Naida ran into the den for a moment to check on her daughter, taking no notice of the cubs who were visible in the nearest corner before hurrying just as quickly out. "I'm really sorry to ask this of you, but there is little time and this next part will be very hard. Santos, Nimbus...I need you to dig a hole...deep enough that no predators will find it also perhaps some rocks to put over top of it as well. Due to Sienna's condition, I aslo ask you not to enter no matter what you hear until I give the all clear, but please...don't go far." If they had any questions what the hole would be for, it would be evident soon. Her intetions were to take the cubs away as soon as she could from Sienna so that her daughter could heal. She feared what the sight of the cubs would do to her, and had no idea how this might go down, after all a mother with cubs was a dangerous thing, and a mentally unstable one with stillborn cubs could be ten times worse. Ultimately, she needed Santos and Nimbus to bury the cubs, since this would be way to hard for her to do on her own as the grandmother of the poor things, and she hoped that the boys understood without her having to say it aloud. Saying aloud just hurt too much and made it way too final in her mind.
Anyways, the time had come and so Naida walked back into the den to take her station near the entrance until the time to act arrived.

Santos and Nimbus didn't even have to ask. They were both well on their game and new exactly what it was for. "Yes ma'am." Nimbus replied with a respectful bow of his head. He didn't want the grave too near the dens, it would be stressful, but he wanted it close enough so it was easily visitable.... That's it! The tree by the watering hole! He lead his father striaght there and without a word dug his claws into the dirt.
Santos followed Nimbus and flexed his muscles, extending his claws. He should have brought Razi.. this was the kind of rigorous work he could do in mere seconds. He began to work his claws into the dirt, his hard earned muscles rippling from the effort. It took a while before they really started getting progress, but before long they had a decent width hole, deep enough to be out of reach of mangy scavangers. "You get the rocks, I'll find herbs to calm Sienna's nerves when labor is over.. Aquos will probably need some too." And with that, he was off again. Lion on a mission.

To be truthful, Awuos had no clue what to do. He hadn't been their when his sons were born, or his daughters. This was really new to him. He felt usless and hell, he was being it it too. "It ok Sienna..Your doing fine." he hoped...It sounded like the right thing to say..."It'll all be over soon..."

Sienna was now only barely aware of her mother's coming and going, and her mate's return and attempts to soothe her. They were coming hard and fast and it seemed like forever before she finally got the urge to push (it was more like an hour after Aquos's return) and the first of her offspring were born. Instinctivly, she gathered the cub to her and cleaned it off revealing a cub who looked so nearly like a mirror image of his father it was heart breaking. Twice more she went through this procedure, the second cub revealing itself to be masked like her mother but in a pretty mixture of green and purple, and the third looking like a gorgeous combination of both her parents.
The ordeal was over in one way, but it had yet to play itself out totally for now some part of Sienna's mind had snapped, believing her cubs were going to live after all as she worked resolutely over them trying to get their lifeless bodies to breath. Her mind kept telling her no cubs who looked so perfectly formed could be dead...no cubs! They would breath! She'd make them...
"Sienna." Naida got up and lowered her head to nuzzle her daughter, trying to bring her back to reality.
Sienna lashed out fiercly and growled at her mother, keeping her at bay. "They're mine! You're not getting my cubs!" She honestly didn't recognize her mother, only seeing her as a threat to her little family. Heck she barely recognized Aquos, but that wouldn't stop her if he did anything threatening (no matter how innocent the gesture was). She was their mama and no one would hurt these cubs!
Naida passed one look of determination to Aquos (hoping he'd get the clue to not do anything stupid and would back off), and then pouced on Sienna before she could react. Her daughter did get a very good swipe at her face, leaving claw marks down her cheek, but Sienna's exhaustion played to Naida's advantage, and it wasn't but a moment after a the "cat fight" that she was pinned beneath her blue paws. Glaring down at Sienna, she said with a low (yet loving) growl, "Sienna, snap out of it!" She glared down at her daughter who returned her gaze with such venemince it was scary, still she did not flinch.
Sienna was in a rage to murder this....lion...this abomination who had her pinned to the ground. She stared back, but finally....she calmed slowly down and everything began to come slowly back to her with the pain of her mother's claws in her shoulders. Laying her head on the ground utterly defeated, she stared for a moment at the still and lifeless bodies of her cubs and began to bawl like a baby.
Naida, satisfied that the worst was over, licked her daughter's cheek and said, "I'm sorry, Sienna...I really am." Carefully she got off her daughter and began to carry the cubs out to the entrance of the den where she hoped Nimbus and Santos would bury them. She would keep Aquos and Sienna in here till the job was done...it would be too hard for them to see what happened, not to mention including herself. These were, after all, the first grandcubs she'd ever lost and the thought struck her hard in the heart. She would ask Nimbus to take to the grave when it was covered. Sienna and her mate needed to have closure.
While Naida was gone, a little cub made her presence known by walking slowly towards her mother and father and began saying, "Mama...Daddy...we don' blame you for what happened, please don't cry. We love you...love you very much. We know how hard losing us was to you, and we've been watching over you and Stryker and Dotty everyday since we died...Mama, please don't cry." Walking the rest of the way to Sienna, she made herself as solid as she could and licked her mother's nose. "We may be gone physically, but we're still here in spirit and always will be."
Cosmo made his way over to his mother as well, pushing Rosa before him. "See mom? See dad? We're still here...we're just...different." Disappearing and reapearing in front of his father, he bowed his head and said, "I'm sorry we didn't make our presence known to you sooner, just...wasn't sure if we should. We've been talking and playing with Stryker, and he's accepted us totally, but Dotty...still doesn't trust us. Will you talk to her?"

