I can't think of any particualr time I was against it...I was raise in a very strict mormon house and those kinds of things were taboo. xp But i've always wondered about it...I'm not good with slashing...I guess that has to do with how I was raised...
Shonen ai and yaoi...well! I came into contact with that when i watched DNAngel for the first time! whee And I loved it! I was a bit confused as to why this was so wrong, (and started wondering about my religion) and slowly, over the years, I've explored deeper into this paradise called "yaoi". Today, I have yaoi pictures on my computer (thanks to you guys! i love you guys!), I own several mangas that have everything from obviously yaoi to subtle shonen ai, and heck, i even have a shonen ai poster on my wall!
My two best friends, sadly enough, started wondering about my orientation after seeing the kinds of things i watch/read/look at. But one of them is bi, so it didn't take much except "Love is Love" and "Me? Lesbian? ::insert gigglesnort here:: Nope." to convince my other friend.

I have to say like 5 or so years ago. I wasn't into it. i hated it with a firey passion. well kind of, the first pairing i ever came across was duo and heero. i was replusled and disguested and i remember flames left on stories on fanfiction. wish i knew who theyw ere too so i could apologise. but yeah, thats when i first started gettign into fanfiction and was just tryign tor ead some good stories. a lot of them had heero and duo and id stop reading. btu a few times i went back because the story was just too good. and then i don't remember when it changed ^_^ and i just really loved the pairing after and never wnated them to be seperated. and now i am a total yaoi fan and don't know how id live without it ^^.

I used to hate it like...like really bad....
And then I saw a Roy/Ed picture one day, and said, "Oh no! Shield your eyes!"
I peeked. And then I couldn't keep staring.
It was so friggin' hot!

To be honest I wasn't appalled by it at all. *probably getting a look like this-> " stare "* No, really....the truth is when I first heard about it, I was more intrigued than scared/grossed out. (Actually that's how I react to a lot things when I think about it...)
But I decided to find out by getting my hands on some. All it took was the first episode of Gravitation, and I was immediately hooked on to yaoi. It's become a juicy personal fetish for me, a drug to really satisfy my new found thirst for boyXboy love razz twisted (tsch, boys aren't the only ones who get a kick out of same sex lovin' wink )

Well.
When I was....about 12 is when this story starts.
I see yaoi fanart. Naturally, I feel......sorta shocked and intrigued at the same time. Yet I didn't really think it was bad...
Although my friends openly bashed it, so I just put it to the back of my head and tried my best not to look at it.
Yet I couldn't seem to help it. By the time I was....13 and a half, I would sometimes wander in to read slashfics and the like....
And so I just decided not to tell my friends.
But by the time I was 14, it was getting hard to just do it once every.....month, so I did a little more.
Then I got hooked.
Thankfully, my friends don't care anymore, and they're just like, "8D that's nice."

I hate to admit it but yes crying . when i was younger i saw 2 men making out on tv and was like "eww!!! thats GROSS!!!". but now i cant seem to get enough!!!! Damn yaoi is addincting xd heart heart heart heart heart

I didnt even know what Yaoi was for a long time until oneday I was looking for some Subaru/Seishioru pictures for fun. When I was searching online I came across a link on yahoo so I clicked it and I came to a fanfic about them so I read it and liked it alot. After reading the fanfic and some others I wanted to buy my first Yaoi manga so I went to Waldenbooks. I found all theses different titles trying to find a good book to read when I finally found one called Desire. When I got done buying it I opened it my eyes went wide and I just couldnt believe how interesting the pictures were. Once I was done I was like I have to buy another one soon. So after that I bought my second Yaoi which was called Selfish Love which was also lots of fun to read. Evern since then I have been addicted to Yaoi, Boys Love and June.

Hm..well yeah, I think I used to be against yaoi. sweatdrop But not for long though. I was reading an online comic,that included some yaoi& B.L scenes and since I loved the story,and didnt feel like stopping just cause of some pictures,I kept on reading it anyway.
Well,at one point,I started looking forward to those kind of pictures lol
it just takes time getting used to,I guess.

Some years ago, you could say that I was against it, but was more afraid I think would be the more accurate word. ^^; It just wasn't something that I was interested in at the time and I had nothing against people who did like it.
Then, at some point, one of my friends began showing me pictures (no yaoi, yet) and just kept throwing them at me until the hesitation I'd had before started slipping away and I gradually came to like shounen-ai and some yaoi; still not a hardcore yaoi fan even now. I like fluff and cute more. :3
I think it also appealed to me because I can only draw guys and so this allowed me to easily draw couples. XD;
I really don't remember how I came to like shounen-ai and yaoi...but I'm sure not complaining. XD;

I never knew about yaoi untill the last 3 years (when I actually got in contact with manga and anime) and my whole attitude towards it was like "uh...ok...ummm...-nervousblushfaints-" at first.
I thought it was something strange and out of the ordinary and such. But then I watched some shounen-ai anime and I liked it. After that it just continued with more shounen-ai and then finally onto yaoi. So now I'm addicted and love it. pirate
( I think I've always been the perv I am now, only that side of me was lurking deep underneath my Mary Sue-ish fasade, just waiting to be triggered. twisted )

when i first heard of it, i was all against it 100% but as time grew on, i started to read manga like loveless, descendants of darkness, fruits basket, and books like that, and then i just thought i was hot! i love it now! heart
