He had sort of, well, wandered off a bit after Raj had suddenly appeared and stopped Tsuzuki from screaming to much, he thought it'd all quiet down, really he did! Shes such a good actor, I'm the best! He grinned at the thought of finding such a good Bender to go along with this, and he was thinking that Raj would probably like her to a bit after she quieted down. He was wrong, that sure was a first. He was fiddling with his staff, when he turned around to see Tsuzuki on the ground, she looked, well, not that good, he couldnt tell if she was crying or not, and he spotted Raj well, not looking good. In a flash he had whipped his staff out, hurrying, but needing to look cool doing it, spun the staff in his hands and with a swift swing a blast of air jetted out, large, and fast it would meet and cancel out the Fire launched by Tsuzuki, and carry enough force to hopefully knock Raj to the floor of the boat, he'd have rathered to say, knock him overboard, but he didnt have that much time. "Yeehaw! Bowling for Benders!" He grinned while saying it, happy to be of service. Even if a bit late.

Raj fell back and tumbled over a couple of times, wincing when he hit the side of the boat. He stood slowly and shook his head, holding the side as he glared at Rei. "Brilliant plan leaving her hands at her front, airhead!" He ground out. "This wouldn't have happened if you used restraints better."
Pissed was the major understatement of Raj's mood right now. He headed off to go below deck so he wasn't tempted to go back to hitting Tsuzuki again. He wasn't even going to try touching her since any attempt to fix the restraints or replace the gag where it belonged could just as easily result in trying to strangle her. This was their hostage, he had to calm down so they could use her properly rather than just have a dead firebender.

Tsuzuki waited for another blow for a minute before realizing it wouldn't come. . . soon. She looked up to find her vision returning and smiled as the vision of the Airbender came, "You like my acting? I can cry on cue."

A couple hours after the encounter, Raj stumbled out from below deck and made his way over to the side, his dark skin slightly green from the seasickness. He leaned over immediately and made all sorts of unpleasant sounds as what little he had to eat before was sent right back out and into the ocean. It didn't help that the ship had begun moving as well. At least they were, so far, escaping with their prisoner.

"Seasick?" Tsuzuki's voice came from behind, "You'll get used to it. I mean, after sailing to the Norther Water Tribe and to the Earth Kingdom a few times, I have. I assume you're not from the Water Tribe and, seeing as how you dislike the Airbender so much, I'd say you're from the Earth Kingdom."
She felt a little weird talking to him but at least she was doing something.

Raj didn't pay attention to who he was talking to, thinking it was a female passenger or crew member talking to him. So why she wasn't tied up anymore didn't cross his mind in the least. "Only because I was born there...The Earth Kingdom would deny my existence given the chance...and I would reject that allegiance just as gladly..." He grumbled, coughing a bit and breathing a little oddly. He blamed his own people for his family dying. He was too weak to even fight a young firebender, but the Earth soldiers could have put out the fire, they could've brought him at least one of his sisters.

Tsuzuki sensed a great deal of sadness about him as she answered, "Same thing with my hometown. My parents disowned me. . . about a month ago, actually. But we're not talking about me," she stopped in an upbeat tone, "I wanna know if you're an Earth Bender or what. I ask because I know a Water Bender who was born in the Earth Kingdom. . . an Air Bender too."

"Ah...Yes, I'm an earthbender. So I'm not much use out here disappointingly enough." He replied, sighing as he stood there. Raj was far past letting pride make him stand up and try to force himself not to vomit. Most of the people on board were there when they came, what wsa the point of trying to impress new people when he'd ultimately fail doing so?

She nodded and looked away when he threw up once more over the edge of the ship, "That's okay. It's not like you're going to be attacked way out here anyway. Besides, your Earth Bending teaches you useful punches and kicks. I know that my Fire Bending taught me many useful things. Unfortunately, though, I haven't quite mastered it yet."