((God you guys type a lot xD! Curse being away!! XP. I'm just gonna jump in >_> ))
Something wasn't right. Sky's maternal instincts kicked in as the sky blue fur on her back raised slightly. Why was she getting such a feeling? She knew her cubs were fine, she could see them both in the distance, but something was pulling at her heart.
Her flakes twitched as she took a few steps forward, sounds of crying and pain filling the air and her ears. Someone was in trouble!? Before the lioness took off in the direction of the echoing wails, she sniffed the air, filling her nostrils with the fresh scent of blood. There was something certainly wrong. Like lighting stretching across the gray sky, the Queen dashed off, her heart beating from fear. Nimbus.
It wasn't long until she could make out blurry and shadowy figures in the distance, she didn't go to far that day to hunt for her family and pride members. The faster she ran, the clearer the features of each lion got and she let out a breath when she saw Nimbus standing near the watering hole. That was a relief.
Her running came to a slow trot to finally a steady walk as she padded up alongside Nimbus, who was vigorously digging a whole in the ground. "Nimbus is everything alright? I heard cries and smelled blood.." She looked her mate up and down, being careful not to disrupt him while he...dug. "And not to sound demanding, but may I ask why your digging that hole?" It was amazing how many things could happen while she was off hunting.

Nimbus looked to Sky, eyes saddened. He stopped digging, the hole was big enough, and nuzzled her cheek briefly. "Come with me." There was no time to stop and talk, they'd have to do it on the way to Sienna's den. "No one is hurt physically, I don't think, but everyoneis a bit emotionally unstable..." His steps were light and quick, and his eyes were going grey with grief... "...Sienna gave birth to her still borns, hence the cryig and blood. Father has come to help me out, he should be back with her herbs in a moment..." As he said that he reached the den where his father already was.
"Naida have her eat these, they'll calm her down and help get to sleep." The herbs he had dropped by her feet were sweel smelling, almost like what a lullaby would smell like.
Talos nodded, but then shook his head. "It's not insane Stryker." He knew one of his great aunts were exactly the same. "I won't tell a single soul. Not my father.. not even Grandpa!" He nuzzled the cubs cheek reassuringly.

The harsh reality was hard for Aquos to keep his normal deminer as he passed back and forth. He had to keep reminding himself that the cubs were dead, as his parentle instenist battled with reality facts. Their cubs..So beautiful..Sienna is angred...Someone was trying to take their cubs away from them..I had to..NO! Aquos bit down hard on his lip, enough for him to taste his own blood as he closed his eyes. They are gone...They is nothing left for them...Nothing I can do..Sienna... Aquos padded slowly back to his mate as Naida left and layed beside her, licking her cheek to clear her tears. Yet this was all too much for the gentle male and his own tears trickled down the side of his cheeks. "Sienna...." he gently whispered her name to her before he became too choked up to say anything else.
"You better not." muttered the little cub. It wasn't too long after he muttered that the sounds of pain filled the cubs ears. He knew that voice anywhere..."Momma? MOMMA!!" the kits eyes begain to water as he took off back to the dens...Something was wrong with Momma Sienna..."I'm coming momma!!" He was her warrior! He had to help her! To protect her!
Rosa walked to her parents woundering if they had made the right move. Mommy and daddy were so sad right now..."We are ok see? We are right here..We've always been here...." Rosa padded over to Sienna, making herself as solid as she could and rubbed against her mother, purring to comfter her.
Aquos didn't know what to say as he lifted his head and looked to the ghostly figuers of his children than were just born. He remained silent as the teal and white cub apeared before him. He nodded absent mindedly as the cub asked him to talk to Dotty...Heck, someone needed to talk to him about all this!

