...and kinda true and scary.

Except I don't think animals can be compared quite as well to babys as that. Me and my mum were talking the other day, and she has clear memories from under a year old, proving that babys do think for themselves, even if they can't communicate it.

Yeah, eating things is kinda necessary. We need the meat. But do we need to put animals through pain just so we can enjoy a better quality of life?

I don't even know why I said that. I don't know wtf my stance on animal testing is. ;/

I take my mum's point of view; if it's not neccessary to test it, then we don't use animals, ie; cosmetics.

Eating is rather a different issue, as animals eat each other, and it's a quick and hopefully painless death.

Wearing stuff... depends. If you're killing endangered animals for it, then no. If they're kept horribly, then no. If they're killed by some eskimo tribe for the food, then the skin used for other stuff, I see no problem in that. (And they couldn't live of plants xd )

And testing for life saving drugs... in some ways, it is neccessary. In others... should we be messing with nature? Should we use the knowledege we have to further it?

But if there was no clinical testing then 99% of medical advancement would stop.
