"Gridel, we were very competitive. Don't forget that. But our village will be fine. The nearest forest is just down the road. I will help you as much as I can with my magic."
Lady Serenity
(glares at Mako, then blushes)
"Uh, Princess Sweet. I think you should head back. Lady Mako can go with you guys if you'd like. I wish to speak with my father. Gridel, the castle isn't far, you should save your magic."
Lady Mako
"That is not possible. He was summoned by the king. Why do you think I was home instead of training? One of the king's servants came to our door shortly after you left for Princess Sweet's castle. He hasn't been back since."

I would love to have Serenity as an apprentice, but she does have to prove herself first, but that can be discussed later. Gather your men and steeds, Mako. We shall be on our way.

Lady Serenity
"Alright."
*runs to the stable, and gathers the horses there.*
*comes back minutes later with 50 horses*
"These are the healthy ones. The other 20 are sick."
MEANWHILE
IN THE VILLAGE
Lady Mako
"Hmm...just to my luck, they are all in the square."
(smiles and walks through the crowd)
"People of Lonecast, King Mordrid may be planning an attack. We must quickly prepare to depart. The sooner we can get to the castle the better. Princess Sweet has come to our village and asked for help. Let us leave and help protect their kingdom."
VILLAGE MAN: "The princess is in our village? What would make her come here?"
Lady Mako
"Most of you know my younger sister, Serenity. She went to the castle and offered our services. So, let us go and help the princess. Follow me."
*starts walking back to their home where everyone awaits*

SWEET Moylena and Serenity, come in and we shall be on our way. It will look suspicious if we do not return the way we came. **Moylena and Serenity enter the coach, coach departs** SWEET: Moylena, what is your opinion of the wizard and Mako? Do you think there is any way to avoid a war? I think that we should not "put all of our eggs in one basket" so to speak. MOYLENA: I will speak with Mako further and see if she is amenable to our alternate plan or if she has any other suggestions. SWEET: Serenity, what are your thoughts on this whole ordeal?

"Sweet. I...I don't know. My sister is very stubborn, and with this Gridel on our side, and her knowing them, seeing the rivalry in her eyes. I am not sure."
(looks up at Moylena then to Princess Sweet)
"I can only hope she will help."
(bows head back down thinking to herself)

**upon reaching the castle, all exit the coach. Looking up at the sky, Sweet notices the sun low on the horizon**
SWEET: Oh my, this day has gotten away from us. We still have the normal goings on of the castle to attend to. Moylena, please make sure that Cook knows that we have additional guests and then check on my father, all of this stress will get to him. Also, please make sure that guest chambers are made up for the Prince, Gridel, Serenity and Mako. Lastly, advise the guards that the village men will be arriving.
**Moylena nods in agreement and hurries off to do the princess' bidding**

Please feel free to roam the castle and its grounds as if it was your home. I shall be with you shortly.
**to the Prince**
Prince Mordrid, please accept my invitation to stay and come join my father and I for a drink before dinner so that we may discuss our plans further.

Hello Princess Damsel we have arrived. I see that you would like to avoid war, but who knows what King Mordrid might do in the future if he is not stopped now. I plan to make to ambushes and hold most of his army hostage, not killed. This way, we may force him to either flee or surrender, and a treaty can be made.
You do not have to worry about me, young Serenity. Your sister is just jealous of my talent and that I was our master's favorite student. But other than that, we get along quite fine.

Then once you have freshed yourself, I will introduce you to my father.

As for you, Mako, why is it a problem that I am taking Serenity as an apprentice? Are you afraid she will become more skilled than you one day? Or are you jealous that your sister is able to be my apprentice, even though she is less gifted than you?
