February 20th
"So, ideas?" Jeane said, tapping a pen on her tablet. Rene sat ramrod straight in one of the kitchen chairs.
"How about you ask a priest?" Was Dhee's opinion. Jeane wrote it down.
"Power tools?" Chaya chimed in.
"Acid!" Conan called.
"Fire, Fire, Fire!" Draco squealed. "Or we can tie her to the back of a truck and drag them off?"
"I know!" Mignon beamed. "I bet you have to get kissed by your Prince Charming!"
"The ********?" Rene cried, standing. "I don't have a ******** Prince Char-"
"What about Ellic? Or Eban? Or Klaus? Or Kouji?" Mignon carefully backed away, grinning.
"You... ********!" Rene screamed, lunging for the onion girl. Within moments she had strangled herself, though.
"Well, at least this'll teach her some self restraint." Dhee said with a sigh.
"Yeah, if it doesn't KILL HER first, I'm sure her temper will be much improved." Jeane glared at her partner.

Saturday, August Twelfth . . . A lot has happened since I last wrote. For a while, I was in Haven, hiding from Eskouga in her palace. A lot of s**t happened. A whole lot of very shitty s**t. Mignon's still there. The ******** b***h betrayed us. Decided Eskouga would make a better Mommy. . . . Goddamnit. I won't cry. If I cry, I'm admiting that they beat me. And I can't stand that. I won't cry. Know what, Miggy? I loved you. I really think I did. But I hate you, I hate those bastards you're with, and I swear I'll kill all of you ********.

Nightmare ". . . no-" The young angel twisted in her bed, sweating. Images of leering faces, strong arms pushing her down-"No-" Hands pulling her chains, breath on her neck-"N-" She coud hear the man laughing."NO!" Rene woke up, hand reaching up for her heart. She panted for several minutes, eyes squeezed shut before- "DAMNIT!"

Thursday, December 20th 2007,
I look at the date and can scarcely believe it. Can it have been so long, really? So much has happened. Jeane refused to believe that Mignon had stayed of her own free will. The silly little fool mounted a rescue mission. Challanged Eskouga to come and fight her. I didn't cry. I refused to cry. And I refuse to now. Eskouga was more than a match for our sweet, beloved mother figure. She turned Jeane back to her wooden doll form and simply... Blasted her apart. But it was what she wanted. Unable to exist on Earth without her, the house was destroyed. And the destruction of Jeane destroyed Eskouga as well. I haven't seen anyone since then. Except Chaya. She's not much company anymore.

February 23rd:
I've gotten a reputation around here for not exactly being nice. It makes me laugh.
I mean, there are a lot of homeless around where we 'live'. That's why we live there. They ******** with me an Chaya at first. I mean, yenno. Girl child, girl teenager, not exactly something to be afraid of.
I killed one. Doesn't really bother me. He was trying to hurt Chaya, and I snuck up behind him and snapped his neck with the chains. She cried, but she always does. Always. No matter what I do, it's not good enough for her.