Raj's eyes narrowed a bit as he tried to look at her. Logic would have said she couldn't have recognized him to say that so casually. He just spat into the water and let out a slight growl. "Firebenders..."

The way he reacted immediately caught Tsuzuki's attention. Most people did dislike firebenders because of the war that had taken place during Avatar Aang's lifetime but they didn't usually make such a big deal about it. She sighed, "And what do you hate about firebenders?"

Raj glanced at her from the corner of his eye, then pulled his left shackle back to show her a burned ring around his wrist. "To everyone else, it's just a ringed scar...But my 'masters' always told me it was an 'O.'" He took a deep breath and turned around to lean against the railing since he had a rare moment of a calm stomach. "They had four different sections. 'O' slaves, 'Z' slaves, 'A' slaves and 'I' slaves. Whenever there was some big ceremony they would group one from each part together and I was always at the front of my line." He stuck his hand out slowly, closing it into a fist.
"No matter how long it's been, I always remember how it went. I put my hand out, the others just held theirs up, showing the backs of their hands with their letters." He explained, slumping down a bit from how badly his stomach and throat hurt from vomiting so much. "'O-Z-A-I...Pray for one day...the return of Ozai...'" He recited slowly. "That was the only time we were ever allowed to say that word..." He looked up at Tsuzuki. "You're a firebender. What's an 'ozai'?"

Tsuzuki sighed and looked away, "Fire Lord Ozai, Father of Fire Lord Zuko (the burned king) and Princess Azula, was the Fire Lord that made the decisions towards the end of the Fire War that cost so many lives of innocents. . . As well as so many lives today. Thank the spirits that Avatar Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Prince Iroh, and Fire Lord Zuko were there to stop him from ruling the world."
She walked closer to him, coming out of the shadows that concieled her identity, and touched his burned finger softly. "I'm sorry about everything the Fire Nation's done to you," she said, knowing that it wouldn't make all of the horrible things that happened to him go away.

((I am SO bored right now burning_eyes The war still hasn't started and I'm about to go crazy scream So I'm just gonna train right now to get up to level 7. Hope you guys don't mind. sweatdrop ))
Tsuzuki turned around, too embarassed to say another word to Raj and a little afraid too. She hurried below deck, not really afraid of any attacks from behind because, as he had said, he was an earthbender and there wasn't much earth out in the middle of the ocean. There wasn't much below deck besides a few rooms. At the end of the hallway, there was a completely empty room large enough to train in without a huge risk towards her health. As she entered, she shut and locked the door behind her.
After a moment of complete silence, she raised her arm slightly and did a chop in the air much like an earthbender would do to clear rocks infront of them. It was foreign to her body and, at first, no fire came from it. "Crap," she said as she tried again unsuccessfully.
After she had failed a fifth time, she tried something different with her muscles. Normally, for firebending, one had to loosen their muscles while making the motion but immediately harden them as soon as they wanted to release fire. With waterbending form, one had to keep a small amount of tenseness in their muscles during the entirity of the move. So, it would only make sense that, with earthbending, she would need to keep her muscles extremely tense the entire time to get any result. At first, when she tried this, nothing happened. But, around the third time, a small amount of fire scattered from her fingertips.

Tsuzuki repeted this movement almost exactly every time until, after the twentieth time, her wrist popped causing her to clutch it in slight pain. She rotated it smoothly and mumbled to herself, "Might as well just keep to firebending form for now."
She moved her arms in circles, stretching her shoulder blades and how flexible she was in her arms, before she closed her eyes for a moment and thought about what she wanted to concentrate on and decided she might as well practice the basics first. She crouched into a normal firebending possition and began breathing in through her nose and out through her mouth. It wasn't as hard as the first time she had started breathing practice so many years before. Every few minutes, she moved her stance to make herself more balanced. Wider. Shorter. Wider. Shorter. She could almost never make up her mind when it came to possitioning things, especially herself.
