
He flashed a half-smile at Cherokee, who obviously was far more a timid man than one would expect, and gave a chuckle, "You alright?"
While Enzo wasn't quite sure he liked Amma or hated her, he peered over at the bags, quite surprised she'd thought to buy him anything, whether or not he was actually going to get it.
But his thoughts were interrupted by a rather raucious song, its origin lying in Amma's cell phone. He frowned at hearing her end of the conversation. It was no doubt the 'big dog' as it were, and he knew she wasn't at her home.
And that meant things were turning sour really fast. Not daring to say anything, for fear of his voice being recognized, Enzo made a little shoo-ing motion with his hand. 'Go, I don't want any of us caught like this,' he mouthed, adding barely a whisper to his words, 'And don't let him know where you were.' The glare he backed those words up with was quite a frightening one.
Enzo looked over at Cherokee, raising his eyebrows. He hoped his friend would help escort Amma out of the room... And then turn around and come back to discuss certain matters. One being his potentially missing cell phone.
((haha thar? Something. Yes. I MIGHT ACTUALLY HAVE PLANS FOR THAT PHONE, HOMG!))

((WHEEE TYPINGS!))
Cherokee made a sort of stifled wincing expression at Amma's joking noise of adoration. He tried to keep his face unchanging, but seemed to be having a hard time of it.
"No." He managed through gritted teeth in response to her 'embarrassed' remark. "It's just warm in here." He said in his flat tone, which seemed to make that remark even more comical. He ran a hand through his hair once more, but was able to meet her eyes.
Though, as she produced the contents of the plastic bag, he put a hand to his forehead soundly. Though, he seemed strangely relieved. The corners of his mouth twitched into a smile. He then grabbed the bag of chips from her hands and easily helped himself to what was inside.
Cherokee nodded a thank you as he stuffed a few into his mouth and chewed (he had been hungry) but his eyes darted to her pocket as he cell phone went off. The light atmosphere seemed to vanish and the danger of their situation seemed to return ten fold, especially as it seemed that Darius seemed to know that Amma was out and not at home.
Enzo was quick to motion for Amma to get her a** out of the aparment. Cherokee was just as quick to hustle her out of the apartment physically and get her out the door.
It was cold out on the porch, a little bit of mist rising with each breath exhaled. A sort of wintry tinge was in the city air, and if one breathed deeply enough that might even smell it. Cherokee was not thinking of this, his mind was racing, which was not something that usually happened to him. He handled every situation that came his way with a sort of clamness and certainty. There were no right and wrong answers, just answers and those answers alone, and he acted upon them unflinchly, almost unfeeling.
He remained with her there brielfy, a mistake on his part he would think later, and glanced back through the door to Enzo but looked back to Amma, his blue eyes fixed on her mistmatched ones. He didn't know quite why he did what he did then, but by some raw force within him he found himself bent at his waist and kissing her quickly.
"I'll see you again." He didn't even whisper, his eyes fixed on hers with a promise, and vanished back through the door, closing it quietly behind him.
Somehow, this answer that he had acted upon was both very right and very wrong... and he found himself confused and reeling. He would never think himself to be so thrown by one woman.
((hhahaha, he is seriously confused with himself. WOMEN ARE EVUL. They mess things up for serious XD *laughs*))

((OH MY GAH! *giggles and does a fangirlish act* Waiiiiiii! Ahhhhhh I loved that. I loved it more than you know! *hugs Frank and licks* Haha I'm a romantic freak.))
Amma frowned, hands still nervously twitching. She saw Enzo's motion and nodded slowly, as though she were stunned by the fact Darius had called her. Why wouldn't he have? She was so stupid to think she could have one night free of anything, just to be a normal person, not a leader of one of the largest gangs in Chicago, not someone whose name was feared by every family.
When Cherokee huddled her out she let him and continued to talk to Darius. "Okay, I'm not home, I wanted to go outside and walk a bit. Ya know, clear my head and my stomach. Heh." Her voice sounded true, but her face scrunched up and she winced at the cold, her arms and legs growing goosebumps.
"Walking?"
"Yeah yeah, walking. You know me, I like walks. You are the only that knows that, come on, Daddy." She said daddy sarcastically bit her lower lip. "Don't worry. I'll come home right now, okay? Will that make you happy?"
"It would. I'll be waiting."
"Okay Good bye..." She closed the phone and felt her heart drop. He didn't trust her. God, her best friend didn't trust her anymore. When she looked over to where Cherokee was standing she was somewhat suprised he was still there. She breathed out deeply, a cloud of breath come from her nose and mouth like the smoke she wanted desperatly. When she caught his eyes she quickly looked away.
"Look...I'm really sorry about all this. I just wish he wouldn't worry so much about me. I dunno why he is. He's like afraid you guys will kill me or something. Isn't that fu-" she cut off when he bent over and her eyes widened. "Hey what are you..." When his lips met her's she felt her body burst into flames and her brown cheeks turned rose red.
"Se...see ya..." She stammered as he walked through the door. She stood there for nearly five minutes, starring at the closed door. "Nice kisser." She said and smiled sadly before hopping down the steps and towards her car. She started it, turned the heat to high and screached out of the parking lot.

