"Now lets see," she took out her map and began to follow the trail.

"It's getting dark," Kyna commented, almost to herself. "Maybe I should stop for the night. What's that over there?" she wondered aloud. "Ooo, a forest. That should be a good place to stop." She started to run toward it, but fell backwards as if she'd run into somethnig solid. "Hey!" she hissed. "You know better than that! Get out of the way." Gesturing sharply in front of her, Kyna walked through the area. "Hmph," she muttered. She walked the rest of the way through the forest. Air swirled about her, tossing her hair around and tugging at her clothes. "Really, now," Kyna scolded. "There's nothnig to be worried about." She put her hand out in a placating gesture. "Calm down, it's not like ther's anythnig in there that's gonna be able to kill me." She grinned cheerfully. "I've got you on my side, don't I?" The wind died down, slowly. Kyna walked the rest of the way into the forest, looking around wonderingly. "What pretty trees," she remarked. "Now, where can I sleep? May as well walk further, to see if I can find a place to sleep."

Miss Cat was finishing her meditation. She had been thinking about her family but she knew little and didn't really mind but sometimes she wanted to know more. As she opened up her eyes she realized it had gotten dark. "Silly me I lost track of time again" Cat said as she looked about. She headed towards her private cabin she had built near her favorite waterfall. She reached it and sat on the roof. She looked up at the sky which was decorated with stars. "Hmmmmm" She said as she watched them.

"Hey, stop gonig so fast!" Kyna called as the wind sped up in front of her. "Why do I have to race the wind whenever I want to get somewhere? Huh? Must you go so fast?" She sat down. "I give. I can't run any farther. I'm only human, you know, I need rest." Air swirled around her, playfully tugging at her hair. Kyna pulled up her hair and wrapped her clothes tightly around herself. "Silly," she scolded lightly. "Quit that." She looked around. "Pretty river," she remarked. She stood up. "Fine, fine, we'll go farther. But I can't see anything, so you'll have to guide me." The wind twitched her hair in front of her, passing her, and she took it as agreement. Then promptly walked into a tree. "Hey!" she exclaimed. "You're not a very good guide!" She was, briefly, grateful that she was alone in the forest. She'd rather people didn't see this one-sided conversation. She started to walk again, and this time she didn't smack into a tree. She tripped over a rock or two, but nothing big. Well, until she almost tumbled into the river. At which point the wind howled through the trees, as if with laughter. Kyna glared at the ground and kept walking.

"Well that's enough of that." Cat said as she lite her part of the area with her powers. "Can't stand to see those stars anymore...it's making me home sick." Cat got out her Flute and began to play. As she did she felt the wind play about.

"Hm?" Kyna looked around. "Am I imagining things, or do I hear a flute?" The wind started to flow in a certain direction, and Kyna followed it. She saw a person sitting on the roof of a cabin, playing a flute. "Hi!" Kyna called. "How are you doing tonight? You're really good at playing the flute! My name's Kyna, what's yours?"

"Everyone calls me Miss Cat" Cat said as she stopped playing and looked at the girl. "You are human are you not? This place is dangerous for humans." Cat said as she hopped off her roof and landed. "Some people disappear forever here..."

"Is it really?" Kyna asked flippantly. "I think I'll be fine. I get plenty of advance warning from things sneaking up on me." She grinned. "There are a few things that nothing can escape from. I happen to be friends with one of them. You libe here? What's this forest called?"

"I don't live here...it's more of a get away....but still I do not like the Idea of you here alone...If you like you can stay the night here...I don't use it anyways..." Cat said as she miraculously jump to the roof and began to play again.

Kyna tilted her head to stare up at the strange woman. "Hm," she mumbled. Louder, she called, "I think I'll keep walking. Do you know where there's a city? One that has an inn or some other place to stay, preferably."

"An inn? I own an Inn up in Yakoi City...It's the only City in miles." Cat said as she hopped down again "I'll be happy to take you there myself. I tire of being alone..." Cat suddenly changed into her for form "I'll take you there but you better keep up...If you can't I'll carry you." She said in a deeper voice since in Wolf form.

"I think I'll go on my own two legs," Kyna said. "It's really quite amazing, the shape you get in when you race the wind every day." She smiled at the wolf. "Why are you called Miss Cat if you're a wolf?" Kyna asked thoughtlessly. She covered her mouth with her hands, saying in a muffled voice, "Sorry, I shouldn't have asked that. How about we just start going, and we can both pretend I never asked that?"
((Must be going now, I'll be back tomorrow. Maybe later tonight, if I'm lucky.))
