Mai felt as if she had been lifted of alot of stress as she opened her eyes. Her body couldn't move easily, she struggled to lift her arm as she got up. She stayed in her spot sitting down as she watched Ran and Kaosu duke it out. "Their spar seems to be starting off slowly," she thought looking towards the new guy who introduced himself as Haro.

"We have a new guy?" she uttered quietly but she fell back down and lay there taking nice slow breaths to regulate her heart beat. "Tsai, you still conscious?" she asked waiting for a reply. "I'll get you next time, you just got lucky this time". Mai didn't like to lose, or in this case tie up with someone who she probably could beat hands down with her zampakuto and zanjutsu abilities. Maybe she was slipping? She needed to work harder to become stronger. Tsai had also become stronger too, which was odd. The last time she saw him, he was barely a match for her. Now, he's playing at the same level as her.

Tsai opened his eyes again. Mai was awake as well. "Yeah," he replied to her first question. "Heh, maybe it was just luck or maybe your just starting to get shaky when it comes to fighting," he teased as he closed his eyes again. He was tired the company of Mai and the combat nearby was the only thing that kept him from falling asleep. "You know the Aozora Mountains? The place where you train? How many routes are there going up?" he asked, wondering if that was the perfect location to train himself.

"I want to do some training up there, and since you were familiar with the place, I thought maybe I should ask you before I did anything," he continued opening his eyes then turned his head and looked at her.

Kaosu layed there as he thought of what to do. He then went into a backwards somersault and backed away from Ran for a moment. Okay, Tsai, this would be one of those 'storybook' moments when something you told me pops into my head and a miracle occurs.

Kaosu stood a moment, crouched low. Nothing came to him. Fiction sucks. Kaosu thought as he stood and then began circling Ran, thinking of what to do next. Aww...screw it.

Kaosu jumped back and launched himself off the mat right at Ran. I don't care how tired I am now, I'll continue! He spun his body around and aimed a shot of his foot right at her head. He, however, didn't intend that as his attack. At the last second, he pulled the foot away and went for a kick, right at her stomach.

Haro smirked as he saw Tsai's eyes fall upon him and there was definately something different about his own eyes. He just looked to him and he smirked slightly as he looked ot the floor. He closed his eyes as he watched the fight before him and the symbols that were seemingly 'tatooed' across his body began to slip-slide around his body like they did before every one of his fights, this was something Tsai would never have the chance to research and figure out, unless he decided to tell him himself and that was not something he planned to do before Tsai became quite the good friend. Nobody ever really got the chance to become his friend either, it was hard work to do something like that, and he didn't truely know anyone here. He just cracked his neck and his hands moved like a blur, something they couldn't do when they were holding a zanpakutou. They struck the bag ten times a second at the slow rate he was going; the quick-jab boxing style.

He was hidden from Tsai's sight however, on the other side of the bag, and he finshed it off by slamming both fists forwards and hitting square on side by side, sending the bag swinging and he grabbed it and held it still. Haro needed to train far more, but for now he was ready to just hit the punching bag...untill a more interesting target came along. When would another student get there? If not soon he would have to leave and do some self-training, since there wasn't really a group he could go with. He would wait another twenty minutes at most before he left this place, the class could be taken later.

((twenty minutes is actually 2 days in reality hahaha...but being him I would definately not sit there for 48 hours waiting xp ))

What Tsai had said wasn't too far off the mark, actually. Ran was going to attempt to end it, and end it quickly. Rather than backing off, as most fighters did, she did the same thing Tsai would have recognized that she did. She pressed the advantage to stay inside the movement range of the other fighter, and as he ended up on the floor, she was moving over him, vaulting forward to one hand, only to pivot back to her feet just as he somersaulted away, and moved forward to strike her with the kick.

And strangely, she allowed it, knowing that she'd take a blow anyway. This was a maneuver she'd seen Megumi use, and she'd been prepared for it, anticipating it, in fact. When his foot connected with her stomach, she wrapped both hands around his ankle, and using the backward momentum of the strike, spun herself around, using the very force of his kick to send him vaulting across the floor just above it, where she was quickly following, bouncing from place to place, a little extra speed added to her movement, and she was there, barely away from him as her hand drew back, and she aimed a strike directly at his face, the tattoo, of all things, on her back, was starting to glow very faintly.

Her voice was soft, and held none of it's usual candor, instead, it was darker, and detached.

"Sou..." 'Suffer'

Maybe there was more to Ran than meets the eye. And if she managed to hit his face, she'd shift direction, foot aimed to slam downward into his stomach, which would vault her back into the air, and past him, as he would move to hit the ground. She just had to get her timing right.

Ran sacrificed the hit in order to grapple him successfully. Since it isn't really a 'hit' when you grapple, she still is permitted her two attacks, since the grab & throw does no actual damage.]

Kaosu wondered why Ran didn't just dodge it like he knew she would, but it was all clear when she grabbed his ankle. She sacrificed her body to attack me...wow. Kaosu, however, didn't have time to ponder further. He corrected himself in the air and winced. He was starting to hurt. Just hold on a little longer.

He looked straight into Ran's eyes as she came at him, and waited for her next move. When she tensed her arm for the swing, Kaosu noticed it. His eyes widened. Hey! I noticed it! Wahoo! Kaosu caught the swing with both his hands, scheming just a little in his head. Then, when Ran went to kick his stomach, Kaosu jumped up and away from the swing, still holding onto Ran's fist.