((Haha whee... XD))
Enzo had only partially been able to see what was going on outside his back door... But it was enough. He'd seen Cherokee bend down, and when he straightened again, the red cheeks Amma had gained weren't exactly from the chill of the air. He'd kissed her.
And the guilty look on Cherokee's face confirmed it.
"Cherokee..." Enzo muttered, climbing to his feet, two fingers pinching the bridge of his nose (another habit he'd formed: a tell tale sign that he was starting to stress about something). He took a deep breath and dropped his hand by his side, "What are you doing?"
Before the big guy could speak, Enzo continued, "It's AMMA, Cherokee. She's Sting's fecking LEADER. You can't DO this, man." He shook his head and started pacing the room, stepping around the junk with a highly practiced air. Obviously, pacing was one of his favorite pasttimes.
He then walked up to the far larger man, curled his hand into a fist, and planted it quite heavily over one of Cherokee's eyes. Enzo knew that was the only hit he'd probably land on his friend, and so didn't bother to try again. That, and his hand felt like it might have broken. No doubt it'd be bruised. "What the BLOODY FREAKING HELL ARE YOU THINKING?!"
"I KNOW I invited her over here, and that was a mistake... I shouldn't have, but-" he stopped himself. What was he going to say? The drugs made me do it? It sounded a little stupid. It WAS stupid. True, but stupid. "Well, I did. We should have stopped when we ran away... And now Darius knows she's been out. How long do you think it will be before he knows WHERE she was? And don't think just because SHE chose to go we'll be safe. I've heard stories, Cherokee, of him. He doesn't like his little baby to be touched. You're big, but he'll do you some damage. Probably of the irrepairable sort. Just think, yeah?" He ran his hand through his hair, "You have to be careful."
"And my phone's gone."

((Hahaha, omg... Borat... is... INSANE. THAT MOVIE WAS CRAZY! But anyways, now I type! AND YOU'RE WELCOME, J!))
As soon as Cherokee had stepped inside, Enzo's expression was enough to let him know that he was angry. There was also the fact he was pinching the bridge of his nose. Cherokee merely regaurded him in his even way, eyes fixed unflinchingly upon Enzo. At his question he knew not to answer, it wasn't a question that was really seeking an answer, it was only the beginning of a far bigger tirade, an opening to berate and to scold, to mentally and maybe even physically shake some sense into him.
As Cherokee figured Enzo went on. He watched him quietly, expression unchanging. Even when Enzo strode over to punch him above his eye, he only turned his head with the blow. He said no words and he had none until Enzo was entirely finished.
"I'm not thinking." Was his response. "I'm not..." And he could think of nothing else to explain himself. There was nothing. "There must be something wrong with me." He finished, and flashed his friend a smile full of confusion. "I'm not usually this stupid."
"But I'll see her again." And the way he said this assured his friend there was no way his mind could be changed. "My life is already not worth living... if I die... at least for once it would have been something for me, not for anyone else, not for the boss not for a deal... but for me." He paused, "But if it comes to your life... I'll drop it." He said quietly. "No girl is worth the amount of trust I have for you. You don't find people like that, Enzo... not here... not anywhere."
Cherokee then closed the subject having uttered more words in a minute than he had in a day. He then bent lightly to pick up the fallen bag of chips and stuck a few more in his mouth.... and then he punched Enzo in the arm.
"Ow." He said and rubbed at his forehead where he was sure a bruise would form in the morning.
Though then matters turned more serious. Cherokee's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean it's gone?"
((hahaha, wow, CHEROKEE SAID MANY WORDS! CRAZY!))

