"Well we best get going. Only a few more hours before the sun starts to set and this place starts to get dangerous. You can always come if you like Larien."
Epotheros then dug his heel into Sadows flank, signaling to him that it was time to go. As the horse and cart started to move, Kamots jumped into the cart and layed down on the folded up blankets.

As they continued walking down the road, a foul odor filled the air. Not far down the road lied two corpses on the side of the road, seemingly accomodated after their death with their swords laid over their chests, gripped by their hands. However, the corpses were already decomposing, and they appeared to have been chewed on by the beasts in the wilderness. Not only that, there were claw marks along their armor that could have been the cause of their death.
A feeling of dread filled the air as well. For those who could sense subtle presences of energy, could sense the feelings of fear and bloodthirst that remained. Not only that, a feeling that something was watching them was also present. Something with a terrible bloodthirst.

As I saw the dead bodies I grasped the hilt of one of my swords I could since something evil it was close but something about it throw off my ability to fell magic so I couldn’t tell very much about it except it was near and it didn’t have good intentions for passing travelers I then approached the bodies I got off of my horse and walked up to the bodes I then knelt down and examined them closely I could that one of them was human and the other elf they wore the same type of armor but I didn’t recognize the markings on it a as I continued to look I noticed the deep gouges that went throw there armor it was obviously what had killed them I then started examining the ground around the bodies I could see the tracks of the elf and human I then fallowed them over to were the fight had taken place “who ever they people were they put up one hell of a fight” I thought to myself as I continued reading the tracks I then found were they had died surprisingly it was no were close to were we found them I then saw the drag marks from what ever killed them dragged them to the side of the rood were we found them then it hit me “the copses r a trap to get people to stop on the rood so this thing can then ambush them” I thought to myself “this is not good…” I yelled as i unsheathed one of my swords “we need to get out of here now!” I said irritably as I rushed back to my horse “we need to get out of here fast” I thought to myself

A gasp left Clover’s mouth when she saw the two lifeless figures. “Great,” she said sarcastically under her breath. Two bodies on the side of the road like this, how disrespectful, she thought to herself. Should we burry them? Her thoughts kept her mind busy until she realized the wind’s urgent tug and uneasiness.
Dread filled her body. The last time the wind was so persistent the town she was passing through was ransacked. She felt as if there was a rock in her gut, confused and worried. Clover watched as Tramer tracked the bodies’ movements, but she didn’t leave her saddle. No, she was too concerned to leave the safety of a quick escape. When she heard Tramer’s words of urgency she knew something was unsettling was about to happen.

From the tree branches above the road came the voice of Larien. "I could tell you what hunts you Epotheros but then I might miss the chance of seeing a good show before I retire to my home." Smirking at the travelers she showed no fear of what was lurking in the forest. She had no reason to fear the inhabitants. She was one with the forest and tended the habitat which kept the creatures alive. It was a strange and often fragile bond, but she did know that they were in danger. If things got too out of hand she would step in.

They could feel a malicious being staring towards them. Its gaze sent shivers down their spines, but its location remained unknown. The beast's gaze seemed to be everywhere, behind trees, bushes, and even ontop of trees. Suddenly, a hellish roar came from behind one of the bushes, echoing through the forest, and as it did, what they could've least expected happened. Half a dozen hellhounds had suddenly broken their cover and launched themselves towards them. The hellhounds had already split themselves up, two attacking each member. It appeared three of the hellhounds were attacking their corresponding targets by jumping down from the tree tops, while the other three charged towards them from the bushes.

"Hmph" I place both hands on the handles of my dragoon saber and katana, drawing them both in a simultanious action. As the blades were released from their scabards I pounced forward afew feet angeling my self with the hounds. I raised my left hand adjusting the armor piercing 43 inch blade of my dragoon saber on an crash course to the air born hell hound's jaws. In my right hand I swung my razor sharp katana balde behind me, my wrist resting against the left side of my rib cage in anticipation on the charging hell hound's direction of attack limiting his only clear shot a meager 120 degrees behind me.
The air born hound had no clear ability of evasion though he struggled in the air managing the dodge the blow to his head but still managing to skewer himself through the chest. See the demise of his comrade the other hound jumped back in hesitation. With a flik of my writst the body of the hell hound on my saber was flung off as the blade sliced part of its chest open. I then lower the tip to face its new opponet.
The Hound revaluated its situation to the best of it's ability but to no evail. Instead of retreating it used mear intuition and lunged. As it flew towards me I slamed my sabers point on top of its skll pinning him to ground. I flip upsidedown into the air me left hand supporting myself on the hilt of my saber as I slice off his head with the blade of my katana, ending his misery.

