Shawna's breathing became shallower and she wasn't sure whether to kiss this girl or not. She wanted to, oh yes, but she didn't know if Rose felt the same. Instead, she ran her fingers through Rose's hair

Shawna kissed Rose passionately, and then backed off. Looking quite surprised and a bit shocked she felt stupid.

Shawna sighed deeply with relief. "Oh I..." She felt even more stupid now. For a moment she looked away, but didn't want to give Rose the wrong impression so she looked back at her. Shawna smiled a little, but that smile was gone quickly as she heard someone coming up the stairs.
"Oh no..."
Her face had turned completely white and she felt really sick all of a sudden.

Tears came into Shawna's eyes, she knew what could be coming, but she still felt safe. Somehow she felt Rose could take her father on.
She heard her father get closer to the door and he opened it with a slam, causing Shawna to flinch.
"No!!"
