My Korean name's Park Hyun-Jin (yes, I put a hyphen in my name, I like it that way.) In Korean, it's 박현진. 朴 is the name of a tree, I think; 賢 is wise; and 珍 means treasure. It's actually used more for boys, but I like it anyways... I kinda get mad if Korean people call me by my American name instead of my Korean one. wink

my korean name is Choi Suh Kyung I could write it in korean, if i knew how to on the computer...............I wish it was my legal name........but my parents changed it when i was adopted MN has a lot of adopted koreans suprisingly.....

I think my birth mother's last name was Kim, too.
But someone before I moved named me Shin AE. My Cd/book program seems to think (from similarity in spelling and pronounciation) that it means "town center." The possibilities somewhat frighten me as I was adopted by American parents, and supposedly, all I know was that I was, on my paperwork, "abandoned". No idea of the situation, but I can only think poorly of it. More or less, I wish I could understand what my mother experienced and why..