Sienna's feelings mirrored Aquos's, though the loss went much deeper since she'd been the one to bear them, but then the 'hallucinations' appeared and it wasn't until little purple's lick to her nose that made her realize Zoe had been right, and deep in her heart she'd known the truth all along. Fearing touching them that they'd disappear forever, she didn't make a move at first and didnt' know what to say besides, "So it HAS been you three all along I've heard whispering things every now and then....thank you." When Rosa purred and rubbed against her it was all too much and she gathered her two daughters to her and wept, but this time more with joy than sadness, though it still would take some time to get used to and wrap her mind around the whole situation.
Cosmo cocked his head and gave his parents a sort of bashful look, "We...uh...hope you don't mind that we named ourselves. The youngest is Rosa, the masked miscreant is Lilac and I'm Cosmo." He'd been just about to say something more when he heard Naida returning and said quickly, "Quick, Gramma's coming!" He disappeared and reappeared on his father's back, making himself solid and burying into his father's mane to hide. Usually they would of just disappeared, but he figured now was not the best time and this worked just as well. 'Sides, it looked like Daddy was going to need alot of explaining to, as he looked rather confused.
"We'll be back, Mama...promise!" With that, Lilac disappeared and did the same as her brother and hid beside them. "Cos, I hope we did good...I don't like seeing Mama or Daddy cry," she whispered loud enough for her father to hear, concern etched in her voice. "Should we show ourselves to Gramma?"
"I think that's Mama's and Daddy's choice if they want her to know..."
Naida came in carrying the herbs Santos had given her and laid them before Sienna. "Eat these...it will help you to sleep and rest." She was surprised to see that though she was greif striken, Sienna was looking better than she had in a long time, and couldn't help but wonder why.
Sienna obediently ate what her mother gave her and closed her eyes, the tears still coming, but her heart was much lighter, and the lingering smell of the herbs soon sent her dozing, falling into a deep sleep where even dreams couldn't follow.

The moment her mate laid eyes upon hers, she worried. Nimbus was sensitive and had a beautiful heart, but it was rare to see him so upset. Her flakes drooped as did her ears and she stopped swishing her starry tail as he spoke, it hurt her ears and heart to listen.
Her blue eyes went misty as he finished his explanation. It took a lot to get this lioness to cry, and she was certainly coming close to it. She blinked back the tears, however, as they reached the place where everyone was present. She noticed Santos, a normally bright and cheery lion like his son, but there was only sadness.
Sky slowly, cautiously, padded over to her father-in-law and nuzzled him gently before looking back to her mate and doing the same to him. As the sky got dark, so did she, the stars along her body seeming to dim as she remained silent along with everyone else. The scene before her broke her heart.

Dotty had been waiting until the time was right to join the rest of her family at the pride. The thought of it had honestly unhindged the poor cub, not a position she was used to being in, but one dotted paw infront of the other she walked herself into the lands of the pride not completly knowing the rules of walking into these kinds of situations and saught ought her brother and her parents. They were really the ones she wanted to see first.

Stryker had been in a full blown run back to the den but the sight of a white spotted cub made him stop in his tracks. "Dotty?" he ran over to her. "Dotty, what are you doing here? I thought dad told you to wait with Aoure while momma...."his voice trailed off a little. "they didn't want you to be here while our siblings were born...."
Aquos was still at a loss for words but seeing Sienna embrace the two girls mad him smile. When Naida apeared, Aquos could feel the cubs about his back but didn't know if he should talk to Naida about the..No..Santos...Aquos had heard that Santos had a ghost sister around the lands. He'd talk to Santos later about his cub. When Sienna finally driffed off Aquos gave a small bow to Naida. "Thank you..I'd like to stay here with Sienna for a bit. I'll join you later." he said in a quiet voice to her.
Rosa joined her siblings in their fathers mane. "Shhhh! She'll hear you!" Rosa hissed to Cosmo.

Dotty saw Stryker and smiled at him then shrugged at her teal brother. "I know but I got bored and thought that it'd be a good time to come... Please let me come? I want to be at a home... Please don't send me away Stryker..." With her big eyes she looked up at him and blinked a couple times pouting a bit, knowing that no one could honestly say no to that face as she waved her tail feathers innocently around behind her. "Besides, we've already met them, remember?"

The teal cub's ears folded back in annoance. "Fine..I won't send you back. Just now that mommy amd daddy are really really sad right now...Specialy mommy..She's so sad...Oh..COUSIN TALOS!!!" he suddenly yelled out. "Come on Dotty, time to meet your other family...It's really really really big...Our Uncle is the king of this pride and his name is Nimbus...Our Aunts name is Sky and we have two cousins...Winter and Talos. They are both older than I am." he quickly explained to Dotty.

The cub covered her precious ears when Stryker yelled and followed him when he began to head towards the rest of the family. She knew that Mom and Dad would be sad, but wanted to try to cheer them up anyways. But, it didn't matter very much why she was here, she got her way with her brother and soaked up the info of her family. "Wow... Okay... Older cousins, Winter and Talos... Uncle Nimbus and Aunt Sky equal King Nimbus and Queen Sky..."

Santos nuzzled her back and sat back on his haunches, looking around. Now he was sort of... at a loss on what to do. He bowed his head to Nimbus and gave a forced smile. "There is nothing more I can do here. I need to get back to Rose Petal before Razi and amador burn the place down anyway..." He grumbled. "I'll be expecting word on fairings ASAP." And with that he turned and headed towards the boarder.
Nimbus licked Sky's muzzle softly before listening to his father's words. He could help letting out a soft chuckle as he thought of the terror Razi and Amador could wreak on the pride and shook his head. "Word will be brought the moment I get it. Bye Dad."
Talos almost fell over from the loud voice, hehadn't strayed far away from the cub. Straightening himself up his ran him bawthrough his fohawk of a mane. "I'm right here, Stry."
