Trieze is a better pilot in my opinion. He just seems to be a brilliant (yet crazy) leader.

there is no way that treize is a better pilot than milliardo[i like his real name better than his fake one so i will use it instead]. i think treize is freaken awsome, but in a coolness and piloting contest milliardo blows him away.

I agree ^^ 3nodding Milliardo kicks a** in a mobile suit, but that's not to say Trieze couldn't hold his own. It seemed he gave Wu Fei a run for his money (though we never got to see them fight it out till the end crying ) and if I understand it right, he piloted the Epyon and survived. Many people couldn't even live through piloting the zero-system not to mention actually mastering it. That would stack him pretty high on my awesome-pilots list.
All in all, moving away from battle stats...I liked Trieze's attitude and style much better. Zechs started out with a lot of class and style, caring very much about integrity and honor. In the end, he sorta dropped all morality to become public enemy number one. Granted, he had his reasons and his intentions may have been all well and good, but Trieze hung on to the chivalry he so deeply believed in until he died.
For that I say "Go Trieze!"

Regarding Treize's piloting skill, we only see him actually fight twice: once when he goes up against Mobile Doll Leos, where his MS takes much more damage than it should and yet comes out spotless, and against Wu Fei later in the show. They never say he piloted Epyon, just that he used its system to show himself the future.

I'm torn between the two. I liked Milliardo's reason to fight. He had a kingdom to avenge and a sister to protect, but Treize took it upon himself to be sacrificed so that the people would hate war. They both have good points and bad points. Personally I think they're about equal overall.

we can't forget that he mastered the original tallgeese which gave him a heart attack the first time he piloted it, because it was so fast. and that it couldn't even keep up with milliardo's reflexes later in the series. also he fought heavy arms, sandrock, and deathsythe all at the same time and did not lose. plus in that fight he was controling two MD'S while he fought the three of them.

I think Zechs lost his focus once he did in the murderer of his parents. Between that and all the madness going on around him, I think he kinda went off his nut, as they say... but boy, if you have to go, he sure chose a rough row to hoe. smile I think he was hoping Heero actually *would* kill him so he could rest in peace... but even when he did find his sanity in time to sacrifice his life, the sacrifice wasn't accepted--Deity sent him back to fight another day.
Boy can you tell I'm plotting fanfics... now if only my day job would give me time to write...

yeah it is a tough choice since both of them are cooler than quatre. but milliardo is cooler and a better pilot so he wins.