Reconnection, Part one
“Rene-”
“For the love of God, Chaya, Run!” Rene gasped, hand pressed hard against her stomach. She was bleeding pretty badly, but it wasn't going to stop her from running!
“You're bleeding-” The girl was sobbing, but she was doing as she was told and running. Rene, ignored her tears, ignored the nearly crippling pain in her stomach, and kept pushing on.
It'd been a normal day, by all accounts. Normal, right up until the some punk decided to pull a gun on a nice owner of a local grocery. Rene, who'd been out attempting to make some money by helping deliver groceries, hadn't been caught in the crossfire. Oh, no. She'd decided that seeing little old Mr. Samson get bullied by some snot nosed punk with a gun was too much to watch.
So, she'd walked up behind him, looped a chain around his neck, and broke it. Pretty fair, really.
Except, of course, what seemed fair and fine to Rene very rarely was. She'd made it back home to the warehouse that she and Chaya'd been living at for the past... ********, she didn't know how long. It'd been forever. But it turns out that the little punk had been part of a gang, and they didn't take kindly to little white haired angel girls breaking the necks of people they were training.
Chaya was fine, that was good. Rene, however, hadn't escaped so unharmed. One wound to the stomach, which hurt like hell and bled like a goddamn stuck pig, a few not-so-serious but still ******** painful wounds to her wings, and there still were bullets in her chains.
“You're bleeding.” Chaya whimpered again once they'd stopped, been forced to stop when Rene's knees just gave out. The older angel wheezed and panted, slowly pulling her hand away. ********, that didn't look good. “We need to go to the hospital-”
“Don't ******** need no hospital!” Rene growled, pushing herself back up to her feet. Oh, God, it hurt so bad- “Just... Gotta keep movin'.I'm leaving a pretty good blood trail, they'll keep following. Pissed 'em off pretty bad.”
There was a sliding noise, and Chaya pressed something against Rene's stomach. She shuddered, the cold air hitting her arms, but she moved Rene's hand on top of her coat. “Hold it. Stop the bleeding.” She said, taking Rene's free hand. “I'll lead you. I won't let you down. Okay?”
There was something on Rene's mouth that might've been a smile. “Okay.” She coughed, glad that Chaya wasn't looking to see the flecks of blood on her lips. Chaya was a good kid. She could get another chance. Rene didn't expect one at this point. She was almost ready for death.
But Chaya kept pulling on her, kept leading her. They left Durem behind, heading for Barton. A bit past the Reclamation Factory, still in the woods, Rene fell again. Chaya knelt, wiping the blood from Rene's face with the hem of her dress.
“You're a good kid.” Rene said roughly, resting an arm on her. “And, goddamnit, with the way this messed up world is, you can find a new home. Somethin' better. You deserve it, kid. Go.” She gestured her towards Barton.
“Rene, please-”
“Kid, I can't go any farther.” Rene laughed. She leaned her head back, staring up at the sky. “It hurts. I'm tired of it hurting, Chaya.”
The girl sniffled, and Rene was surprised when her small hands kept pulling. “Lean on me.” She sobbed. “Won't leave you. You didn't leave me. Everyone else is gone!” She was still sobbing, pathetically, and kept pulling. “One more try, please-”
Rene moaned, forcing herself up, leaning against her much smaller sibling. “One more try.” She murmured. It wasn't in her to give up.
It was easier, leaning on someone. Rene closed her eyes and trusted Chaya.
It'd been quite some time, and Chaya left Rene to lay against a wall. She bit her lip, surveying the large building before her. It wasn't in the best condition, with some high windows, but not high enough if she stacked things right...
She pushed and pulled things nearby, pulling herself up on a windowsill. She broke the window, clearing off any sharp ends, and climbed in. It was dry, it was warm, and it was very dusty. She crawled back out and down the things, helping Rene to her feet again. The girl was largely unconscious, and it was hard to pull her into the warehouse. But she did it, straining and pushing herself. Rene was inside soon enough, and she tried her best to make the girl comfortable.
“I'll take care of you. I promise.”

Recap: After Rene was injured, Chaya followed a large angel, Vic, to his home. Vic took Rene to the hospital, got her patched up, and gave them a temporary place to stay. Rene eventually found her uncle, Bob, and the rest of that group of the family (Her aunt, and her two new cousins). Draco was found wandering the streets, and eventually convinced Chaya to go on an adventure with him. Rene enjoyed a few months of solitude before a rather shady man called her to a 'D-Corporation'.
Rene found herself being blackmailed. There would be no official reports of her pair of strangling (Though both were in self defense, not that this strange corporation would let that be proved....) and found herself with the rather strong willed child Zach. Faced with a child much like she had been, Rene had new found sympathy for her long deceased guardian.
As the months passed, Zach got no better, and Rene acquired a second child, the Vampire Bat Hyte Wayne. Now faced with two rather nasty tempered children, her own growing depression, and her chains, Rene turned to drinking to escape.
Her Friend Vic, an angel from a different hierarchy, was faced with his own problem. There was an uprising of demons, and an antichrist was born. While Rene felt no particular loyalty to their God, nor to the world they wanted to save, she joined their fight because Vic was her friend, the only one she had at the time. She left her children with her Uncle for safekeeping, and went off to fight.
She served as a spy, defecting to the demon side early on. This was easily believed because of her long seated dislike of humans. They got everything, after all. God couldn't take just having angels, He had to make pets in His image. Disgusting, worthless little worms that got everything they wanted while His servants were banished for wanting anything-
Rene was made to watch over the mother of the soon to be born Antichrist, one of Vic's angels (This one was the Angel of War). During the following battle, Rene escaped to deliver her information, only to return to help to free the Angel of War. Though they were successful in freeing her, her halfbreed child was born. Rene helped it enter the world, and was faced with a dilemma: To kill it and possibly spare millions, or to kill it and have killed an innocent baby. In the end, Rene decided to put some faith in fate not being unchangeable and left the child alive. All escaped safely. Vic was offered a chance to ascend, and declined it to stay with his excessively handsome darkmeat boyfriend.
Rene found herself in the presence of another God, though not the one that she remembered. This one was milder; more of a 'New Testament' to the fiery 'Old Testement' that banished her. Though He was different, she still wanted to sing for Him. In place of the God that banished her, this God apologized. He lifted her chains from her. She had learned many things in her years on Gaia. She had learned to put others first, to have value in friendships. To trust in good, even if there was a chance of evil. She had learned to be strong and to protect herself, and she had learned how to be human. She had learned how to love someone unconditionally, and she had been loved with just the same amount of care.
She sang for this God, thought it was a mockery of the song she had once sang for her Lord. He sang with her. Rene still works at her uncle's bar as a part time tender, still drinks a bit too much to escape feelings she doesn't want to examine too closely.