((I've never seen that movie...but all my friends have. So I feel left out. *sobs* It's so depressing! But I can say I've seen Breach. XD ))
Amma pulled up into the parking lot of the apartment complex. Everything around her seemed unimportant. It was a blessing that the streets were empty at 4 am, or else she'd have crashed more then once along the way. After she left Enzo's place she had a smile on her lips and felt warm (and not because of the blasting heat).
However that smile swept away when she looked up at her window and saw the lights on. She had to deal with Darius now. Already a story was in her thoughts but she doubted he'd beleive her when he could see her face to face. They knew each other for nearly 5 years now, and he knew every single expression of her's and the look of her eyes, which right now were bright and burning full of fire.
Taking a long breath she opened the door, locked the car, and started towards her apartment. While she walked through the cold air, she watched the clouds come from her mouth, trying not to think of anything else that happened or will happen in the very close future.
Getting to the door, she reached for the knob but it turned by itself first, a hand reached and grabbed her t-shirt and pulled her inside in one strong swift motion. She was flung to the ground and leaned over. A towering shadow on her shorter figure. The carpet beneath her felt rougher than normal as she starred at Darius.
"THE HELL WERE YOU?!" He yelled so loudly she felt as though she could die. Fear swelled in her chest, but she swallowed stood up and played it cool. She reached for her cigarettes but they were grabbed and crunched beneath tight dark fists. "You think you can play around, Amma Ashworth? You think you can go around acting like your someone normal? You AREN'T normal, you're the leader of our gang and you need to ACT like one."
"Like you?" Amma said so coldly that it could chill ice itself. Her eyes narrowed at Darius and she pulled her lips up in a snarl.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He demaned and grabbed her arm tightly, the pressure causing pain to rush into Amma's muscles and it was hard not to wince.
"Let go of me." She said angrily and pulled, but he wouldn't let go. "LET GO OF ME DARIUS!" She now screamed and punched his stomach hard enough that he reached for it and she got free. "What the hell are you thinking?! You are NOT my father! And if you were you wouldn't care about where I was at 4 a.m. So don't try to act like your all mighty over me. I'm an adult and I'll do what I WANT. Now GET OUT OF MY APARTMENT!" Her voice rolled angrily and her fists clenched, teeth grinding.
When he made no move she screamed at him. "I SAID GET OUT!" Before he moved he shoved her against the wall.
"You weren't out walking."
"I was." She said, the force of his push caused her head to bang against the hard wall. "Now get out. I don't care if you beleive me or not. Because it's the truth."
He grabbed her face, glared but said nothing. Finally letting go, he walked to the door, opened it, and then slammed it shut, the sound echoeing down the hall. When she heard him get into the elevator, she pulled off her clothes, walked to her bed, and fell into whatever comfort it provided. Tears swelled in her eyes and she fell asleep her cheeks becoming stained with a foreign liquid to her.
((Haha...I got carried away. >> And now I must go to bed! YAY DRAMA...*falls asleep herself* So darned tired...))

Enzo groaned and tugged at his hair, all effects of the drug he'd taken long gone. It would be a while before he'd start feeling the withdrawl effects, and it was in this in-between time he was the most effective in his dealings. In the clearest of mindsets. "Neither of us are thinking," he sighed, looking mentally weary, "And yes, normally you're not that stupid. That's what women do, ya know... They mess with you. Screw things up, yeah?"
He took a long, thoughtful breath at Cherokee's words. His friend was right... As stupid and dangerous and awful as things could turn out, he was right. "No... Our lives really aren't worth living... If you can find something to change that, then I suppose any risk is worth it..." He trailed off, slowing in his walking so he was instead standing, shuffling every once in a while in place. "Cherokee, that's stupid. You just said you need to do something for you... Don't stop on account of me. I already dragged myself into it when I invited the little bit- Amma over. You know how it goes when I'm on those STUPID highs." He sounded rather disgusted with himself.
"And ya know, that trust goes both ways... It doesn't matter how much a woman might mess your brain up, I know you've got a smart head on those shoulders. My brain might be screaming at me to stop this before it starts, but sometimes guts is the way to go. Maybe things will turn out, yeah?" He gave a quiet sort of laugh, "And thanks. You're the only one... the ONLY ONE who has ever stuck around. I don't wanna lose that and be alone again."
Enzo hadn't been expecting the punch. And unfortunately, it was the same arm that had been shot earlier that evening. So when the hit came, whether or not Cherokee meant it, it sent a sharp pain through Enzo's arm, all the way through the back of his head, and he let out a very girly sounding squeak before biting his lip and flopping onto his mattress, where he proceeded to give a sort of grunty-shout of pain into the worn fabric of his bed. A number of swear words were yelled into the floor, and only when his friend mentioned his phone did he sit up, still gritting his teeth and trying to not clutch at his arm.
"It's GONE." He muttered, double-checking his pockets. "I had it at the bar, and when I pulled that gun on those... stupid... Awww, s**t. It must have fallen out then. And then with Darius showing up..." Enzo's knuckle had found its way into his mouth, while his other hand pinched the bridge of his nose again. "If he got ahold of it..." The young man said around his knuckle, "We'd just better hope he didn't. First thing tomorrow, we have to find it." He didn't need to mention just how important that phone was. It had everthing to do with their gang... Numbers of all the members, a meticulously kept calendar of times on deals, places, what was happening... Without it, the gang would have fallen apart... And it was probably why Enzo had spent so much money on it. It was a lot neater than a planner or something equally as hindering. "We HAVE to find it. I really screwed up, man..." He half hoped it'd been left on the ground... Or maybe those stupid punks had picked it up. It would be easier to find and hold them hostage for it than the 'big dog...' Darius.
Enzo suddenly found he was on his feet and pacing again.
((hahaha why do I always have such screwed up characters? *pets Enzo* I LUFF MY POOR DRUGGIE!
Anyway... I kinda figure if maybe Darius got ahold of it, he'd try and meddle more... He'd probably figure out where Amma HAD gone... I dunno. It's all up in the air and FREE FOR THE WRITING! But yeah, it'd be like OMG PLOTNESS O.O Or something. WHEE *Scampers off to go eat something*))