Clover gasped at the sight of the oncoming hellhounds and then her eyes narrowed. Clover grabbed the dagger from her side with one hand and grabbed an arrow from her quiver with the other. The hound attacking from above landed on Alfie‘s hindquarters and darted for Clover‘s throat. What awful beasts, she thought as she forced the dagger into the hellhound’s forehead. With a quick twisting action the hound’s brain was nothing but mush; Clover pushed the hound off to the side.
She then realized that another was attacking from the ground. Clover worried for Alfie, who was now attempting to run away with her on his back. Clover dismounted her horse and ran towards the second hound, the arrow from before still in her hand. The hellhound pinned her to the ground with ease, but when he attempted to tare into her flesh, Clover shoved the arrow into the hound’s mouth straight through its brain to the other side of its head. She released the arrow and left it.
Clover felt relieved, but keep her defenses up. She pushed the motionless body off of her own and slowly rose from the ground. She looked towards where Alfie had been. He was now behind a few dense trees hiding from the commotion. Clover hesitantly walked over to the first hellhound she killed and with some effort pulled her dagger out of its head. She wiped the blade on the hound’s leathery skin and returned it to its sheath.

As the group began to take care of the injuries inflicted by the hellhounds, there was a stirring in the nearby trees. Slowly, a strange black fog began to pour out of the trees. It floated over to the group and began to solidify a few paces before them. It began to take the form of a woman. Her features were hidden by the dark wine cloak she wore. Her robe was golden and in her fingers several rings shone. The entire outfit was usually worn by the High Magicians of Nimphel.
As soon as the black fog faded and the woman had finished taking shape, she suddenly knelt down. However, she quickly drew a rolled scroll that she had kept hidden between the ruffles in her robe and with the same drawing motion, unrolled it. She quickly placed it on the ground and pressed her hands against it. With a sudden burst of energy into the scroll, the writtings on it faded, and suddenly, a block of ground before her suddenly rose fourteen feet up. The block of earth and rock suddenly crumbled, leaving behind the figure of a ten feet tall troll. The sorceress smirked, and the troll's eyes suddenly opened, its rage visible in them. With a thundrous roar, the troll shivered violently, shaking off the last clumps of dirt that remained over its tough hide.
The sorceress then spoke a few words as she begain to vanish in a ploom of smoke, "I will leave this creature as a token of my appreciation, see you later children."

"This looks entertaining," Epotheros said with a smirk on his face that was still painted crimson from the hell hound's blood.
He then pulled his saber free from the hell hounds skull and charged towards the ten foot tall troll, launching himself into the air a few feet from were the beast stood. He crossed his two swords in an "x" shape across his chest, before releasing a powerful cutting attack. "Clang!!!" The sound of steel smacking against stone as a storm of sparks flew from the creatures body from were the two made contact.
"What!? Stone!?"
Epotheros was left to those two words when he saw his two blades had only penetrated a few inches into the trolls stoney hide. Epotheros started to pull his swords loose but was to late, because the troll raised its arm and flung him across the clearing and into a tree with a loud thud. As Epotheros slid down the trunk the force of the blow was enough to cause the tree to snap in half, the top part landing ontop of Epotheros.

Larien leapt down from the tree and placed both her hands on the trunk of the great Oak she was pertched in moments before. A green glow glided from the trunk and under the dirt from her hands towards the trolls feet. With a sudden explosion of Earth the trees roots freed themselves from the dirt and wrapped themselves around the trolls ankles. Larien knew the roots from the one tree would not last long against the stone troll. Whispering a spell the roots stayed taunt with out her touching the tree. Running over to the next closest tree she continued to do the same procedure only with branches. The troll was fighting the roots holding him violently and had snapped on root freeing one foot. The next trees branches managed to wrap themselves around his arms to hold him a bit more still. "Epotheros! Think of something QUICK! The trees will not last forever!"

A very sharp and quick spike of energy could be felt by anything in the area who could sense changes in magical power as the tree that was on top of Epotheros was suddenly incinerated with such an effective and quick burn that all the other vegitation around it was untouched. As He begain to get up, it was easy to tell just from the aura emmiting from him that he was clearly angered. Not at the fact he was thrown against a tree, but by the fact he was careless and that his carelessness caused him to get thrown against a tree by a lowly troll. He then raise his right arm into the air beside him as it errupted into flames forming a claw like figure around his hand.
"I'll finish him this time," he said before lunging at the troll with a very powerful bust of speed, pulling his flaming claw back into a standard punching stance. "Flaming Claw of the Dragon Lords!" he yelled before striking the beast's head. The heat from the attack was so immense that the stone the creature was made out of seemed to evaporate without turning into molten rock first.
As he flew past the stone troll he fell to the ground behind it, breathing heavely, his body starting to show signs of injury from being thrown against the tree. The troll itself also fell to its knees, headless and running out of magical energy but still thrashing about, its stoney hide also became more like flesh and easier to cut as the density of the magic became weaker.
"Someone finish that thing off!" he barked before landing face first into the dirt.
