He allowed himself to be led, a bit taken aback by her sudden girlish enthusiasm. Soonafter, said bedroom door slammed and all was (almost) silent for quite some time.

Talon's hair was likewise mussed, and he was looking much more relaxed than he had in a long while, his ears folded back contentedly, and wearing only his boxers. Leaning heavily on the doorframe, still a bit wobbly, he lit up a bit when she mentioned a bath as this was exactly what he'd hoped for.

"Sounds good." he told her agreeably, pushing off of the frame to follow her.

He took the time to both shut the door and step out of his boxers before he slipped under the faucet with her, snugging up closely behind her and wincing a moment as he adjusted to the temperature before relaxing as the water trailed over them both. "Mmhmm..." he murmured absently, finding the soap and running it over the flat of her stomach to work up a lather.

His thoughts had started to turn to the tub outside and his nerves, slowly, had begun to shrug off the warmth of the afterglow and awaken themselves once more.

"I love you too...very much." he murmured against one ebony-purple headfin, his hands continuing to rove over her on their own, soaping whatever they could reach before moving on to lather her hair. "Even if I've been flighty this past couple of weeks."

The spray of the water was warm, almost hypnotically comforting, and, under other circumstances, would have made him loathe to want to leave it.

He said nothing to this, but in unspoken agreement, one hand abandoned lathering her hair to place itself over the hand that was still on her belly. He, honestly, still wasn't sure about the whole father thing...or that a child in their care would do very well, but he was at least sure enough to know that trying was all either of them could do at this point. The baby was coming whether they liked it or not, after all.

At length, he set the soap aside and let the spray wash away the suds. He'd gotten residually clean in the process of washing her and hoped this would absolve him of having to go through the bother of bathing himself as well. He was starting to get antsy, and in another few minutes, it would become obnoxiously obvious.

"Want to head out to the tub now?" he asked, his voice remaining somehow casual.

He placed an arm around her shoulders, walking with her out to the tub and hoping to god that he hadn't screwed this up.

As it turned out, for once in his life, he hadn't.

The surface of the tub had become a white froth of bubbles from the bubblebath he'd put there before going to find her. Interspersed throughout them was a scattering of rose petals.

The air was fragrant with late spring breeze, sunshine, roses, and the faint aromatic scent of the bubblebath as he looked to Yeande for her reaction. It hadn't turned out badly, considering it had been concieved and executed all in about fifteen minutes on his part...

...he just hoped Karma wouldn't notice the denuded roses in her front yard until later.

He shrugged slightly, though a very faint flush had risen in his cheeks. "I wanted to do something special, that's all..." He approached her and wrapped his arms around her, nuzzling the side of her head with affection. "....like I said, I've missed you." His tail snaked around his ankle so it would stay still.
